3dpo and looking for TTC friends

Hi,

I’m 29 and on cycle 2 of TTC. I’m 3dpo and now in my two week wait. I have no friends with children or anyone who is TTC so looking for online buddies to ride this out with!

Anybody in the same boat as me who wants to chat and be a little neurotic together?

Xx

@@wineandrun I completely agree I have family who are due soon after years of trying and ivf. Every child is a blessing and because of that I would love to give my son the joy of a sibling 🥰

Lolliloo1234 · 15/04/2020 11:36

@mrsmummy111 I live in West Sussex. I have family in SE London/Kent (I grew up there) and it takes us about an hour to get to them in the car. Would that be too far?
Tbh the lady I use is amazing - she’s still giving me virtual consolations during the lockdown for free with distance healing and acupressure guidance. Genuinely nice person.

Hey @Lolliloo1234 you might not be out yet! 8dpo is still early and average implantation day is 9dpo. Having a short luteal phase doesnt mean you will implant any earlier so you won't get a bfp earlier than people with normal luteal phase lengths. Looking around a lot of people get bfns up until 11/12 dpo so hang in there!

I'm trying not to test until Friday now... (11dpo for me). Not really getting any symptoms but from what I have read symptom spotting doesnt really mean anything so... heres hoping!

Fingers crossed for both of us! x

mrsmummy111 · 15/04/2020 15:33

Totally agree with @HopeWish - you are 10000% not out yet @Lolliloo1234 there's a reason lots of people don't know that they're pregnant until they miss their period. Obviously some people are lucky and get BPFs early, but I see a hell of a lot of threads of people actively TTC and getting BFN's right up until day 12/13/14 etc. You've got a good few days to go yet. Try and keep yourself busy and take your mind off it ❤️

Also no 1hr is doable for me. I have very good friends who live in Horsham and it's a v.easy drive. If you wouldn't mind PMing her details to me or post them on here I'd be really grateful. Thank you!

Lolliloo1234 · 15/04/2020 15:43

Haha @mrsmummy111 I love how you knew I lived in Horsham from my post not even mentioning where exactly I live!!! Do you live in the Bromley/Orpington area? Her name is Pia Gronroos at New Street Clinic xx

@Lolliloo1234 haha!!! That was genuinely a coincidence as that's one of the only places I know pretty well in West Sussex. I know allll about "say no to Crawsham!" 🤣🤣 Depending on how old you are, you probably know of a very good friend of mine from Horsham (or at least her friends) as it's not a very big place.

Yep, I'm in Bromley. How did you guess?!

Lolliloo1234 · 15/04/2020 16:28

@mrsmummy111 I grew up there - I went to school in Orpington for primary school and Bromley High for secondary and I lived there until I was 24. Hence I know all around Orpington and Bromley. I’m 29 and Horsham is a very small place so I may know your friend or her friends! What a small world!

Hi ladies can I join? Currently either 4 or 6dpo (messed up my bbt reading) cycle 7 of ttc number 2!
I had a chemical cycle before last and drove myself mad last month feeling sure I was pg again but turns out my nausea was probably covid :(
Trying to be more chilled this month, but that's what I say every month lol

mrsmummy111 · 15/04/2020 16:50

@Lolliloo1234 I also went to Bromley High!!!! A few years older than you though, I'm 32 now but I almost guarantee we would know who each other is. What a funny little small world 😊

Lolliloo1234 · 15/04/2020 17:00

@mrsmummy111 OMG!!! We may know who each other is. If you’re comfortable revealing who you are then feel free, I don’t have social media so don’t feel pressured to do so. What a small world. Life has a funny cyclical way of doing things. Hence why I believe your way of relaxing your texting cycle and DTD every day will work, the universe has funny ways of creating positive situations.
If you do go to Pia for acupuncture once this is all over, please make sure you stop in for a cup of tea!

@Sammyclaire22 Hi! You’re amongst friends here! We are all navigating our way through this together. I’m so sorry that you have been through it! You have friends here. Vent away....

@Lolliloo1234 definitely! I'll PM you 😊

Sammyclaire22 · 15/04/2020 21:29

Ahh thanks @Lolliloo1234!
Nothing to vent about yet.. Not sure why I get so hopeful each month as I expected it to take a while.
For what it's worth I've been loosely doing the smep plan- means your dtd over your fertile window and try to aim a few more times regularly over ovulation but it doesn't matter if you miss it as there should be plenty of swimmers waiting there from the days before. Fits in with the advice of my app too so can't harm!

mrsmummy111 · 16/04/2020 09:08

Morning girls, how are you all feeling today? I had more insane dreams last night and I'm sleeping so poorly. Baby woke at 7am today but I woke up twice in the night for ages then I've been up since 6 tossing snd turning. Very annoying.

@Lolliloo1234 I've been trying to work out how on Earth to PM you but it seems you can only do it from the desktop site - but I can't remember my pw! So I'll try and sort it out.

Wineandrun · 16/04/2020 09:36

Morning @mrsmummy111 and everyone. I’m ok, feel like I’m coming down with something, I’m completely exhausted and lethargic. Could really do without getting CV right now 😂 also having crazy dreams, anyone else who’s been pregnant ever had the weird sex dreams😳?! Not had them yet but hoping I don’t get them again, I couldn’t look my husband in the eye afterwards 🤣

Suki2020 · 16/04/2020 09:48

Morning everyone,
I’m good, had a little cramping on my left side last night, not had that before and I’m now on 9DPO. I had a drop in temp yesterday as well.

mrsmummy111 · 16/04/2020 09:54

@Wineandrun YES I DID!!! Not until my second trimester though. First trimester I could barely stand to let DH touch me, then second trimester I was like a horny teenager it was outrageous. Then back to normal by third trimester haha 🤣🤣

Could be coming down with something...but could equally be a symptom

Morning @Suki2020 - oh wow that's very exciting!!! When do you plan on testing!

Suki2020 · 16/04/2020 10:20

@mrsmummy111 my cycle is quite long about 35days so I have another 8days until my period is due so I will probably wait until then as I have no other symptoms.

mrsmummy111 · 16/04/2020 10:44

@Suki2020 Good shout. I promised myself I wouldn't test unless I really really felt different or AF was a few days late. My cycle is between 28-30 days anyway so hard to pinpoint exactly. Fingers and toes crossed!!

Dimosaur · 16/04/2020 11:00

Morning....
No symptoms (not expected so early on) but CM is like gluey egg white (tmi)... That's a good sign isn't it?!

GoHardGoHome · 16/04/2020 12:09

Can I join pls?!

First cycle, 37 yrs old, already have a five year old. It's taken an awfully long time for me to consider having another but it's suddenly hit me and now I'm desperate to be pregnant.

I used ovulation strips this month, have never used them before but got a dark line on 13th and 14th, no idea when I actually ovulated but I could be 2 or 3 DPO?

I usually have loads of CM on the lead up to ovulation and then right through until period but it seems to have completely dried up which is strange. Not sure what to make of this?!

Trying desperately not to read into every little twinge and I keep checking my nipples, do they look darker etc? Hmm Grin

Suki2020 · 16/04/2020 13:05

Hi @GoHardGoHome I know what you mean about when you decide to try for a baby, you just want one. I see so many women that are pregnant for just had babies. Dunno if I just notice it more now. Do you just use ovulation strips and CM to see when your ovulating or do you take your temperature as well?

GoHardGoHome · 16/04/2020 13:46

Hello! Yes just used the ovulation strips, no temperature taking. I always notice the CM as there is quite a lot of it, sorry TMI, but this month have noticed a real decrease which is odd?

I also can't believe we're doing this as I've been pretty adamant that I only wanted one! But I've just done a complete 180 and really want to go for it. Fingers crossed it happens for everyone
