@Ripleysfirst Thankyou, I did think that. If the line has faded again today does that mean I've already ovulated? Or once you have your positive are the rest irrelevant x

Ripleysfirst · 12/05/2020 15:14

I think after the positive the rest is irrelevant. All the tests can tell you is when your lutenising hormone peaks, and that is 12-24 hours before ovulation.
After it drops all you can tell is that you’re past the peak.

Ripleysfirst · 12/05/2020 15:14

It’s worth probably doing the deed the day after it peaks too though, just in case!

mumoftwobeauts · 12/05/2020 16:25

@Ripleysfirst thanks. My oh will be happy to hear that 😂

Donnat89 · 12/05/2020 17:09

Hey ladies how is everyone ? I am about 6DPO today I think .... one app says 5 one says 6 so I'm going with the 6 as that seems about right !

Still not turned into a crazy lady and feel quite relaxed just hope it stays this way !

Xxx

@Donnat89 hi and and glad to hear you are still feeling chilled this month. I'm just waiting for AF... feeling better than this time last cycle but the last couple of days of waiting are tough! Praying that AF stays away!

Boof87 · 12/05/2020 18:11

Hi all, new here! Currently on cycle 4 and 5DPO. Wasnt feeling great today so came across this forum which has really put me at ease that there are so many people in a similar situation. I have quite a few ladies around me at the moment who managed to conceive either on first time or very close to. So it's quite frustrating and really getting me down. Anyone have any recommendations for distractions during the TWW?! I really dont want to become obsessive over all the signs and symptoms and try and keep myself relaxed! Fingers crossed. Good luck to everyone this month!

Sammyclaire22 · 12/05/2020 18:17

Good thanks @Donnat89 I'm 6dpo too so will be joining you in the tww! Fairly chilled too, watching for symptoms but nothing of note so not been too bothered. Going to try holding out until the 21st to test.

Welcome @boof87, lots of different methods for surviving it- personally I try to keep busy. I normally track closely but I'm really regular so have kept it minimal this month which seems to help a bit as I'm not thinking of it the moment I wake (used to take bbt) I also try and get loads of the little jobs that get put off done as once you do get pg I was too tired to do anything for months last time and at least something productive comes of it all

Skyla01 · 12/05/2020 19:29

@Boof87 welcome! It is nice to know lots of other people are in the same boat, plus you can rant or cry on here if you need. There'll always be someone who knows exactly how you feel. I've been struggling with the TWW since lock down- fewer distractions. But I also have found tracking less closely to help. This last bit is a bigger though!

MadisonC · 12/05/2020 19:43

Hey @Skyla01 I'm not sure if the temp drop is too soon or not as it's my first time tracking. It seems a little early compared to what's on google as I'm not due on until Sun/Mon. Also we had the window open last night and I was actually a bit cold lol, so I don't know how distorted that would make it?! We'll see what tomorrow's bbt brings!

Thanks for the welcome @Ripleysfirst ! & welcome to @Boof87 Smile. I've definitely not mastered the distractions this month, but then previous months I've been fine. I think for me it's learning to accept the waves. Taking my temp every morning has definitely made it more on my mind, but I've also quite enjoyed getting a better understanding of my body and my OH has joined in a little more in wanting to know what's happening which has been nice as I've shielded him in the past from what goes on in my head! The thing I do find helpful is to make plans for when AF comes that I wouldn't be able to do if I were pregnant, like have a drink and certain foods, then either way I'm winning x

Donnat89 · 12/05/2020 23:24

@Sammyclaire22 yes I plan on waiting and only testing if AF is late I should be due around 21st so literally just over a week to go but I am not feeling crazy this month although sight back ache has stated usually a sign of impending AF but it is what it is and not gonna obsess ! Xxxx

@Donnat89 sounds like you have a good approach this cycle. Hope you can stay this relaxed next week too.

You are a super cycler- I'm just coming to the end of cycle 2 since I joined this thread but I'm sure you are already on to 3!

Boof87 · 13/05/2020 10:21

Thanks all! (Not sure how to tag on here!) But sounds like a good idea to treat yourself to something you couldn't have (if....fingers crossed!) Or when AF comes! I take my temp every morning but told myself I'm not gonna open FF app any more during the day.
I was driving behind a 'Wellness' (the supplements) van yesterday and the back of it had 'baby on board'....could it be a sign?! Haha!

Ripleysfirst · 13/05/2020 10:56

Morning all! So proud of myself, I’m 14dpo and I haven’t tested since 10dpo.
I’m gonna hold out until Saturday I think, as I’m due AF on Friday. It feels like it’s coming but if I don’t test I can’t get a BFN 😂

Skyla01 · 13/05/2020 11:40

@Boof87 i haven't opened my app since cd1! It's hard to know for sure whether I'm late or not yet as not 100% sure of dates. But going to wait another few days.

@Ripleysfirst I hope this approach is helpful for you sanity! I just can't face a bfn chased home by AF arriving so going to try and hold out until Saturday too. Tbh not feeling that tempted to test I just want this week to be over (preferably without AF arriving)!

Juno231 · 13/05/2020 11:42

@mumoftwobeauts yup sounds like you have ovulated already! Always nice to have it confirmed with a faded line though. What CD does that make your OD?

Right girls my RHR has dropped so I'm getting ready to hop on the June bus! AF should arrive this weekend. Was hoping it was an implantation dip yday but it has remained low so alas...

Already put an amazon order through for evening primrose oil, ubiquinol and more femometer OPKs. Depending on when AF shows the apps are predicting OD on 31st May/1st June but that's assuming another cycle where I ovulate on CD16, and so far that seems to only be happening every other cycle, so I think I'll start with the assumption of O day being on the 29th just so I don't miss it!

Skyla01 · 13/05/2020 11:54

@Juno231 I hope that's not the case but maybe it is nice to get some pre-warning. Sounds like you are armed and ready to go for next cycle!

mumoftwobeauts · 13/05/2020 12:06

@Juno231 well I stopped the pill on 17th April so been waiting to ovulate! No period yet. Took 3/4 weeks to ovulate, I'm pretty fertile and get pregnant quick so fingers crossed!!

Ripleysfirst · 13/05/2020 12:56

Yeah @juno231 my resting heart rate has also dropped so she’s coming to get me:/

Donnat89 · 13/05/2020 20:12

Back has started to ache so pretty sure Its not my mont again but still staying relaxed and not tempted to test at all ! I have 7 days until AF is due to almost through the dread TWW

You are all being so restrained, I'm inspired! I did a test y'day morning at 9dpo, bfn of course. So I'm going to be strong and hold out till Saturday, even that might be too soon but I figure if it is my month there might be a squinted. Thank you all!

Skyla01 · 14/05/2020 08:44

@Donnat89 here's hoping the rest of the wait goes quickly too. And I hope that things are ok with the family.

@MadisonC waiting until Saturday sounds like a good idea. By then I think you have a reasonable chance of having a line. Think I'm going to test tomorrow. Feeling quite nervous already. My AF better not arrive in the meantime!

MadisonC · 14/05/2020 08:49

@Skyla01 I hope so. It's such a strange time these last few days, feel so hopeful but also want to be prepared for another month of trying. I've had slightly sore boobs and mini cramps but in reality that could mean either! x

Sammyclaire22 · 14/05/2020 18:45

Sorry to hear that @donnat89- hopefully AF stays away though! Im 8dpo and I'm starting to get watery cm but I think that's normal for me. No other symptoms bar some cervix twinges and hayfever which is nothing new. Just hoping I don't start spotting again the next few days as that's usually why i poas as I know I will get worked up over the week incase it's implantation, then have a big dissapointment plus AF! I'm adamant I will wait until next Thursday for once though just to prove I have the willpower. I hope haha.

Skyla01 · 14/05/2020 19:47

@Sammyclaire22 here's hoping your body doesn't send you any conflicting signals! I hate symptom spotting- I wish I feel anything different at all! It's a rollercoaster- one symptom is good, the next one bad, the next one gets your hopes up again... Aaah!!
