Hi there,
I’m very new to mumsnet and in my first month of trying to conceive.
All the info out there is really overwhelming and just wanted to start a thread for the people in the same boat.

So I got this on my OPK this morning! I’m on CD 12 and also having twinges in my left ovary so excited to get this show on the road again!

Feels strange not having many notifications for this thread!
I’ve had my peak, the OPK tests are getting lighter now and temperature has gone up slightly so been baby dancing and now just have the dreaded tww 😩

I’ve been doing some fertility yoga which is really helpful for keep a calm head.

How is it going with you? Have you got a scans booked in yet?

Fingers crossed for you this time @Gsr14 sounds very promising. Booked an early scan for 2nd May so hoping all is ok. Feeling fine apart from burping all the time 😂

I'm still waiting on a positive OPK but been BDing every other day since CD8 (on 17 now). Hoping it happens soon so we can hold out! Last month we ran out of energy by the time I must have ovulated.

Where do you find fertility yoga at??

@jules5232 I had a pretty late ovulation last month so keep testing, it’s coming!! Are you testing 3 times a day?
I found a woman on YouTube and who does sessions for all the stages of your cycles so have been doing to ovulation one the past few days and will now start doing the tww one (luteal phase), search Bettina Rae and she should come up.

@Natt99 so excited for you and your scan! When my time comes I think I’ll definitely go for a private early one just to make sure. Must seem really real now! What does the hubby make of it all?

@Gsr14 yes I'd really recommend it as 12 weeks is so long to wait to make sure everything's ok imo. Also partner can go in which I think isn't allowed with some NHS
He's really excited but trying not to be as we know it's still early days. He keeps getting things for me and tries to prevent me doing heavy gardening and hoovering etc which is totally unnecessary but sweet 😂
Fertility yoga sounds good, I heard stress can stop conception so it may even help with that x

@Natt99 that is so sweet! I suppose you can milk it as much as possible for the next 9 months 😂 I know mine will be the same so can’t wait!

My friend is 35 weeks with twins and just went for a scan but her husband wasn’t allowed in! Think it’s much nicer for you both to go, how many weeks along are you now?

@Gsr14 I know I'll properly take advantage, it can be payment for the birth 😬 it's 5 weeks +2 today so still very early, haven't told anyone yet.
Oh no, that's sad for your friend. Hope he's allowed in for the labour x

We booked our early scan for 14th so will fx be 7 + 4. How far will you be Nat? I'm currently 4+4 and to be quite Frank cant wait to get out of the 12 week funk. Havnt told anyone other that my matron for covid '19 purposes.

@Nic2908 I'll only be 6+4 so hopefully they can detect the heart beat, apparently they can from 5+2 but obviously easier the later you are. You should be fine at 7, exciting! I know, I thought I'd be really chill but actually every little symptom I'm questioning if everything's ok x

I'm so not chill. 🤣 I'm waiting to see if my midwife sends me for an early scan as I'm not able to date myself accurately if not I'll be booking one for when I think I'll be around 8 - 9 weeks

@Gsr14 yep! I've been testing 3 times a day, still the same medium dark line waiting for it to get darker. Hoping this weekend maybe. My cycles have been a little longer since being at home more so I'm assuming it's just delayed again, maybe because I'm more relaxed and exercising more. I'm going to check out that YouTube channel tonight!

Currently 3 days post ovulation and this wait is killing me 😂 @Nic2908 @Natt99 how many days dp did you test? It’s way too early now but want to get a rough goal in mind.

Morning@Gsr14 hope you're well. I tested at 12dpo and it was BFN but it was with one of the cheap tests so probably not as sensitive as the FRER's. I saw so many posts about people getting BFP's at 9 or 10dpo so I was like yeahhhh and then was massively disappointed. As I had the spotting I didn't test again until day after period was missed and then it was still faint on cheap test. So I would say still test at day 10 if you want to but don't worry if you don't see anything.

@Gsr14 hellow lovely. How are you?? I was 11 dpo when I tested on a FRER. Didnt use cheapie ones purely because I didn't have any. I think it was pretty strong for 11dpo. You can do it!!! Sending you lots of sticky implantation thoughts!!

Hi guys, I'm back again.. lol. Had a positive OPK 10/04 and now positive OPK again today and this test, wtf is going on!!

1st month of properly TTC (trying to conceive) baby#1
Started using OPKs since feb, but might have missed in March. I use flo & recently realised that I ovulate CD 17. This month noticed cramps on the day of ovulation (I think)
6dpo today.
What day did you guys test ? Or are planning to test?

@mrsgtobe97 is the test on the left and HCG test? Because if so it looks like you have a positive pregnancy!

@Natt99 @Nic2908 I’ve got an FRER ready in the bathroom and decided I’m going to use it on 12 dpo but if no result will wait for af which should be due on Sat 9th May.

Really really hoping it’s my month but not going to be disheartened as much like last month if it’s not. Now I’ve got this ovulation tracking down I feel like I know what I’m doing and my time will come 😊

@Vee89 I’ll be testing on May 4th! Fingers crossed for both of us
