Hi,

I’m 29 and on cycle 2 of TTC. I’m 3dpo and now in my two week wait. I have no friends with children or anyone who is TTC so looking for online buddies to ride this out with!

Anybody in the same boat as me who wants to chat and be a little neurotic together?

Xx

Fingers crossed for you @rosie990 xx I’m ok thanks, trying to distract myself as I promised myself I wouldn’t get obsessive, I know how lucky I am to already have children but now we’ve decided that we’re not done and want another I want it to happen now 😂😂

Suki2020 · 14/04/2020 20:38

@Lolliloo1234 it does sound like you have all the symptoms of being pregnant hun. Did you say it was Friday you will test again?
I feel so deflated today, not knowing if I’ve ovulated or not this month, the Unknown is the worst.

Dogsinsocks · 14/04/2020 20:38

@Lolliloo1234 it's just so hard isn't it ☹️ I'm so happy for my bestie as we have grown up together and it's her first but I can't help but feel jealous when she hasnt been actively trying. I've offered to drive her to her appointment's and stuff but it's just so difficult sitting outside and waiting 😭

rosie990 · 14/04/2020 20:39

@wineandrun I am with you but because I didnt try first time I am struggling with obsessing this time.

Is it bad to be scared it wont work when you are already blessed with a child.

Xx

Lolliloo1234 · 14/04/2020 20:47

@Suki2020 yeah I’m going to test on Friday which will be two days before AF so hopefully an FRER will show it up if I am. It could be just putting on weight rapidly, when I was pregnant many moons ago I had terrible palpitations and my boobs hurt which I don’t have either of now so I’m dubious!

@Dogsinsocks what an amazing friend you are to put her before yourself and drive her to appointments. You should be really proud of yourself that you’re doing that for her. She’s very lucky.

Thank you! I didn't even think about asking, it was just natural lol. She doesn't drive and I didn't want her taking the bus, especially so since everything has been going on lately. Been checking in with her too to make sure she's been keeping well and eating the right things. I feel like her mum 🤣

Imisssleep2018 · 14/04/2020 21:07

Hello ladies... can I join please? First month of trying to concieve, have an 18 month old already.

I hate hate hate this tww! Approx 6 dpo.... had awful cramps today..... already obsessed with poas and of course getting BFN's!

I think it's harder this time as working from home and have more time to think about it!

Dimosaur · 14/04/2020 21:48

Is it just me feeling nervous about being pregnant again?
Nervous about the state of the world.
Nervous about telling my job (if it happens quickly) as ive only been there a few months 🙈
Same job, different department.
Nervous about going through it all again.
But... I also really want another baby!

Wineandrun · 14/04/2020 22:27

@Dimosaur totally with you there, I’m terrified about telling work when the time comes! I think they see me as someone who has done with having a family and they will be very shocked 😂 also I completely admit that I hated being pregnant both yikes, I loved the fact I was carrying a child but actually being pregnant is hard! The thought of having morning sickness again 🤢

Hi @Imisssleep2018 :)

mrsmummy111 · 14/04/2020 22:33

@Lolliloo1234 They definitely sound like symptoms to me!!!! I think I ovulated only one day after you and I feel absolutely zero difference, none whatsoever. So I'm 99999.9% sure I'm not pregnant. Kinda already accepted that I'm not as in my head I've got this stupid idea that I know what it feels like (in reality it was 2 years ago and I have no idea what it really felt like!), but anything in the boob area is definitely something to watch out for.
I have had a sore lower back - is that a symptom anyone 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Lolliloo1234 · 14/04/2020 22:46

@mrsmummy111 that is a symptom, as you can imagine I have done extensive research in this area lol and it is.

The ttw starts now! Eeeeek!

Lolliloo1234 · 15/04/2020 09:26

So I caved and did an FRER this morning - massive BFN and really stark white so I think I’m out this month. At least I can relax and wait for AF on Monday now as I’m out of tests.

OP posts:
Dimosaur · 15/04/2020 09:38

@lolliloo1234 there's still time if af isn't til Monday. How many dpo now?

I'm not very good at tagging people on this app, hello 'I miss sleep' , I also have an 18 month old and on first month ttc!

Lolliloo1234 · 15/04/2020 09:48

@Dimosaur I’m 8dpo but I have a short luteal phase of 11/12 days max so with an FRER in first mornings urine it probably would’ve shown up. I woke up this morning just with a feeling that it’s not my month. I think the heat and boobs is from over indulging! Diet starts today 😂😂😂!!
I think I’m going to just wait for a possible missed period next month and not buy any more tests. Each cycle I learn something new about myself and the process which is really good.

OP posts:
Suki2020 · 15/04/2020 09:51

@lolliloo1234 there is still time for a positive if your period is not due until Monday. I have everything crossed for you hun.
I have no idea where I am this month my temp is all over the place. It went really low this morning. Does anyone have any idea what’s going on with my temp readings? Don’t know if I’ve even ovulated or not, my CM suggests I did but but my temp readings stayed high last month where as this month they are so up and down. Please help it’s driving me crazy

3dpo and looking for TTC friends
Lolliloo1234 · 15/04/2020 09:58

@Suki2020 when I went to my fertility acupuncture appointment the woman told me not to go on temps as they’re notoriously unreliable, she said even nurses don’t use them and trust your CM instead. I had a look at Zita West’s website and they say the same. So if you’ve had the right consistency of CM I’d say you’re alright!

Suki2020 · 15/04/2020 10:14

@lolliloo1234 did you find fertility acupuncture any good? If so do you mind if I ask how much it cost?

Lolliloo1234 · 15/04/2020 10:20

@Suki2020 I swear by it - I never used to get CM and my periods were all over the shop. Within one session I got loads of CM and my cycle regulated. Tbh it’s amazing for my wellbeing even if you park the fertility side of things. I’m really feeling it the fact I can’t go at the moment. I recommended my lady to my friend with PCOS and it’s really helped ease her symptoms.

An hour costs £50 but my lady will go over that hour regularly depending on how I’m feeling that week. I go every other week because it’s not cost effective for me to go every week.

Suki2020 · 15/04/2020 10:29

@lolliloo1234 oh ok, that’s sound like a good thing to try then. How did you hear about her or know who to contact?

Lolliloo1234 · 15/04/2020 10:34

@Suki2020 I just googled fertility acupuncture in my area and she was the highest rated and the closest to my house. I would say find someone who is a fertility specialist and my lady is also a registered counsellor. Her demeanour and the way she speaks to me, asks questions etc whilst doing the acupuncture all adds to me feeling so much better. Chinese medicine needs for you to go right back to childhood because they believe that everything contributes to your current state of health and something that happened years ago could be a reason adding to issues or difficulties now. You deffo have to be invested in the process but i really do recommend it.

Suki2020 · 15/04/2020 10:38

@lolliloo1234 ok thank you. x

mrsmummy111 · 15/04/2020 11:03

@Lolliloo1234 That sounds fab. Can I ask where (approx) in the country you live as I'm going to look into it and don't mind travelling a bit if someone's recommended. For reference, I live in SE London / Kent, so no need to tell me if it's nowhere near 🤣

Also girls I'm thinking next month I may just try to DTD every other day between day 10-20. So theoretically, DTD on day 10/12/14/16/18/20. I have fairly regular cycles (always between 28-30 days, but surely I will ovulate at some point between those days and that feels like it would take the pressure off trying to determine exactly when I ovulate? What do you all think?

Wineandrun · 15/04/2020 11:05

@rosie990 I don’t think it’s bad at all. As someone who hates being an only child it was as important to me that I had my second as my first, although not everyone will agree and some are extremely happy/ grateful with one child. Every child is a miracle!

Wineandrun · 15/04/2020 11:08

@mrsmummy111 I agree with your DTD plan, as long as you are having sex regularly I don’t think there’s much else you can do, like you say you have to ovulate sometime in that period and if sperm can live for 5 days then if you’re going to get pregnant then you’re going to get pregnant! I think taking the pressure off yourself is so worth it, being stressed isn’t going to help you be in the mood for sex or help your body conceive xx
