It all sounds pretty normal, and if you had no symptoms you’d probably worry more 😂

Hi congratulations on all the BFPs. I’m somewhere in my TWW but have been having irregular cycles so not really sure where I’m up to if I’m honest. According to one of my apps I’m due AF 4th June but that would make this a 40 day cycle. Had some slight spotting yesterday for all of an hour but none since. Sorry to vent just feel I need someone to go through this with.

Welcome @Hopesandrainbows :) 10dpo is still early to test so don’t be too disappointed with a bfn... when is AF due?

And also welcome to @Florence13 - vent away! I vented plenty last month and I’m sure I will vent plenty more over the next two weeks 😂

Back in the 2ww as of today:) I have a long luteal phase though, so have 16 days before I can test 😭😭

Aww I know the feeling I have a long luteal phase to which is why I’m not sure when to test. Was thinking this weekend but then I’ve had some brown/pinkish mucous today so not sure if AF is on its way.

@Ripleysfirst Thank you 😊 I'm due on Monday/ Tuesday. I'm quite lucky in the fact that I always come on 13-14 days past ovulation. When I fell pregnant in December I tested on day 10 and got a faint positive. I don't think it's going to happen for me this month though. We did BD at the right time and I definitely ovulated but I ended up getting thrush early in the TWW had really bad period cramps yesterday with backache but nothing today. I guess you never know, right? 🤷🏻‍♀️ How many months have you been trying and is this for your first too?

@Hopesandrainbows been trying since September last year, it would be my first. Never been pregnant even, been through a load of fertility tests recently as I’m turning 40 next week and was worried but doc says I’m basically ok!
If things don’t work naturally I’ll be looking into IVF but would rather avoid that...

It was a negative test this morning which was what I expected. Disappointed as I was so hopeful this month! I even had a pelvic exam and sonographer predicted ovulation exactly right and so we tried at the right times and before. I think the stress and upset of hearing the announcement that two colleagues at work are pregnant and the fact I got thrush this month probably didn't help. Bloody typical! But the most annoying thing I hear is when people (my mother in law...) says "just relax and it will happen". Just read this fantastic article on this exact thing:

@hopesandrainbowsYeah if I didn’t track things accurately and just waited for it to magically happen I’d never get pregnant at all. I’ve been relaxing and waiting for about 5 years now. Been religiously planning since last year as I’m panicking now. Some people when they’re young seem to sneeze and get pregnant...
Although I do kinda agree with trying to chill during the 2ww as there isn’t much we can do!

@Donnat89 how are you doing? Is this FW for you now?

I'm 2DPO as far I know. It'll be next week that the TWW will get to me again.

I’m 6 dpo today and it’s my 40th birthday day after tomorrow. The 2ww sucks!
Got the fridge full of booze free fizz but really wish I could have a little of the real thing...
No symptoms but then again it’s far too soon.

@ripleysfirst tbh I'd still drink if I were you! Until there's a bfp it doesn't count lol. Certainly not a couple of glasses! Odds are even if you've conceived you won't have implanted by then either so foetus wouldn't even be attached to you. Then again I've always been a bit more lax about such things!

@Juno231 yeah I might have a glass... I’m just very aware that any little thing could lessen my chances :/ I didn’t drink leading up to ovulation this time either as I wanted to make the the environment was good for everything down there...
This is the last month I’ll be trying for a while so wanting to do it all perfectly as I can. But it’s so hard trying to be a perfect uterus.

Hi all yes it's FW but tbh last months test has really messed me up so me and OH are having a break this month from trying as it's just so upsetting

I will be keeping an eye on the thread and hope to see some BFPS ! X

@Juno231 unfortunately I got my period! On day 3 of it now 😞 and have wisdom tooth infection to add to the delight! Here's to next month!! I'm taking probiotics everyday (particularly atm to cancel out antibiotic effects) and have bought omega 3 fish oil to take after ovulation and calc Fluor. I'll be rattling! 😆😂

@Hopesandrainbows ah no I'm sorry to hear that! I always find I have a renewed resolve at the start of a new cycle, with all the things I'm planning on doing to make it EVEN better this time lol. What cycle are you on now? I take omega 3 as well, and pregnacare, ubiquinol, and.... evening primrose oil. We can rattle together!

I'm on 4 DPO now so just bored tbh! I always worry I didn't get OD right as we stop DTD pretty much day of/day after ovulation. It usually takes two weeks for OH to recover from all that BD so if I was to ovulate late I'd be missing it each time!

@Juno231 unfortunately my period arrived well at least I think it is I have been spotting on and off for several days now so think I’m just having a weird period. Onwards and upwards for the next cycle. Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

@Juno231 well we started trying last October and I fell pregnant pretty quickly in the December but I miscarried just before New Years. So this is my 6th cycle since then. Seems to be taking longer this time. I know 6 months isn't that long but it feels like an eternity when you build your hopes up every month.

DTD is exhausting and I keep kicking myself that we didn't do it on ovulation day when I was in loads of ovulation pain. But as you said new cycle! We have said that this time every other day and then 3 days in a row when I get smiley even if I do feel like I can't anymore haha! And we did it twice in one day last cycle and then pressure got to us both and it's hard isn't it? I've never wanting anything so much xx

I totally understand how you feel @Hopesandrainbows - this is literally the thing I want most in the world and it feels so far out of reach.
I can’t do anything MORE to control it. And I hate that.
9dpo today, BFN of course (I’m only using the internet cheapies). I had a glass of wine and a glass of champagne on my birthday and I feel guilty... it wouldn’t all be so hard if it was a guaranteed bfp and all this struggle had an end date!

Hey all, so unfortunately AF came last week.
I’m now moving on to the next stage, waiting for the fertility clinics to start up again so I can have IUI. Then if that doesn’t work (and I don’t think it will), I’ll be heading for IVF.
Because of COVID, there’s a waiting list of 30 people ahead of me, and that’s just for the planning appointment so i won’t be back in the 2ww for a couple months now. I just need a break from trying in the meantime. Baby dust and health to you all ❤️

@ripleysfirst that sucks, im so sorry to hear that! Keep us in the loop when the process kicks off and hopefully you'll have your BFP soon enough xx
