3dpo and looking for TTC friends

Hi,

I’m 29 and on cycle 2 of TTC. I’m 3dpo and now in my two week wait. I have no friends with children or anyone who is TTC so looking for online buddies to ride this out with!

Anybody in the same boat as me who wants to chat and be a little neurotic together?

Xx

@mrsmummy1111 YAY CONGRATULATIONS! 🎉🎉🎉 I’m pleased to hear baby is okay, must’ve been horrid to have a scare like that. Are you finding out the sex or are you keeping it a surprise?

After the miscarriage I had to take some time to take stock and look after myself for a bit. We had some tests done at the beginning of Summer which were really worrying hence going to IVF so quickly.

I’m only 6 weeks - I am not feeling amazing, food aversions and nausea has kicked in already. I had two embryos put back so we find out soon whether we are having twins or not! Or even scarier...triplets! I worked very hard before our IVF cycle to prepare my body and my mind which I think has helped. I don’t remember the last time I had a drink or a take away 😫 it’s worth it in the end though. Xxxx

@Bobblehatwobble No not finding out the sex. Although so far I'm convinced it's a boy but don't want to get my hopes up (I would love a brother for DS 🙈) and a baby is a blessing so of course realistically I don't care what it is. As long as it's healthy that's all that matters.

If you don't mind sharing, what did the tests say? Of course if you want to keep it private then you don't need to give an explanation, I'm just always curious about other peoples journeys. At the end of the day, you're pregnant and that's the important thing. I'm over the moon for you.

I always said I'd have loved twins first! People thought I was mad 🤣 but it's an inbuilt best friend for life. I couldn't handle it now, not with a 17 month old toddler running me ragged but what an exciting prospect. Have you had any scans yet or waiting for the first one? We had an early one at 7 weeks just to know that everything was ok and it was the best decision.

Thanks for getting back in touch, truly great to hear from you and in such positive circumstances xx

Hi ladies lovely to hear how you’re all getting on! I’m now 25 weeks and the size of a house 😂 don’t know what we’re having. Congratulations to you all!

Sammyclaire22 · 14/10/2020 16:08

Ahh lovely news @bobblehatwobble! Really hope things go more plain sailing for you now.

Glad things are OK after the scan, it's so stressful making sure they are ok esp when we have to go alone! (I hope you didnt) @mrsmummy1111

Were at the same point @wineandrun! I'm starting to struggle getting up from the floor now haha
All good my end, almost 26w and still feels surreal! Discharged to midwife led care too so hoping it stays simple compared to my first. FC for another home birth! Having a little girl but not told people in person x

@mrsmummy1111 I had some tests which showed I had the egg reserve of a 42 year old and my fiancé has dodgy/inconsistent motility and morphology. We saw so many consultants who basically said that as we want more than one child to not wait and go to IVF immediately. We’re incredibly lucky that we are able to afford to do that and not wait for the NHS so we went for it. Technically, under NHS guidelines we’d be classed as having unexplained infertility but that’s because of their funky guidelines. Like you said though, doesn’t really matter because it’s worked for now. The fear is super real though!

Yes our scan is really soon because with our IVF clinic they scan at 7 weeks. Then I have scans every couple of weeks for quite a while because IVF babies are higher risk for heart defects and preterm birth. So we will find out how many there are during this scan. I also have blood tests every week at the moment to make sure everything is progressing well so it’s not exactly a normal pregnancy experience! Xxx

@Sammyclaire22 @mrsmummy1111 @Wineandrun

Name changed but Bobblehatwobble here.

As I’m now nearing the end of my pregnancy you guys must have had your babies! I’d love an update as you all were such a help/support during the TTC rollercoaster! Xxx

Wineandrun · 12/05/2021 10:33

Hello! Yes I now have a beautiful 14 week old daughter, she is an absolute legend! She’s a very easy baby, sleeps, eats, laughs and generally is just a joy to be around. Her older siblings adore her

MrsM2021 · 12/05/2021 13:07

@Wineandrun CONGRATULATIONS 🎉
Wonderful news 🥰

Sammyclaire22 · 14/05/2021 12:32

Ahh hey! Yep all good here, she's coming up to 4 months now. Had another home birth which I was so relieved about, even though it snowed and was touch and go for a little bit if we would be able to get people to us.
Had a few issues along the way, tongue tie revised at 4do, and then she developed allergies and silent reflux so I'm now dairy and legume free. Now hitting the 4 month sleep regression and she's waking every hour at night! But otherwise its been amazing. My eldest has been so good with her and patient with me being less available. I feel a lot more relaxed this time round, probably because we've not been able to go or do anything haha.

How has your pregnancy been? X

MrsM2021 · 14/05/2021 18:19

@Sammyclaire22 oh bless her - what a little trooper having to deal with all of that! I’m so so pleased for you and wonderful to hear that your eldest is doing well with a little sister around!

Oh my pregnancy has been horrendous! I can laugh about it now but I had HG then bleeds/ectropion then passing out and now her abdomen has stopped growing so I think they’ll have her out early! Kind of relieved to be honest as I’ve had about enough...I’m ready for the next bit so only a couple more weeks to go now! Very excited about having a little girl and I’m busying myself washing all of the completely impractical pink outfits we’ve got!

So so lovely to hear your updates 💕💕

Sammyclaire22 · 18/05/2021 19:12

@mrsm2021 that sounds eventful to say the least! Had had ectropion bleeding with my first and it's such a worry each time.
And HG sounds horrendous. I was lucky just to have nausea but know ladies who had the full whack and its so serious too. No wonder you are keen to get to the next bit! Not sure if you would be interested by my doula has some free podcasts out recently, she taught me so much and they cover a huge range of topics

I'd forgotten some of the newborn stuff even though its only been a couple if years, how they won't go down in their crib and will only sleep on you (we're loving out of that phase now at least) and how amazing they smell 😀

Oh says we are done with kids now so I've started selling their bits, it's so hard! I'm. Keeping my favourites with the excuse I want to make them blankets and I've started buying more bits for them both from vinted to cheer myself up haha. If I sell stuff on there it doesn't count right?

Quite sad that that whole phase of ttc is probably over. Its awful at the time, but I will miss the hope and the excitement part of it.
Hope everyone has had a good start to the week so far x
