Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

@Hayleylou89 ah okay, I have just done the order on Amazon! X

Mommybear05 · 10/04/2020 16:34

@Babytinx11 yes so good that he’s getting you a digital test. So much easier. I’d do it in the morning though! Let us know how you get on. I’ll be thinking of you.

More pink spotting today, just there when I wipe (tmi haha) I’m so confused! Period has never started like this before but I don’t know what to expect after mc!

HE88 · 10/04/2020 16:42

@Mommybear05 I had about a week or more of spotting before my first period after MC it started of pink then went to brown. However, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that it's not a sign of af coming 🤞😊 x

Mommybear05 · 10/04/2020 16:47

@HE88 I’d take it on the chin if it is af I think, I just would like to know what’s going on. It’s never done this before.

HE88 · 10/04/2020 16:52

@Mommybear05 I know it must be really annoying if you have never had it before unfortunately for me I got spotting all the time before af. Could just be your body adjusting after everything that's happened. X

Babytinx11 · 10/04/2020 17:18

Sending huge hugs @Mommybear05 hope things settle soon for you.

So hubby couldn’t find a single test when he went out lots of opk’s but no tests I did a bit more searching online and ordered some that will arrive tomorrow so re test Sunday morning still got the one coming in a week too so will find out either way eventually xx

Hayleylou89 · 10/04/2020 19:02

Feeling back in the game and little more optimistic ... we managed to dtd today with no problems 🥰 Proud of the hubby for putting up with me and managing to do it so much. If it doesn't happen this month for us im 100% going to be less regimental next month x

Babytinx11 · 10/04/2020 19:28

Glad you are feeling better today @Hayleylou89 😊

We haven’t been regimented at all trying this time apart from knowing when af is due mostly because of hubby’s job it’s pretty much impossible to be regimented

Hayleylou89 · 10/04/2020 19:39

@Babytinx11 honestly as much as u probably want it to be its probably a blessing in disguise that u cant be, Next cycle if im not lucky i will be taking a step back now i know that i get ovualtion pains a few days before and my cm goes all
Slippy (sorry tmi) but id never noticed and also now i know not to start testing silly amount of days before predicted ovulation and just start a couple of days before. That way pressure on the hubby wont be too much ( i wont even tell him anything next cycle) but hopefully we caught the little easter egg 🐣

Babytinx11 · 10/04/2020 19:45

I would like to be more on the ball but it is what it is it’s less stressful apart from the testing part than trying for my son or daughters testing is the only thing me and hubby have argued about xx

Niisa · 10/04/2020 20:52

Hi ladies!

Just joining this thread. Apologies in advance for the long post but here’s a little background:

Went for my 12 week scan on 19th March. I was told that fetus was measuring at 7 weeks and there was no heartbeat. Of course we were devastated but we chose to allow nature to take her course. On the 27th I had my miscarriage - won’t go into too much detail but it was over after a few days and I’ve been spotting on and off. I have taken a few pg tests and they are still positive. The weeks indicator says 1-2 weeks.

I’ve been using clearblue and boots brand OPKs: the boots have always shown -ve although they’ve been getting darker (haven’t been testing the last 2 days). The clearblue has given a smiley face on Sunday, Tuesday & Wednesday - it gave me a negative on Monday. We’ve been DTD just because on Monday, Wednesday & last night.

Today is CD15 based on the first day of miscarriage. Not even sure if my cycle is back but would loveeeee to be pregnant. I’ve booked a scan for Wednesday to ensure everything has been removed as I wanna rule out any reasons as to why the pg test is still +ve.

Hoping it’s just my hcg levels not fully at zero but Ive been able to catch lol! Will keep y’all updated xxx

SmileyT · 10/04/2020 21:28

Hi @Niisa sorry for your loss and that you find yourself here. I think all of us ladies understand the frustration of the positive HPT after a MC, I think my Dr said that it should be reviewed if it is +ve after 3 weeks so you're doing the right thing going in next week to check. I had my scan at 9.5wks on the 18th March but baby had stopped growing at 7.2 weeks (2 days after the scan seeing the heartbeat 😕) and it took just over 2 weeks to get a negative test for me.

I think my ovulation came a bit later than normal and the hcg in my system threw my opks off a bit in the first week but everyone will be different. Is it the flashy smiling face the CB is giving you?

Hoping that you get your BFP very soon 💜

Rainbowhope11 · 10/04/2020 22:25

@Niisa Firstly, I'm so sorry that you are going through this, it truly is horrible. I had a similar experience. Went in for my 8 week scan, but was only measuring at 5 weeks. Went in again the following week to see if there had been any growth, but there was none :( I chose to take medication to induce a miscarriage, and then went back after a couple days for an ultrasound that confirmed that I had passed everything. I have been doing weekly blood tests to monitor Hcg levels. It's been 18 days since my actual miscarriage and I'm still getting faint positives on hpt's. Doctor says that my levels are dropping appropriately, so I think it just takes some time for some of us! DH and I have been DTD every other day because we also can't wait to just be pregnant again! Hang in there, it's so annoying to still be getting positive hpts but I'm sure it will be over soon and we will have our rainbow babies very soon😊

Babytinx11 · 10/04/2020 22:41

So sorry @Niisa it’s really frustrating getting positive tests after a miscarriage I really hope all is good at your scan next week and you get a bfp with a sticky baby bean very soon xx

Hayleylou89 · 10/04/2020 22:52

@Rainbowhope11 @Niisa so sorry u find urselves in this thread but rest assured everyone so supportive and lovely.. u will get ur bfp soo im
Sure 🌈 xx

Rainbowdust31 · 11/04/2020 00:05

Hello everyone! Firstly, I am so sorry for everyone here who has been through a miscarriage. I am looking for a bit of support, and hope that I can join this thread.
I miscarried last month at 5 weeks, and although it broke my heart I am not giving up and I am ready and determined to conceive.
I am currently 10dpo and had some tiny brownish CM yesterday and reddish today (so sorry for tmi) plus cramping. AF due in 3-4 days and tested negative this morning. Spotting for me is very unusual especially before AF so could it be implantation? I am so confused and scared to even test again. I started developing symptoms the past few days too so my heart wants to get excited but my brain is like "no! don't". The wait is even harder than last time and I feel like I am going crazy.

Rainbowhope11 · 11/04/2020 04:57

@Hayleylou89 thank you so much! All of you ladies are so supportive and wonderful, i've been feeling a lot better after joining this thread 😊

Mommybear05 · 11/04/2020 07:33

@Nissa hello and thank you for sharing your story. That sounds so heartbreaking what you have been through. Big hugs. It’s so upsetting that so many of us have these stories to tell but we can find support in one another. Yes it’s so good you have another appointment with the doctor and can check that the mc is complete. And you want to try again so soon? Me too. I didn’t want to wait and am also first cycle post mc. Good luck xx

Mommybear05 · 11/04/2020 07:36

@Hayleylou89 yay so glad you guys managed to have a good time 😉 and so positive u could do it during your peak! My fingers are crossed for your Easter egg (love this by the way) lets feel positive this Easter- a time for new life! Let’s all hope 🌈

I know what u mean about being more relaxed about things though! Those cheapie opks just stressed me out when like you I had other signs in my body (slippy 😳) x

Mommybear05 · 11/04/2020 07:46

@Rainbowdust31 hi and sorry you find yourself here. Your story is very similar to mine! I also miscarried at nine weeks (although measuring five) last month. No idea how many days post ovulation as all opks came negative. They went darker but never positive. Like you I’ve had spotting too. Cd 25 bright red one drop and cd 28 a very light pink colour only visible when I wipe. Last night hubby and I dtd and usually if af is about to start that hurries things along but this morning nothing! I think it’s probably just hormones settling down after the mc. Af apparently due today according to app but that’s four weeks after mc and I know it can take longer to settle.

You tested already? If you are pg then it would take a while to show up. I’d wait longer if af doesn’t show. I know it’s hard! We could be test buddies? Haha.
I suppose the good news for both of us is that the symptoms tick all the right boxes for implantation bleeding but the bad news is after a mc your hormones can be all over the place and could also cause these symptoms. Let’s just pray af stays away for both of us? When u testing again? Hubby and I don’t want to test yet as we don’t want to find out about a pregnancy super early, especially after what we’ve been through. Have you ever seen Michael McIntyre? ‘Let’s just see if a baby grows in you!’ But we won’t be that bad haha. Will be waiting for at least a few more days to just see what happens.
Keep us updated , fingers crossed?
Ps do you have any children already? Xx

Hayleylou89 · 11/04/2020 07:57

busby85 · 11/04/2020 08:00

Hi All, hope its OK to jump onto this thread. I suffered a mc at 5 weeks on Wednesday so still going through the emotions, i have an appointment on Weds at my local EPU which is reassuring. Its all so confusing, hubbie and I want to TTC again as soon as possible (sorry if that sounds emotionless - we only found out a couple of days before) can I ask how does it work? I have googled lots (never helpful) how long do you normally bleed for? Tmi i know but i am still passing clots and it is just like a heavy period, as I was so early on I dont think I expected there to be quite so much. Once the bleed finishes can anyone advise what happens to my cycle - we had literally only started trying when we fell pregnant and it has been such a whirlwind - now we have tasted it we want it even more. Sorry this reads like my head currently - all over the place, I hope it makes sense x

VP91x · 11/04/2020 08:02

@Hayleylou89 hopefully this TWW goes super quick for you. You will be counting the hours 😂
