@LV1987 my record was 9 flashing smilies then it gave me the "it might not happen this month" message on my app. Then got a load of EWCM and tested later that afternoon and got my solid so there's hope for you :)

Thank you @Fredthespider that gives me some reassurance! I'll keep going 😁 If I don't get a surge, do you know whether it will go back to a blank smiley or just stay high until AF? I've been googling and just can't find an answer anywhere... I assume it will, and then I would know roughly when I am due AF from that, but not really sure 🧐

@LV1987 I think it says to stop testing after 9 days of flashing, then once you haven't tested for a couple of days I think it resets itself ready for the next cycle. When you start testing quite early in the cycle your baseline estrogen is so low it doesn't take much of a rise for the flashing to start.

Going back through mine I had -

Cycle 1 - Started testing CD9, Flashing started CD10, Peak CD18 (in the afternoon, morning was flashing)

Cycle 2 - Started testing CD11, Flashing started CD13, Peak CD15

Cycle 3 - I got thrown on this one as I thought AF came 7days after ovulation so my CD are out - Started testing CD11 (but corrected should have been CD4), Flashing started CD17 (corrected to 10), Peak CD25 (corrected to 15)

Cycle 4 - Started testing CD10, Flashing CD11, Peak CD12 (again in the afternoon, flashing in the morning) - I got pregnant this cycle.

I spent a lot of time reading up on the science behind the kits haha

Ooh that would make sense - I started testing on either CD10 or 12. Last month was either 34 or 36 days as I had a couple of days suspect spotting before a HORRENDOUS period (my worst since coming off the pill!) so I wasn't sure when to count as CD1. Flashies started on day 3 of testing and have hung about since.

Either way, I think I might have been a little early on starting from what you have said... Over excited at having a new toy 😂 I'll keep going until a couple of days after I ovulated last month I think, as I still haven't settled into a particularly regular cycle.

Does that sound sensible? Thank you so much for the guidance, I'm so pleased I'm not the only one wrapped up in the science! I have just seen a pic on another thread of someone's strip after a static and mine is starting to look like that so I'm hopeful, but I just can't bear to not understand or be in control (I'm a lawyer 😂)

Hey ladies hope everyone is doing okay? I've woke up really sad today, as if it was the day before af pms kind of but I'm 7dpo. I feel really down I just want to cry but of course I'm not really allowed to be upset in front of my OH because he "can't stand it" but for fuck sake I'm sad. I've woken up feeling so negative and like yeah great I know I'm not pregnant again when is this going to end 😞 this is so shit

@Missgoldilocks this was me yesterday. And today tbh 😂
I knew we hadn't done it again this cycle, just knew it, so thought F it I'll use my last FRER anyway and obvs it was BFN. I felt SO down yesterday. Literally just moped, cried and wanted to sleep all day.
How the fuck can we DTD 4 days straight over my O day and still not get pregnant?! I don't understand it AT ALL and it makes me SO mad!!! Why does my body just keep failing me 😭
Woken up this morning feeling the same, but decided I can't go on like that. So even though I really don't feel like it I've just kept busy all morning with housework etc.
It's so shit but I can't change it 🙁 think I might just accept it soon and be grateful I have one child already. Can't cope with the disappointment anymore xx

@Missgoldilocks sending virtual hugs your way and I know exactly how you are feeling. Had my massive meltdown last cycle I think you need one every now and again otherwise you would go mad I think it's important to get your feelings out as bottling them in is worse. My OH was as sympathetic as yours fine to feel sad but don't make a regular thing was pretty much his response. I did get lots of cuddles and affection after my meltdown though. I think this situation does bring you closer together because if you can get through this the joy a baby will bring will be so much more meaningful when it has been such a struggle to get there. I know that doesn't mean much now but hang in there it will happen ❤️

Think you can definitely be excited now but after been through a mc myself I know I will not let myself get too excited this time if it ever happens for me again so I can understand. 8th day of flashing smiley for me! Don't really feel as though anything is happening, but we squeezed DTD this morning... The kids had a sleepover in the living room so no interruptions 😂

Sorry to see some of you are feeling down, we all are going through things in life it’s hard to remain positive, especially with all that’s going on, lots of hugs! When you’re having a bad day treat yourself to something nice, watch a happy film and try think of all the positive things you have in your life. I’ve had a few down stages since being pregnant, maybe hormonal or the panic etc but what will be will be and I’m just thankful for what I’ve got ❤️ Be happy girls xxx

Btw gender reveal yesterday (will be confirmed Tuesday) it’s a boy! So one of each for me! Quite shocked, and will see so strange having a boy but very happy xxx

@Missgoldilocks @Mumofboys17 sending you both massive hugs!!! If anyone knows how you feel it's us girls... I think I've almost given up on TTC now. No temping OPKs nothing for me anymore - I've just accepted that it's not happening. My body isn't right since having my implant out - my periods are so light and short, I had hardly any fresh red flow this time around. My luteal phase is still only 10-11 days with one cycle of 12 days but I spotted 2 days before that which I never used to. I don't even get period cramps anymore.

@Katie1109 I literally cannot be more happy for you, I truly mean that!! I remember all those months you just wanted to give up. You deserve this and I wish you the happiest healthiest 9 months 💕💕💕 did you start taking different vitamins this month? I remember some of you talking about the wellwoman/man ones? Xx

@Mumofboys17 yep that's exactly it... Yesterday I was saying oh I'm going to keep my mind busy and itll happen when it does but today just shit hit the fan I suppose. I guess I'm sick of it, we all are! Lol but @katie1109 has definitely brought some light! It makes me feel calmer to know that it does happen even after some time!! @Beau20 thank you x my LP is always 10-11 days too (so AF due around tomorrow for me as 10dpo today).. and weird you say about period cramps as I definitely don't get anywhere near as bad cramps as I used to.. wonder if it's relevant? Xx

We’ve been trying 10-11 months x I was taking pregnacare conception and my OH was given wellman conception and we caught first month him being on it x I also used conceive plus lubricant couple of times x we DTD 2 days, day before and the day of ovulation so caught on one of those x
Let’s hope it will stick 🥰🤞 I will of course keep you updated on progress x looks like January 2021 due date 😂
@Sunflower2019 congrats on the boy 🥰

@Mumofboys17 it has to be, surely? My theory is that the lining isn't left long enough to thicken as much as it used to so less to she'd therefore cramps less. I used to get horrendous cramps for the first full day and really really heavy periods that lasted at least 3 days heavy flow. Now I get 1 day light 1 day medium and one day light/spotting. I'm only on month 8/9 of trying but cycle 10 so hopefully by the time lockdown is over I can go back to the GP.

@Missgoldilocks oooohh that sounds like a good shout! Honestly right now I think the best thing you can do is plan as if you aren't going to be pregnant and anything otherwise will be a huge bonus 🤞🏼

@Katie1109 I've just ordered some of the him/her vitamins, the ones you just said. Hopefully I can convince my stubborn OH to take them even though I had said I had given up on TTC ooops 🙈😂
