3dpo and looking for TTC friends

Hi,

I’m 29 and on cycle 2 of TTC. I’m 3dpo and now in my two week wait. I have no friends with children or anyone who is TTC so looking for online buddies to ride this out with!

Anybody in the same boat as me who wants to chat and be a little neurotic together?

Xx

Oh wow @Lolliloo1234 !!!!!! Very emotional times.
I think the best thing you can do is rest and let your body do what it needs to do. A faint second line means something is DEFINITELY happening, and trust me when I say your body can do some very very weird things when going through pregnancy. I had bleeding with my DS randomly as did a lot of other people I know.

Don't lose hope, the best thing you can do right now is stay positive. Regardless of what happens, I doubt AF will show up as normal on Sunday. For now.....if there's a faint line you're pregnant so look after yourself and try to not panic. Sending lots of hugs

Sammyclaire22 · 15/05/2020 22:05

So I really really wasn't going to test early, but I was in a funk about it all and caved and did a cheapie to shut my brain up. I thought I could see a faint shadow so did a frer (as you do, or at least I do as I clearly have no willpower) and a faint line came up in about 30s. Not getting my hopes up too much but my oh can see it so im not imagining it! Just hoping it came up too quickly to be an evap 🤞

mrsmummy111 · 16/05/2020 07:10

OMG @Sammyclaire22 !!!!!! Incredible news. Positive vibes, if it came up on both it's deffo a line and not an evap GrinGrinGrin

Sammyclaire22 · 16/05/2020 07:45

Tested again this morning and it's slightly darker... still in shock tbh! Not getting my hopes up too much yet incase it's another chemical as I'm only 10dpo today, then have to hope it's in the right place 🤞🤞

mrsmummy111 · 16/05/2020 07:58

No DONT think like that @Sammyclaire22 there's absolutely no reason to assume it's chemical! You've had a baby already, your body knows what it's doing. Absolutely over the moon for you! I'm out this month as tested yesterday (8DPO) which I know seems mega early but with my last pg I was having strong symptoms by this point so I'm pretty sure I'd know by now.

But you've given me hope. I'm sitting here cuddling DS and reminding myself why I'm putting myself through it all again. Fingers crossed it happens for us soo.n too!

What cycle was this for you? X

mrsmummy111 · 16/05/2020 08:03

How's everything this morning @Lolliloo1234

I'm going to have to start a new thread of my own at this rate!!! (So so so thrilled for you girls though, positive vibes only!!!)

Sammyclaire22 · 16/05/2020 08:07

You can't compare cycles @mrsmummy111 your implantation might be 5 days apart! I wouldn't have seen anything at 8dpo, and even today at 10dpo it's very very faint. Last time by 10dpo I had loads of symptoms too but so far all I've had is extra small cramps and slight hayfever symptoms. Cervix is low, no cm the last few days no metallic taste or anything like with my dd!
I'm only worried as I had a chemical a few cycles ago, but just to conceive and implant is a massive hurdle so I'm celebrating the small steps

Sammyclaire22 · 16/05/2020 08:10

I think this was cycle 9- I loose track as they arnt the full month. This could still.be your month, keep positive x

Have you had any more bleeding @Lolliloo1234? X

Wineandrun · 16/05/2020 08:29

I’ve tested this morning and didn’t see anything until after 10 mins when there is a hint of a shadow so assuming evap. It’s a Tesco test though and I think they’re a bit crap, I need to get something better. Think I’m only 9DPO, possibly 10. My boobs have been hurting since 5DPO but no other symptoms, but then with my other pregnancies I didn’t get any symptoms except sore boobs until I was about 5-6 weeks.

I’m feeling properly miserable today, lockdown is getting on top of me, the kids haven’t stopped fighting all morning, work is stressful, I sneaked downstairs early for a cup of tea and 5 mins peace with the news and within minutes my 4 year old was throwing an almighty tantrum because I wouldn’t put sodding milkshake on, i just want to know if this is my month or not, I want my mum!!!! Sorry, needed that outpour 😂

@Sammyclaire22 I’m so happy for you, it’s lovely to hear positive news.

@mrsmummy111 I agree, don’t count yourself out until AF turns up, you never know!!!

@Lolliloo1234 any news this morning? Sending love xx

mrsmummy111 · 16/05/2020 08:36

Morning @Wineandrun

Yes - I'm feeling exactly the same. Just deflated and really meh at the moment. DS has 12 month jabs on Monday and we've had a really tough few months with him (he suffers terribly from constipation and is on medication for it which seems to be getting less and less effective) and it's made him grumpy beyond BELIEF. More so the last week. Yesterday morning I just called my mum crying and she came over and sat in the garden and gave me a virtual hug. Honestly just having her sitting there opposite me (as frowned upon as it may be!) made so much difference. Sometimes you just need a mum hug!

Do you have an FRER anywhere that you could take? A faint line to me is still a line!

Wineandrun · 16/05/2020 08:41

No sadly I don’t, just one more shitty Tesco one! I was going to be so good and wait until the day my period was due this month 😂 my mum is 300 miles away, I’ll have to settle for FaceTime hugs today ☹️

Lolliloo1234 · 16/05/2020 08:52

@mrsmummy111 @Wineandrun @Sammyclaire22

THAT IS AMAZING NEWS SAMMY - I’m sure that line will get stronger. How amazing - so so happy for you.

Still bleeding. Not in a good way and all my symptoms have disappeared. Doctor is going to do a smear test and swabs on Monday but they think I have PID which would make any possible pregnancy pretty much unviable. So MrsMummy no making your own thread - I think this journey got a hella lot longer for me than expected. Remember, we’re not out until AF turns up!

mrsmummy111 · 16/05/2020 09:00

Yep same @Wineandrun !!!! I said no testing until AF is due OR if I got sore boobs (which I've had once in my life pretty much, and that's when I was pg with DS). But obviously I'm an idiot and tested on 8DPO and was half allowing myself to think I may have got a line. Obviously don't though 🤣

Oh goodness me @Lolliloo1234 it's been a real rollercoaster for you this month. If you do have PID does it mean you can't get pregnant whilst you still have symptoms?! If not - you absolutely still have a chance. And this could absolutely still happen for you. Sadly it's just a case of time - this TTC thing is really rough sometimes. Luckily we're all in it together!

MrsLA88 · 16/05/2020 09:10

Can I jump into this thread? I'm TTC baby number 1 for 18 months almost loosing my mind now! Had 1 chemical pregnancy in October last year currently 7 dpo and praying this is the month. My cycles are clockwork so 7 more days until I can test had loads of CM this morning, has anyone else had this after ovulation?

Sammyclaire22 · 16/05/2020 09:32

Big hugs @Lolliloo1234 I hope you can get some answers.
Just remember that it's never impossible- on paper we are highly unlikely as my husband has a variocele (1/3 of men are totally impotent with it and it usually affects fertility somehow) and I've only got the one tube and at high risks of another ectopic. But my dd proved it can happen against the odds and it's why ive tried to stay positive and why I'm always so thrilled to just get a line even if it doesn't end up the right outcome.
Are there any threads on PID where you can get some advice and positive stories? I found the ectopic ones helpful x

Welcome @mrsla88- my cm seems to change every month after ovulation, some months really watery others sticky or non existant. I still check but tbh I don't think mine is a reliable sign as this month I've had almost none the last few days and it's supposed to be the opposite lol

Lolliloo1234 · 16/05/2020 23:00

Still bleeding. I’m so concerned this is ectopic, I’m 12dpo and this line does not look strong enough coupled with this really odd bleeding (it’s not usual consistency/colour etc).
Should I wait for the doctors on Monday or do you think it’s a hospital trip to check what’s going on?

Are you in any pain @Lolliloo1234? I think it would be unusual to be ectopic without pain. However, given that you are bleeding I would maybe pop up to a and e, they may tell you just to ride it out but at least it may put your mind at rest if you speak to someone. I think your line looks strong though! Congratulations 😊

BFN on a FRER for me this morning, AF due Thursday (Although could come a day or so before, my cycle varies), not sure if I’m testing too early or not. Feeling quite crampy but my boobs are nearly back to normal.

mrsmummy111 · 17/05/2020 07:38

Oh @Lolliloo1234 !!! It's a line. It's an absolutely unquestionable line. However - as @Wineandrun says, you've been bleeding consistently for a good few days so if it was me I'd be taking myself straight to A&E / urgent care and see what they think / can do. More for your own piece of mind than anything else.

What I will reiterate though is that I bled in my pregnancy, it's common and it happens. Doesn't make it any less scary but also definitely doesn't invalidate your pregnancy. Really really am rooting for you and hope you know we're all thinking of you and hope it all works out. Keep us updated xx

mrsmummy111 · 17/05/2020 07:38

Peace of mind 🤦🏻‍♀️ (doh)

Lolliloo1234 · 17/05/2020 08:55

I’m in A&E after speaking to the doctor at 6am. They think I might be miscarrying and are investigating the possibility of PID/ectopic. Just got to wait out some blood and urine results. I’ve got an IV in ready for antibiotics so hopefully they’ll come back soon.
Thank you for your support ladies, I really appreciate it. This is super shit. Xxxx

@lolliloo1234 try not to worry- firstly you are pregnant and big congrats. Secondly your line looks fine for 12dpo, I imagine mine tomorrow will be about the same as its much fainter yesterday but matches what went on with my dd. Thirdly not all odd bleeding means ectopic. Plus I think ectopics can take longer to show hcg- not 100% on that though.

Def get in contact with your gp but right now you have plenty of time. They won't scan until 6 weeks usually as until then they can't usually identify anything. Keep an eye on the bleeding (maybe record it, take photos etc) and on your tests to see if there is still progression. Implantation and early pregnancy can do all sorts of things to your hormones and ectopics are rare. And worst worst case I'm proof that ectopics are survivable and that you can still have a family with one tube. Im sure your gp and midwife will advise you but any pain go straight to A&E. Doesn't have to be single sided or for you to have bleeding but a rupture (the thing they worry about as it's dangerous for mum) is unlikely before 6 weeks as it's all too small before then X

Sammyclaire22 · 17/05/2020 09:08

Ahh sorry I just read your msg! I'm glad they are checking you out, hopefully you will get some answers. We are all here for you xx

Sammyclaire22 · 17/05/2020 09:12

Sorry about your bfn @Wineandrun, it never gets any easier to see it. It might still be too early- even frer don't promise 100% at 11dpo and implantation might be later. Try to keep busy for the next few days although that's easier said than done I know x

ncer2020 · 17/05/2020 09:16

Oh @Lolliloo1234. Super super shit.

It won't help right now, but you don't need me to tell you that there's plenty of women out there that have bled early on and went on to have healthy happy babies.

But for now, you're well within your rights to be petrified and feel like utter shite. But yes we are all here and rooting for you. Fingers crossed you can some answers 🤞🏼

mrsmummy111 · 17/05/2020 09:20

Just echoing what everyone else has already said @Lolliloo1234 and reminding you that you're not on your own. We might only be on the other side of an anonymous Internet forum, but we're rooting for you and that little bean!
