Hi there,
I’m very new to mumsnet and in my first month of trying to conceive.
All the info out there is really overwhelming and just wanted to start a thread for the people in the same boat.

@BelleDell I’m going to test on Monday as I’ll be 12 dpo and fingers crossed you can see a result, I’m not 100% sure when af is due because usually it would be May 9th (29 day cycle) but I think I ovulated early this month so who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️
So yes going to test on Monday and then Go from there, would like to say if I get a bfn on Monday then I will just wait for af but know already that I’ll probably be testing up until it comes!

@Nutella0305 thank you so your message, it made me feel much better reading it when I woke up this morning. You are totally right about getting our bodies into a routine that will do something really incredible when the time is right 😊

In regards to exercise I have been doing yoga (specifically for fertility) every day and going for a long walk. Before lockdown I was going to the gym but since being at home haven’t really done anything else, I did read all the confusing stuff about exercise but I just think you’ve got to do what feels right for you.

Hey ladies! How are you doing today?

I've been really wondering about the exercise lately. When we were first put into lockdown I bumped up the miles pretty heavily, and then my period was over a week late. I think I threw off my cycle so much, so for my TWW I've been slowing it down a bit but Im getting a little stir crazy.

I'm thinking I might test first thing tomorrow??! I'll be 12ish DPO. My cervix still feels pretty high but I've been getting some cramping that feels like what I get the week before AF so I'm not sure how to feel about it. If its negative I'm going to buy a nice bottle of wine and have a really long run. Is 12DPO a reasonable day to test?

@Vee89 Crossing my fingers for your test tomorrow! I am sure I can feel AF coming on, but I’ve made peace with it. Don’t think I’ll need to test on Monday/Tuesday at this rate - I’ve been feeling v emotional and crampy, so I think it’s on its way v soon xx

Hi guys! I'm still waiting on AF to turn up too, 12 days late according to Flo! Does anyone's Cm dry up after ov? Mine hasn't stopped and still "wet" feeling and mild cramps sometimes that makes me run to the toilet and check 😂 I hate this!!!

@jules5232 good luck with testing tomorrow, a few of the ladies who got positives last month on this thread got their bfps on day 12 so go for it! But also don’t get too disappointed until af actually comes because implantation can be on day 12 so would come up negative if you were late implanting! Fingers crossed for you!

@mrsgtobe97 and @jessmcg I hate that feeling when you know you are coming on af but it hasn’t started yet, last month I had 5 days of knowing I was coming on and it was hell waiting for it! Try to stay positive though!

@mrsgtobe97 @Gsr14 So know how you ladies are feeling right now! I’ve actually gone to bed two nights in a row with bad cramps and I woke up this morning with weird stabbing pains in my boobs! It’s been like this for a few days now. It’s so annoying. Wish it’d just hurry up and get here so I can move on and try again this month! Xx

@jessmcg it's so infuriating isn't it! I'm still waiting, woke up at 5am doubled over in pain with shooting pain up my bum 🙈 and sore bottom of my belly. Fell back asleep, woke up and pain is gone and no AF! 😂 feel like my body is tricking me

Does it? I am not feeling anything yet except impatience to test again and to be certain (also not because I believe I am tokophobic and hence was putting off trying until now). It's really really mixed...
@jessmcg & @mrsgtobe97 I can so understand. Those symptoms and irritation and finally just to know if it's coming or not !

I was planning on testing Monday which will be 12 dpo but having the same fear of testing as last month. I’m trying to weight up what will be more disappointing, a negative test or coming on af 🤷🏼‍♀️

Might rethink and wait until af is due (May 9th) but know who, my emotions are pretty up and down 😂

As far as symptoms go I don’t have any apart from this morning had very mild cramps but that was probably my mind playing tricks on me.

@Nic2908 no, this is the only one I have. No Amazon deliveries yet so can't get FRER. Will get blood work done in a day or two assuming AF doesn't show up.

I gave in and tested this morning, BFN. Today is 10DPO. Going to just test with the cheap sticks each morning until AF comes - as something proactive to do on the journey. At least I'll know what to do if I one day see a line :). Best wishes all / if my BFN changes I'll say xx

Are you going to do FRER/digital later as the days progress?

@Vee89 - I have a very cheap box of 20 which look like the ovulation sticks reviewed well on Amazon. I'll use those until I see a faint line one day. Then I'll be on the the others. Just making it part of my routine now like I do with ovulation sticks - else I just spot every symptom and it's driving me crazy spotting every niggle haha. I'll test again tomorrow, 11DPO.

Due on 9 May so early to test BUT wanted to test when I thought it'd be a no so I'm used to seeing no every day. So out of our control aye. Ladies tell me if/when you all test too? :) best of luck Xxx

@BelleDell It sounds as if you’ve got a good attitude towards it all. I was going to test on Monday but think I’ll try to hold until a little later on in the week if AF still hasn’t arrived. She feels like she’s coming though so may be no reason to test!

No luck for me this morning, though I'm good with it. Since I never quite caught a positive OPK, I don't even know if I ovulated so I didn't expect too much. Maybe next month! ...I have always thought I would love an aquarius kid (i'm a libra) but my husband says that is a crazy thing to think.

Took some more tests (lol) and I swear I can see lines, although the FRER is still negative? The cassette one is 25miu and the stick one is 10miu

@mrsgtobe97 I definitely think I can see a faint line on the one on the far left for sure? My eyesight is terrible so the other two tests aren’t as clear for me, but the first one is there for sure xxx

@jessmcg thanks for having a look :) it's so confusing. I keep thinking I'm not pg because I'd be getting such a non confusing line by now!

@BelleDell I’m exactly the same as you, 10 dpo and due on May 9th. I like your thinking on testing everyday, might steal it and buy the cheap tests!
