New to mumsnet, TTC cycle 1 club

Hi there,
I’m very new to mumsnet and in my first month of trying to conceive.
All the info out there is really overwhelming and just wanted to start a thread for the people in the same boat.

@mrsgtobe97 - sending a big virtual hug. I've heard false positives are rare, could it have been a chemical pregnancy? Xx

@MrsEmilyB the first day of bleeding felt like a normal flow until I realised that actually I hadnt had to wear a tampon or pad all day and although it felt like a lot when I wiped each time (sorry tmi!!), I have never had a period where I didnt need to wear something. BFN this morning though so who knows but only 8/9 DPO so hope yet maybe?! Crampy ovulation pains sound promising - I know some people get twinges when they're implanting so could possible be that? Who knew that two weeks could feel so long haha! Keeping my fingers crossed for you😊

@NJ2910 @MrsEmilyB thank you both 🥰 we aren't trying again until after my August period due to our wedding being February, but at the moment there is a lot worse things that could happen. It will happen for us all and when it does it will be so good 😊 I think maybe it was an early chemical, if so then nothing I can do about it. Was only our first try 😊 xx

@NJ2910 - fingers are firmly crossed for yoy that it was an implantation bleed! I've never had spotting, so I'll look out for that over the coming days as you're a couple of days ahead of me!

@mrsgtobe97 - that sounds really sensible. And what a lovely attitude ❤️❤️❤️ I want to believe it'll happen for all of us and will be beautiful when it does!

@mrsgtobe97 such a lovely positive outlook to have. Need to try and remember that for myself too! It will happen when it is meant to be, it’s all out fist tries no need to get too disheartened

Hi hope I'm not too late to join the thread.
I'm currently technically in my first cycle of ttc but my withdrawal bleed from the pill finished Christmas day! So I'm currently cd 116. Until last week I've had no sign of any changes, as if my periods had up and left and had no intention of returning

Anyways - on Thursday /Friday started with what I thought were super pms symptoms,horrible cramps bloating and migraine like headache. Saturday had some dark red /brown spotting, Sunday a bit of pink spotting.. And now nothing! Feeling a bit crampy but nothing major, nipples are a little sensitive and a bit bloated.

Could I have finally ovulated and that have been implantation?? Scared I'm over thinking it and I'm desperate to test but terrified of result xx

Hey guys, so I have some news!! The other day I began to spot so though AF was on her way, however, AF is now a day late so did a test this morning.... think it's a positive!!! Now going to store up my wee again to do another 😂 do you guys agree? X

Thank you @serialplanner I've got a FRER so will try that shortly. My husbands gone to work so will have to wait all day for him to get back if it is truly positive 😩

Perfectly happy for you guys to tell me I'm crazy and I'm still only 9/10 DPO so shouldn't be testing haha, but can you see anything here? I feel like I can see the faintest line but honestly I've been squinting so hard I might be hallucinating 😛

@Katbaby - bless you. I know it's frightening, I'm frigging terrified! But the only way you'll know is if you test. Coming off the pill can cause an irregular cycle, so the symptoms could be AF and hormones flying about, or baby symptoms.

I posted about my pinchy ovulation type cramps yesterday at 7dpo - this morning (8dpo) my CM is "tinted" when I wipe, like a very pale pinky brown (sorry, TMI). Could this be an implantation bleed?! I NEVER get cramps or spot between periods, and my cycle is regular!

I can see a line on yours too @NJ2910 how crazy if 3 of us from this thread end up pregnant the first month of trying!
@MrsEmilyB that could definitely be implantation bleeding. Mine was on 9/10DPO and it was the same as I get before AF starts, brown mixed with white discharge, sorry TMI. Then it was gone after those 2 days. Period is 1 day late today

@MrsEmilyB I know it's crazy I mean I have no idea if I even have ovulated yet but I would hope so now spotting has started. Still nothing this morning so I plan to test Saturday or Sunday.. Gonna feel like a long few days especially whilst off work due to this virus! Got nothing else to think about.. On plus side husband is off work too so plenty of time to BD!! when are you going to test again?

@Katbaby - ahh plenty of time to BD! ❤️ We are both still at work and busier then ever haha. But both at home which is nice.

AF is due Monday, so I'd like to think I can wait until then. In reality I'll probably do a FRER Sunday because I have no willpower haha!

Hi @Katbaby welcome to the thread 👋 so difficult to know what's happening when you come off contraception isn't it - I sympathise! As MrsEmilyB says, the only way to know will be to test but maybe keep an open mind as you could literally just have implanted so could take a few days to show 🤞

Thanks @Gsr14 yes due date is coming up as 22/12 😂 oops! It's early days yet so will call the doctors in a week or so I think, totally clueless about what to do next!
