TTC after miscarriage - May 2020

I'm CD1 of cycle 2 TTC #1 so thought I'd start a new thread for anybody in the same situation who didn't get their April BFP.

I had a MMC found on a scan at 9.5weeks after seeing HB at 7 weeks 🙁 I had SMM on the 19th March but no luck in my first month and AF got me today. Normal cycles are 28days so I hope to be testing around the 20th May. This month I will be tracking ovulation using CB connected and trying out Preseed for the first time hoping this helps towards my 🌈 but tonight I'll just be having a G&T 💁🏾‍♀️

@VP91 soo i used the ferti lily earlier and took it out about 1.5 hour later there was small amount of "residue" shall we call it 🤦🏽‍♀️ in the cup when i took it out is that normal?
But i loved it literally no mess at all! 🤞🏻🌈

Hi @Ruthsoph Most of us are still TTC following a MC but If you had sex around the 26th April and it was your fertile period then it could definitely be a new pregnancy 2 weeks later. I'm guessing you had a negative pregnancy test after the MC or had it confirmed the MC was complete, if so congratulations 🌈 ❤️.

@Niisa that’s been my approach lately- just dtd quite a lot. It didn’t work for me this month but I felt more happier and more myself around the month. And I wasn’t quite as disheartened when af showed as I hadn’t invested as much time peeing on sticks. However, if I don’t have any luck soon I think I will track things a little more. My cycles are so all over the place right now I just don’t know what to expect! But if you’re in a position to dtd lots then go for it!

@SmileyT I know what you mean about worrying when we get pregnant again. I feel like it’s such a long road ahead- conceiving and then waiting for scans! It seems such a marathon of emotions. But we have no choice but to be strong and find a way to get through this :)

Well that's me out this month AF is now here with a bang !, even though my MMC was feb this was my first cycle due to the prolonged bleeding and needing more medication for retained product. I'm going to try SMEP next cycle that's if my DP is up to it with his back I'm so stressed with it and feel so bad because he is in so much pain and there isn't really much anyone can do for him till physios are back up and running x

@2020wish sorry to hear about the letter. This happened to me too and it really stung. It reminded me of when I was expecting my son and how exciting it was. You are right you would expect them to communicate more as clearly this happens often. I hope you are ok... and also regarding your 9 year old- we tried dtd the other day and my son was asleep in his cot next door and he woke up so couldn’t finish 🙈 I feel your pain!

@HE88 that sounds like it could be a water infection. Funnily enough my mom has one at the moment and I went to pick up antibiotics for her. You can have a phone consultation with your gp and they can prescribe xx

@SmileyT thank you, I’ve just done another IC Ovulation test and there’s a faint line but the clearblue test now has a static smilie not sure which one is correct? Suppose it doesn’t matter we will keep DTD over the next few days x

@Dipsy77 sorry af got you! I’m on my period too. It sucks! But if it’s your first period since the mc it’s also good to help your body to try and find its rhythm again. Shame about dps back. Give him lots of back rubs with the candles. Show you care and use some nice aromatherapy oils. I’m sure it will help relax both of you. Xx

@Hayleylou89 I have left it in overnight each time I have used it as I always fall asleep after! But I am sure that's normal! Did you get on with it okay? X

@VP91 I didnt leave it in as i dnt want to get UTI or any other bacterial issues as i suffer with UTI's so took it out, as it says to only leave it in an hour but found it much better than it all leaking out fingers crossed for us 🙏 x

@Dipsy77 sorry to hear AF came! I was told it means your body is doing what it needs to, to get back to normal. Fingers crossed for next month!
@mommybear05 I know! No idea what’s going on but will persevere 😂 I’ll keep testing with ic tomorrow

@Sallyjo27 yeah that's crazy my ic always match my CB, but just DTD and I'd be curious to see what the ic say over the next couple days.

@Dipsy77 ahh sorry that you are out, but hopefully your next cycle settles down a bit more, no more cycle twin for me 😕 I did SMEP this cycle and obviously might not have been successful but really feel like I covered all bases.

@Sallyjo27 you're giving me hope that my Cb will go static even though IC is still faint. I think CB is more sensitive anyway or gives you a bigger window?

@Mommybear05 ahh, I had a similar situ the other night. My partner literally was finishing and I heard my daughter wake up 😂 he rushed to er, finish off properly. We had the fear she would come running in! Xx

@SmileyT odd isn’t it. In the past they’ve always matched too... maybe it’s just a bad batch of IC I’ve only got 1 left so will use that tomorrow afternoon and see what it says. It’s also about 4 days early for me this month too but it’s the 1st proper cycle I’ve had since
I’ve been doing the SMEP this month too. It’s exhausting, romance has well and truly been forgotten 😂🙈

Hey @Mommybear05 I ended up phoning the Dr he has sent a prescription for antibiotics to the chemist for me. I'll need to phone the chemist tomorrow to find out when I can pick them up. He was asking me if I was pregnant and I was eh I don't know I could be I could not be. Xx

@SmileyT. I’m alright thanks. Feeling rather impatient today for some reason. Today the road ahead feels so long! Af is extremely light too. Cd3 and it’s barely filling a pad. It was weird, like it came on really fast and quick for a day then light for two days. I had a shorter cycle so my lining may be thin if that’s it?? So feel like I never really had a shot! and that’s disheartening. Honestly I’m sick of my body being all over the place!

@VP91x honestly yesterday my IC was so faint. Today it’s a tiny bit darker. And my CB this morning was a flashy yesterday it was a circle. It’s happened very fast 😂 my natural cycles app says I’ll ovulate Thursday so maybe the CB are more sensitive x

@VP91x 😂😂😂 Rush to finish haha. it just didn’t happen for us. I was like no let’s leave it haha. We did try it in the morning before he woke up to be fair which is always risky! So we had to wait for him to take a nap!

@HE88 yes that happened for my mom they sent the prescription straight to the chemist. You can take antibiotics when pregnant if you are. I had quite a few infections when I was pg. they’re not nice! I hope you feel better soon xx

@Sallyjo27 yeah romance was dead early on this month 😂 the scheduling sex is a lot, but all worth it if it works out xx

@Mommybear05 I know it's hard to do but try not to read too much into the length and stuff of periods, I feel like people get pg with all different types of cycles so all we can do is give ourselves the best chance. I'm CD24 today and DP has convinced me to test on Sunday if AF hasn't arrived, honestly no symptoms at all not even pre-AF so who knows what's going on, but just meditating a lot and trying not to worry 😐

@SmileyT I never had any symptoms early with my other two pregnancies. Only from about 8/9 weeks. You might be in with a chance stay positive :-) xx

Glad we are using the pre seed tbh! Although he still hasn't mentioned anything 🤔🤔 he has probably spotted it in the sink cupboard, haha.

@Mommybear05 hope you are okay and tomorrow you are feeling less frustrated once AF has completely gone hopefully you will start to see ov symptoms soon and you can feel like you have a new start.

Ah yeah naps are a tricky one too! We just always stick to before bed now. My little one is always up by 5.30/6 latest so no chance of a morning wake up haha x

Thanks @Mommybear05 the Dr did say the antibiotics are safe to take if I'm pregnant so that put my mind at ease. They are horrible I hate them they make you feel so rubbish.
Hope you are feeling better in a few days it's hard trying to understand what's going on in our bodies, did you say you have recently stopped breastfeeding? Xx
