Hi everyone who read this! My typical cycle is 34-37 days long but everyone I talk to seems to have shorter cycles. I'm looking for others like myself who have long cycles and are ttc :) we are trying for our first baby x

@Newbie0818 I've been taking it for a month and a bit, got about 11 pills left of my second box. I started halfway through my last cycle (cd21 of 43day cycle) so this was my first cycle using from the start (o'd cd18, currently cd29) I genuinely think that they helped regulate everything. I did also do a couple of castor oil packs between af and o, they're supposed to detox your liver and could potentially clear blockages in fallopian tubes etc.

I'm actually so glad to hear other people can see something in those pictures lol.. Really hope they get darker! 🤞

I'm on that thread too and have no idea how it's supposed to work, sorry!

Newbie0818 · 14/05/2020 18:15

@pol96 that’s it, keep positive ☺️🤞🏼✨
Ah let’s hope the Pregnacare helps me out this cycle then! It’s funny because on Amazon a lot of reviews say they lengthened people’s cycles, so maybe for us long cycles girls it’ll have the opposite effect 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Pol96 · 14/05/2020 18:20

@Newbie0818 I know it's so funny! I've seen so many people say to avoid as it lengthened their cycle from 28days to 35ish days.. I was like.. 35 days sounds great! I'll give it a go! It has inositol in which helps to regulate hormones.. Really hope it works for you!🤞
I actually ordered more of them this morning 🙄.. Hoping I don't need them and can get the normal ones though.. Trying to be a reasonable amount or optimistic and pessimistic lol

xoJellyBean · 14/05/2020 18:21

@Pol96 really hope it's a nice dark line tomorrow for you :) what tests are you using?

OP posts:
Pol96 · 14/05/2020 18:23

@xoJellyBean the femometer ones that came with the opks 😂 I do have 2 frers arriving tomorrow though (with my conception supplements lol) but will wait till sat/sun to use those if af hasn't shown up.

Newbie0818 · 14/05/2020 18:51

@pol96 I know ha! And I thought my first 32 day cycle after the pill was bad, little did I know where I’d be today 😑
I’m sure if you’re getting a faint line on those tests your FRER will be a bit darker if not a lot! Really crossing everything for you ✨✨🤞🏼🤞🏼

Pol96 · 14/05/2020 19:12

@Newbie0818 I can't remember what mine were like before the pill, I went on it at 14 (regret it soo much,) especially as getting pregnant is not as easy as they say it is! 32 sounds like a great length to me 😂

I won't use a frer till at least Saturday if af hasn't turned up.. But I have almost 30 cheapies so poas here I come! 😂

Newbie0818 · 14/05/2020 19:31

@pol96 oh me too, I went on at 15 and will never ever go back to it!

Good luck!

Pol96 · 14/05/2020 19:46

Getting a few cramps.. 😞 Hoping it will pass..

xoJellyBean · 14/05/2020 20:07

@Pol96 praying it will pass for you!! :) fingers crossed. Are you thirsty at night by any chance?! Around this tome every evening I am so parched lol

OP posts:
Pol96 · 14/05/2020 20:46

@xoJellyBean thanks, it's stopped again.. I am more thirsty I think.. But I try not to drink to much in the evening so I don't need to get up in the night.. Makes my Temps more consistent x

xoJellyBean · 14/05/2020 20:53

@Pol96 🤞🏻 I had cramps yesterday too! I'm sure you can't wait to test tomorrow morning x

OP posts:
Pol96 · 14/05/2020 21:00

@xoJellyBean I'm terrified and excited! I am so scared when I wake up and do my temp it will have dropped and I'll be out.. Oooh I hope your cramps are baby ones not af ones! 🤞Are you testing tomorrow too?? X

xoJellyBean · 14/05/2020 21:18

@Pol96 we will both be having mad dreams tonight I bet 🙈 I'll be testing every day lol! I'm looking over my clue app so maybe I ovulated later than I thought... so could only be 9dpo but I think my mind is just in over drive. My heart rate dropped so I don't know if I'm lucky x

OP posts:
Pol96 · 14/05/2020 21:24

@xoJellyBean my dream last night was so vivid.. Hoping it's a sign! Don't look too much in to heart rate.. I did a bit of googling and it's not really a massive symptom and normally starts later in pregnancy.. I can't remember do you temp? If you're only 9dpo then you got ages!

xoJellyBean · 14/05/2020 21:43

@Pol96 they do say vivid dreams are a sign! :) I think I'll google about it too, I also read reviews on the one step tests I have and apparently they arent as sensitive as they make out! I don't temp but I think I will next cycle for sure, it seems to give you a better idea of things. I was just going on my CM this month as we haven't been focusing on trying for a wee while x

Hi, sorry to jump into the middle of convo (new to mumsnet) I also have a long cycle 😭 ranging from 42 to 54 days...although last year went 116 days 😭 (pcos) this month has been really strange though as I was down to OV day 32 of my cycle but I had all the signs and OV cramping on day 20 ( which never happens...I'm never under 30 day cycle) so I'm currently 5DPO in the TWW... alot earlier than usual which I should be grateful for but it's making me more nervous and impatient 🙄 will have to wait and see....

Pol96 · 15/05/2020 04:52

Okay ladies.. So I poas again Hmm.. And it was maybe slightly darker than yesterday (only just over 12 hours from when I first started getting anything on a test.. Femometer recognised it as a bfp (but its still soooo feint) so.. I'm very cautiously optimistic.. Hoping for darker (no squinters, can't deny that it's a positive) lines over the weekend..

@xoJellyBean fingers crossed for your test this morning! X

@Johay21 welcome to the thread! We all know how rubbish long cycles are! Good luck with your TWW, the waiting is awful! X

xoJellyBean · 15/05/2020 07:59

@Pol96 amazing!! Really hope it keeps getting darker for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I got another bfn this morning so I think I'm going to stop & just wait for af. Here's to next month :) x

@Johay21 welcome :) keep us posted with how you're doing! I find it really helps to talk to everyone on here x

OP posts:
Pol96 · 15/05/2020 11:22

@xoJellyBean it's stressing me out as its still very faint.. Wondering if I've just got a bad batch tbh. I'm sorry about your bfn, you're not out yet though X

Newbie0818 · 15/05/2020 12:02

@pol96 I have everything crossed for you!

So interestingly I was speaking to my mum this morning and we got onto the topic of periods as she sent me a picture of herself pregnant with me at 5months. She doesn’t know I’m ttc and lives in another country so it’s quite easy to hide anything. But she said she’s always struggled with irregular periods, which I had no idea about! She’s never got a diagnosis of anything despite seeing many regular gynos, but I’m wandering if I maybe have something genetic? She still managed to conceive which is giving me hope as I always worry that I won’t be lucky. It’s so nice to be able to talk to her about it even though I’m keeping everything else secret.

Hope you ladies are all ok x

Newbie0818 · 15/05/2020 12:03

@xoJellyBean sorry about bfn :( hugs x

Pol96 · 15/05/2020 13:01

Thanks @Newbie0818, I'm trying not to get my hopes up as it was only a bit darker but not by much, still incredibly faint.. Haven't really been able to eat a lot in the last 2 days either, don't know if I feel sick because I'm nervous or because I am actually pregnant.. Won't believe it until I see a decent line though

Ooh that is interesting! It's nice that you can talk to her about it without telling her you're ttc, and it gives you hope with is great!

Pol96 · 15/05/2020 13:34

These are today's.. What do you think? There was less than 15 hours between the first one that had a faint second line and these ones..

Long Cycle girls TTC :)
xoJellyBean · 15/05/2020 13:38

@Newbie0818 omg same as me, my mum has pcos and I found out by accident. She had to go in clomid for me and also my sister. She conceived easily with two more, one was a mc and then my other wee sister! Gives me hope too :) I defo think these things are genetic!

@Pol96 those are for sure lines!! Have you got any other brands to test with x
