TTC after miscarriage - April 2020

Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

@Mommybear05 got everything crossed for you af stays away hun tandem breastfeeding sounds like a challenge and a half though I worry about the idea of breastfeeding one

@Babytinx11 @SmileyT than you such kind words. Will see with the tandem breastfeeding. My latest idea is trying the ‘don’t offer don’t refuse’ approach with my son. So sometimes now my husband is putting him to bed and he’s fine with it. Although last night he really cried and hubby called me back so I fed ds to sleep again. He’s definitely asking less. Hubby reckons he will self wean anyway by the time another baby comes along. What I’ve learnt @Babytinx11 is to go with the flow with the whole breastfeeding thing. Everyone has a different journey. It’s got its benefits and limitations like everything else. I love the bond I feel when I feed my son. and also it’s easier because we never sterilised bottles in the night. And it’s cheaper too! But then again it can be painful at first, and then you are the one baby needs to it’s harder to catch a break. You have to think carefully about the clothes you wear to give easy access in the early days and everything so it can really have a big impact on your life. That said once I got into the swing of things it’s been very special for me personally. But the hardest part has been how it has messed about with my body. My fertility especially. It’s such a personal choice. I found that there’s plenty of support out there though so don’t worry. I’m sure you will get your rainbow and will be supported to choose what you want to do and what is best for you. I had some more pink spotting last night. So that’s cd 25 and again on cd 28 with the spotting. I’ve never had this before where my period starts and stops. I’m so confused. Maybe I’m just about to come on? It’s now four weeks since the miscarriage bleed and they did say 4/6 weeks. But I don’t understand why it starts and stops. Clearly hormones all over the place!

Is it ok to post a pic in here I have taken the test again and I am pretty sure the line is visible in the pic too now just about but I want to be a bit more sure before I show hubby 🙈 xxx

@VP91x I just dont know if we will have caught it this cycle iv def put too much pressure on him .. we only "successfully" dtd in the week leading up to peak and on the first day of my peak (weds night) and since has been a struggle so im not very hopeful for the 2ww... according to Natural cycles i ovulate today so should we also try today and still have a chance or could i have already ovulated yesterday? im so useless at this 🙈 x

Have only done it successfully once during my peak so far but loads before because i didnt think id get my peak 🙈

I am sure I can see the cross there darker than the other day but still faint but I feel like I might be going mad 🙈

@Hayleylou89 you never know with these things. Sometimes you just get pregnant with one time! Keep positive!! I have no idea when I will ovulate now 🙄 normally I ovulate really early just from past experience but that smiley is still flashing at me. Going to just keep testing in the morning and see. My app said I was due to ovulate yesterday so we DTD. Xx

@VP91x dont give up .. i was about to crack up as my ovulation date kept on moving on a day then another day on my app! It will come soon x I know i need to stop stressing itll be doing me no good but i just wish we had dtd to the max and know weve done absolutely everything we can 🙏 xx It only takes one little sperm so fingers crossed🤞🏻 xx

@Hayleylou89 it only takes once! Remember the sperm can live inside for days as well.

The more I look at the picture the less I see it too it’s driving me crazy I think I will have to wait and maybe test again next week if af still isn’t here xx

@Hayleylou89 no definitely won't give up. I am feeling positive about it and going to trust that my body has got this.

@Babytinx11 I can't tell too much, I hate those line ones I always go digital! Definitely get yourself one xx

I will do I have only ever used the pink dye ones before and even faint you can’t tell with them this one is going to send me loopy xx

@Hayleylou89 wow you've DTD a lot 🤣👌 dont stress babe honestly think you're pretty much covered ! Sperm can live up to 5 days so if you've DTD loads before you got your peak like the few days before then the swimmers likely there waiting for the egg which is perfect 👌 if you can DTD once more today it may put your mind at ease but dont stress
I got my peak today 😁 CD12 so guess that seems on track to ovulate around CD14 ish for my 28 day cycle. Just happy to see some results that make sense after my tracking last month straight after MC was all over the place. Xx

I know i shouldn't worry as when i got pregnant first time in sept we had only just said we wanted to start trying after our honeymoon so i wasn't really tracking anything just temping and going off natural cycles app for predicted ovulation and it happened and we only dtd 3 days before predicted ovulation and then day before thats it and it worked then 🙏 tmi but cm is super slippy today though so will try and get one last go with the hubby but itll be tonight now as hes working on the loft today 🙄 xx

So I showed hubby he looked in our dark bedroom without even turning the light on said it’s negative and he won’t by any more tests just gotta wait for af 😭

My app is saying to do ovulation tests every 4 hours... has any one done this once theyve got their peak? Before when I've got my peak I just dont test any more. Is there any point to carry on testing ? To see when the level goes down I guess? Or maybe the app reminder hasnt taken into account I've actually found my peak and its saying do it every 4 hours to try find your peak ? Xx

Hey @Renna did ur cb say peak ... congrats if so ..is it just ur app asking u to test again?

I think its fine once uv got ur peak as the cb wont let u test again once u get ur peak however i did have the old style monitor aswell as the connected so i was able to test again and iv had peak for 3 days now not sure what that means...i am due to ovulate today, but iv got no cheapies left to compare if the lines have faded... suppose if i did id be testing just to see how it works and then i suppose if it fades thats when u know uv ovualted xx

@Hayleylou89 can’t you pester him for a quickie haha. We’ve been doing home improvements too and sometimes by the time we finish we’re not in the mood. So when ds takes his morning nap that’s our time haha x

@Renna yay to peak, feel like you've caught us all up again 🙌🏾 and it gives me hope that you've gone back into your 28day cycle as mine was like clockwork before and it'd be great if returns. You've now got something to keep you entertained through the bank holiday weekend aswell 😉

@Babytinx11 I can't see the line but pictures aren't always the best, have you got the femometer app as you can take pics of tests and then invert/contrast them so even the faintest line can be seen. How many days post ovulation are you?

@Hayleylou89 looks like from your graph you have it pretty well covered and only had Thursday off. I felt the same as you we only missed 4 days this month and 2 of them were a couple days before my CB peak, so kinda feel like I didn't do everything I can. But DP keeps reminding me we weren't TTC before and probably only DTD a couple of times in fertile period last time and it only takes one so to have faith. You caught so quickly last time that has to be a good sign of your egg/ sperm comparability 😊
