TTC after miscarriage - May 2020

I'm CD1 of cycle 2 TTC #1 so thought I'd start a new thread for anybody in the same situation who didn't get their April BFP.

I had a MMC found on a scan at 9.5weeks after seeing HB at 7 weeks 🙁 I had SMM on the 19th March but no luck in my first month and AF got me today. Normal cycles are 28days so I hope to be testing around the 20th May. This month I will be tracking ovulation using CB connected and trying out Preseed for the first time hoping this helps towards my 🌈 but tonight I'll just be having a G&T 💁🏾‍♀️

Ladies, has anyone gotten high fertility on day 7 of their cycle? I had a couple days of spotting before AF (4 days) hit with full force for 4 days, so I readjusted my dates and counted the full flow as day 1. I initially counted the spotting days as day 1 etc., but changed it after I saw that AF was heavier 4 days later.

Anyway, I was planning to do SMEP this month but hubby and I decided to start early, on day 6/7 instead of day 8 just in case haha. Yesterday I did a cb opk and it read has low fertility. This morning when I wiped, I noticed quite a lot of ewcm. I did a ic opk and it was still negative (two lines, but test line was a bit lighter than the control line). Later this afternoon, I noticed more ewcm and remembered that I had a migraine and heartburn the whole of yesterday, so I thought I'd just test with a cb opk just to see if I'm in my fertile period, and it showed the flashing smiley! I usually get about 5 flashing smileys before peak, but they usually start from about day 10 or so.

Does anyone get flashing smileys so soon after AF? I'm wondering if I'm still messed up post MC 🙈

How long ago was ur mc? Could it be possible that you are pregnant? As opks tests can’t tell difference between Lh and hcg and can be positive during pregnancy?

Bit annoyed lol today was day after ovulation and trying to get one last DTD in and Dh has performance issues :( so don’t feel like I’ve done enough

@2020wish no, definitely not pregnant. MC was on the 23rd of March, and my Hcg levels only went down below 5 in the last week so it took about 6 weeks for everything to return to normal. Also, only just got the flashing smiley, so no LH surge detected yet. This is just a bit earlier than I expected for me though. Oh well, will give it a go and dtd every day😂

@2020wish don't beat yourself up about it. If you've dtd right before ovulation, I think that's what counts anyway. I'm sure you've done enough Xx.

Really confused woke up this morning nothing on tampon that's been in 9 hours, last night cramps were so bad and there was pink/red blood so not sure whether to class it as still spotting or CD1, I've a bad feeling that this AF is going to be very painful as last night I had to take the meds the hospital gave me for the pain I know I'm still out but think I'll change my app to still spotting, this happened last month started spotting on the Monday and AF came on the Saturday which is when it's due this time. I've always been regular as clockwork 27 days bleed for 4 days with one day of no bleeding in between so 5 days in total. Never realised a miscarriage could cause all this.
I'm hankering after an AVA bracelet but the cost is putting me off even though I know I could get most of the money back from selling on. I struggle to take my temp as I'm up and down all night with DD so I don't sleep for more than 3 hours solid plus when I get up u have to go to the loo so tracking and temping is difficult!
Sorry for the long post just a bit fed up with it all,
Looking forward to seeing some BFPs this month it keeps me going knowing it does happen,

Oh forgot to add been up since 4am thanks to the little darling had a machine coffee (caffeinated) for the first time ever and there is a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge for when I'm finally on CD1 xx

@Rainbowhope11 I didn't get my static until CD13 and no flashing smiles but have read that some people will have more flashys, if you had 5 that would put your ovulation around cd14 is that early for you?

@2020wish you can literally only do so much, stress and worry doesn't help with ttc so try and keep them away from you as much as possible. It only takes 1 sperm out of the million that are in there and actually the odds don't really increase that much from one extra BD so try to relax 😊

@Dipsy77 that is really confusing and tbh I have no words of wisdom as I haven't experienced it before but the coffee and wine combo over the day will definitely help get you through. I hope that CD1 actually comes quicker for you so you can start a fresh. xx

@Dipsy77 what was your flow like yesterday? Was it a like normal AF? It might start up again a little later on. My cycles were all over the place post MC they are only just settling now, I didnt realise how much of an impact it would end up having either!

Ah, I am completely with you on the early morning coffee was up at 5am with my little girl too. At least it is sunny or getting light at that time, would be awful if it was winter xx

@VP91x it was very light a small amount when wiping and a small amount on a pad but was very very painful cramps backache and leg ache which have now disappeared !
Yes winter would be bad . We have watched dancing fruit on you tube and now watching little baby bum, she is 7 months and obsessed x

Sorry @SmileyT I meant I usually have about 5 days of flashy smileys, but they usually start from about cycle day 10/11 or so. I'm not sure how many I will get this time around, but smiley flashy's from day 7 is unusual for me. I'm seeing lots of ewcm though, so I'm just going to dtd every day to make sure I give myself a chance.

@Dipsy77 ah, I hope it starts properly for you today so that you can have a fresh start to your month and get that bottle of wine open!

Haha, bless her. My little one is obsessed with Paw Patrol, keeps her in one place for a little while whilst I get some coffee and wake up a bit more 😴😴 xx

@Rainbowhope11 ah those are all good signs if flashing and having EWCM too! Our bodies are so funny aren't they. Hopefully you get your static soon too even if it is earlier than usual! Xx

It so weird, because two days ago I was thinking, I can't bear to wait another minute to try and conceive again after waiting almost 7 weeks for my Hcg levels to drop and to get my first AF. I was calculating my dates and figured that I would probably only be in my fertile week next week sometime, and I was trying to figure out what to do to pass the time. Ah I guess I have to be thankful for the little blessings @SmileyT 😊 how are you doing? Xx

@VP91x yes paw patrol here too channel 620 is a saviour at the minute god I'm such a bad mum 7 month and she's a telly addict she knows what the remotes for and stares me out till I turn tv over

Well this morning my the tests are even more weird! Clearblue is a ⭕️ (I’ve got a spare digi reader) and the internet cheapie is a bit darker 😂🙄

@Sallyjo27 did you use a new reader for that one? Xx

@Sallyjo27 because a new reader will have showed you blank circle for its first reading regardless! As it takes it as a baseline. Your peak on CB would still be right because it predicts ov within 48hrs. So lines getting darker would mean the IC is picking up on it now too. Xx

@vp91x it was an old reader that I used last month. I ran out of sticks in the end so bought a new one for this month. But that makes sense lol thank you better get DTD then! X

@Sallyjo27 ah yeah, you can re-use the reader! It keeps the baseline and 'remembers' from previous month which is clever. It's annoying you can't just buy the sticks on their own considering that you can re-use the reader xx

Anyone taking calc fluor... how are you getting on with it?
Last couple days I've felt sick and a bit like gassy yano when you sound like your constantly growling lol like it comes up to your throat .. just feel a bit groggy and I'm wondering if it could be that as I've been taking it like 4 days now and not taken it before. Not sure what else it could be unless I've eaten something funny 🤔🤷‍♀️ xx

@HE88 yes this will be my first cycle since completely stopping breastfeeding and although I did manage to get pregnant whilst breastfeeding I had no periods for 13 months so I know for sure it was messing with my cycles! I’m hoping this first month since stopping completely will be lucky for me 🤞 how are you today? Xx

@SmileyT yes I know what you mean I am overthinking things and just need to stop. You get like that sometimes don’t you. Yes it’s tru I didn’t have any symptoms before testing last time either. I’ll be thinking of you! Xx

@VP91x yes it’s true I am feeling better again today thanks. And af has stopped. So strange- heavy for a day and then spotting for two days. Never has the bleeding only lasted three days for me before! So crazy at the moment! But it wasn’t meant and it’s a fresh cycle for me 😊 How are you doing? Xx
