I’m very new to mumsnet and in my first month of trying to conceive.
All the info out there is really overwhelming and just wanted to start a thread for the people in the same boat.

Just had a look for that deal but could only get 2 for £7, ordered 2 packs of 2 and then a pack of clear blue digi as well in prep for the weekend 🤞☺️ fingers crossed for 7 dark liners

Welcome @Hogrider @Talb93 ❤️ lots of love and baby dust to you both! This thread seems to be a lucky one! 🤞 If you're struggling to catch ovulation I'd highly recommend adding bbt tracking to the mix. Really helps, especially if your cycles are long or irregular.

Morning @katbaby 😊 I hope that's a good sign for you! What dpo are you again? I'm day 9 today and I woke up feeling super super anxious. My temp had dipped a bit again, so I'm hoping it's not tracking down to gear up for AF 😥 i have attached my chart - can anyone relate? feel like someone is sitting on my chest today and I don't know why.

Hi @MrsEmilyB I don't know, haven't started to track as haven't had a period since my withdrawal from the pill in December so its anyones guess

I don't understand the temp charting as never looked into it but I'm just sending lots of baby dust your way as it seems to be a lucky thread x

@katbaby - thank you 💕 I'd highly recommend temp tracking as a way to get to know you're cycle! I use Natural Cycles but apps like Femometer are free x

@MrsEmilyB I think if I'm unsuccessful this time round I'll wait for af to show up and then start tracking. Quite glad I haven't tracked so far though as it would have just added more stress to a 100+ day cycle!!
When are you testing?

@katbaby - make sure you get an accurate bbt thermometer 👍 well, I'm 9dpo. I've got a FRER test but it'll be more accurate the longer I can wait. I'm going to try and hold out until Saturday or Sunday morning, as AF is due Monday.

I've just done some pilates to try and calm this awful anxiety I have today 😩

@MrsEmilyB yeah I'm testing saturday or Sunday too! Fingers crossed for dark lines for both of us!! I think we are on the same page as I also did some pilates this morning 🤣🤣 although during this lockdown I have quite enjoyed pilates as a daily routine!

@MrsEmilyB Thanks for the kind words! Have just ordered a BBT online and will start tracking whenever it comes. Thanks for the suggestion.

@Katbaby Maybe one for you too? Our never ending cycles are impossible to read so I'm willing to try anything. Next week I'll be armed with ovulation strips and BBT thermometer - watch out world!

Hahaa @Hogrider and we are supposed to have fun having sex as well?? My husband has already accused me of just telling him to have sex with me rather than seducing him🤣🤣🤣

@Katbaby I just drag my husband into the bedroom 😂 He is blissfully unaware of ovulation tests, BBT and FRPR. Keeping my fingers crossed for you for this weekend's testing.

Hi all, sorry I've been a bit quiet for a few days. Just feeling a bit frustrated and impatient :(. As a summary I'm now around 11 DPO and I had a 24 hour bleed around 5/6 DPO, then the faintest squinter (not convinced at all) on a CB at 8/9DPO, then I had a lot of brown CM yesterday (9/10DPO) since then I have had 2 possible lines on FRER but I cant even pick them up on camera and they are more shadows than lines though my husband can see them too which is something I guess. The latest of these was this morning but still nothing i would feel comfortable calling a BFP at all. I'm now around 11DPO (poss 10) and feeling pretty down to be honest, which I know is stupid. AF due on Monday. Sorry not really asking a question just wanted to offload I guess 🙁 hope everyone else is doing okay xx

@NJ2910 please off load anytime it's such a frustrating time. Everything that you are saying sounds so positive though. Please just keep the faith and relax for the next couple of days. Let your body do what it needs to do.

Morning /afternoon girls!
So I've got mixed feelings today was all set to cave in and test this morning, and then what should I find? Blood on toilet paper--Tmi but it's properly red and I'm cramping lightly as well. And now nothing! No blood since 9 o'clock not even a spot. Is AF taunting me or could there still be a glimmer of hope? I know it's unlikely.

Dropped off my grandparents shopping today as they are isolated and they gave us a bottle of red to say thanks. Don't know whether to break and have a drink 😕😕

I also live for the offloading right now @NJ2910! Don't want to constantly go on about it with hubby so please spill anything you need to say on here!

Sorry you're feeling down @NJ2910 it's so easy to get disheartened. What you've described does sound really positive though. I had spotting at 9/10DPO then tested negative at 11dpo, thought it was game over until AF was late. Do you have any other symptoms like sore boobs or gassy?
It's so hard to take your mind off it, especially when there's nothing else to do at the moment. Try to take your mind off it this weekend and do some fun things if you can. If it's not your time this cycle you will more likely than not conceive soon xx

@Natt99 in terms of other symptoms I have been very bloated and gassy haha, lower backache (I normally get back pain top right but it has all been lower), light headedness particularly in the evenings, some twinges and cramps and headaches but the one thing that really hasn't changed is my boobs and everyone seems to get sore boobs in early pregnancy from what I've seen so that makes me wonder if I am out. I would rather just know now - can commiserate with some prosecco this weekend if so haha! X

Feeling very overwhelmed today!
First month of TTC - finally figured out what that means! So many acronyms I have no idea what half of it means!
I'm 28 and I have been on the pill since I was 15, had a short break 4 years ago for the injection and I had that for a year and it messed my body up so went back to the pill.

Supposed to be a score of 5 today according to Ovia, took a Clear blue ovulation test and it says nothing? Is that right? Saying my 10 day is Monday.

I feel like there is so much to learn and I need people to talk to about it as we haven't told any friends or family? I don't want to seem stupid, should it be coming naturally to me?

@NJ2910 you never know, they could all be signs but unfortunately they're so similar to PMS aren't they 😔 yes the only thing I had different this month was the sore boobs, feels like deep heat has been sprayed on them, so weird! Please do you keep us updated over this weekend xx
@Katbaby that is a difficult one about the wine. If you do drink and get BFP then would you feel really guilty/worried or just go with the flow, if the first then probably not worth it. I'll admit I did have some white wine spritzers 😂 over the weekend as thought I was out. I do feel slightly regretful but figure there's nothing I can do about it now so no point in worrying. Also loads of people who fall unexpectedly drink until they know so it's probably ok. Personal choice I guess x

I had a break from the thread for a few days, being at the beginning of cycle 2 got me feeling very down but on CD 8 now so plodding along with the opk tests and doing bbt this month to make sure I don’t miss my ovulation.

I'm new here I'm 29 (husband is 31) and this is our first month ever ttc for baby #1. Congrats on the BFPs. I'm currently 9/10 dpo. I have been having the exact same symptoms as I could a week before AF is due but I will have to wait and see. Symptoms I'm experiencing are mild cramps, tender sore boobs, bloating and being extremely thirsty. AF due on Wednesday 22nd. I never realised how worrying this would be, and the thought of not knowing is making me want to test 24/7

@Natt99 I know, I think if no more blood shows between now and Sunday I'll test, and if I get a bfn then I'll have my wine Sunday night 👍👍 seems like a fair deal haha. I havent had a drink since last Friday which was before any spotting started and I was thinking it was pms so I was commiserating then as well hha.
