Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

@Rainbowhope11 sorry for your loss and that you find yourself needing this board but hopefully loads of support here so you don't feel so lonely. My Dr told me that the reason they want you to wait is to date the pregnancy so there isn't any more upset at scans if baby measures smaller than expected but no way could I wait. I had SMM on 19th March and we DTD every day apart from 4 from when bleeding stopped, covering all bases - definitely will be slapping on the preseed all of next cycle 🤣

@Babytinx11 I'd wait at least a couple days and then take another test of the same brand, if the line is darker at least you know where you stand. Fingers crossed it's good news 💜

@Hayleylou89 we're due AF on the same day then hoping it doesn't come for either of us. Also I'd try and make DTD as fun as possible, initiate at different times/ get a bit dressed up... I think it's all about making sure he knows you want him not just his swimmers 😂

@VP91x how many flashy smileys is that now? Really hoping you get your peak tonight and can enjoy your bank holiday weekend more DTD with purpose.

@Renna yeah I got the preseed with applicators but will probably buy the other one and alternate, nothing else to DPs money on right now, he has bought a shed and a BBQ in the last week so he can stretch to some lube 😂

@Charliec12 thanks so much for your positive words and wishing you the best with your September 🌈

@Mommybear05 my DP (not quite hubby although I'm working on that 😛) is very accommodating bless him, anything that makes me feel better he'll go with, even though he surely thinks I'm mental. Because we weren't TTC and using the teenage method of withdrawal on my fertile week from Fitbit, he is convinced that it won't be that hard to conceive again. If we are still doing this a year down the line he might get sick of me reading him statistics everyday though 🤦🏾‍♀️

@Quail15 yes to a static smiley, DP was on 12hr night shifts when I got my static, but just try and get a quickie in at some point over the next 48hrs although you may have done enough already x

Okay ladies, does anyone take BBT?

I'm panicked now as my temp dropped this morning even though I thought I ovulated on Monday following peak on cheapie opks and CB connected. Does this mean that my body tried to ovulate but I didn't and that is why my body temp has dropped or is there a chance I'm just incompetent at measuring as it seems to fluctuate loads. Do others do under the armpit measurements or elsewhere?

Any help would be appreciated

@SmileyT day 6 of flashing smiley. I am going to do another one of the test strips I managed to get from Boots in the afternoon and then maybe a CB tonight see what they say. If not then, tomorrow hopefully.

No use around BBT as I have never done it before 😔 xx

Quail15 · 09/04/2020 10:49

@SmileyT I gave up with tracking my temp as I sometimes sleep with my mouth open which would throw off my readings. Your dip could just be a random reading.

Renna · 09/04/2020 11:15

@SmileyT I wouldnt look too much into that BBT xx I've tried charting this Month and my readings all over the place. I do under the tongue .. x but I know you have to try do it same time every morning before you move much or eve talk .. so I reckon it can be quite sensitive.. I'm going to carry on doing it this month see if I see any kind of pattern but right now its just up and down ... 🤣 so think I'm the same as you.. not sure if I'm temping right or not... I dont wake up same time every morning so times are different and I have sometimes said something to my husband before doing It.. normally something like ... turn your bloody alarm off you've snooze it 5 times ... 🤣 ... from research it seems the Dip before ovulation would be minimal like half a degree and most people dont even get it on their chart . Try not to look into it.. if you've DTD since then too you'll be covered any way ? Xx :) attached wacky temp charts ...

@Renna @Quail15 thanks for your input on this I'll try not to overthink it... I have been at home this week 'working' so my wake up time has been different and DP has been doing night shifts so gets into bed at about 7.30am which probably doesn't help get consistent readings at all. Only being about 3weeks post MC I guess it was ambitious to think it would all track perfectly as temp was probably higher than normal when I started anyway. It's mental how I've never thought about any of this before and now I'm bloody obsessed 🤣

@VP91x I'm sure I read on CB if that 25% of people have 5-9 flashy days before peak so definitely not uncommon to have this many days even if it is really frustrating, you'll get there x

VP91x · 09/04/2020 12:27

@SmileyT yeah definitely also conscious that my cycle might be a bit longer this month as they have been quite short last couple of months so could also be that.

I'm loving those BBT charts though. More data to look at. Might get one for next month if needed. X

Hayleylou89 · 09/04/2020 15:27

Thanks @renna we have done it alot but were never confident its enough even when it is are we 🙈.. i just wish i could tell when the egg actually pops out haha that would be ideal so we could catch it perfectly

SmileyT .. I know i will try my best to get him under the sheets later ☺️... I tried dressing up yesterday afternoon and we got half way through and his phone wouldnt stop ringing and it put us off 😂 thats when it got delayed until the night and he fell asleep early and we have a little tiff cox he fell asleep 🙈😂... Ill feed him a few gins later hes currently converting the loft into a new bedroom for us so hes always on the go an always shattered early on but tonight i think ill make a nice romantic meal and feed him a gin and see what happens ...wish me luck x

HE88 · 09/04/2020 15:49

Hi all not posted in a few days just wanted to ask as I feel is still don't know the right answer to this question but how do you determine how many dpo you are? I always count it from the day after I get my positive opk but I know that when you get your positive you can ovulate anywhere between 12 and 36 hours of this so I don't know if I'm counting right 🤦‍♀️.

Rainbowhope11 · 09/04/2020 16:12

@Mommybear05 our stories are so similar!! I was also told that perhaps my dates were off, but I had been documenting every little detail in Ovia and I just knew that there was no way that I could be wrong. My poor DH was so hopeful, he convinced himself that the dates were just wrong so you can imagine the heartache at that second follow up scan :( Im hoping we can all conceive really soon! Thanks for your positivity Smile

Rainbowhope11 · 09/04/2020 16:17

@SmileyT haha definitely go wild with the preseed! I see that everyone is saying that we are told to wait so that it's easier to date the pregnancy. That makes me feel better because I didn't know if I was doing something wrong by trying so early. After all the grief I had this last time when I was 100% certain of my dates, I think I'll just chance it not knowing my dates Grin Going to go for it! While everyone is stockpiling toilet paper and canned beans, I'm going to stockpile preseed haha 😂

SmileyT · 09/04/2020 19:36

@Rainbowhope11 I feel you, we wasn't TTC before and it's crazy to think at the end of Feb I got my test result and had my first early scan to see a heartbeat and in the 4 weeks that followed I'd planned out the next two years of my life, before it all being ripped away. I know that falling pregnant won't erase the pain but I'm so sure it's what we want I have to try. If it takes a few weeks to date but baby is healthy I'll be happy 😊 Definitely be using that preseed all through the fertile period next month x

@HE88 you probably won't know exactly when you ovulated so it's just a best guess, if you got a peak on Sunday, assumed you ovulated on Monday on Thursday you'd be 3dpo. Is there a specific reason you are wanting to track days past ovulation?

@Hayleylou89 good luck with the romantic meal and the Gin, with a nice sunny day like this id love someone to have dinner and a cheeky G&T ready for me x

HE88 · 09/04/2020 19:44

Hi @SmileyT I know you never know exactly when you ovulate would be great if we did the joys of being a woman ha ha. There is no specific reason just when people say I'm so many dpo I always wondered if I was counting it correctly. X

SmileyT · 09/04/2020 20:19

@HE88 yes would be great if we knew, we do all the tests and stuff and then we don't even get confirmation an egg is released 🤦🏾‍♀️ and yeah fair enough about wanting to know, I think I ovulated Monday so putting myself as 3dpo, where are you in your cycle? x

Mommybear05 · 09/04/2020 20:51

@SmileyT sorry I’ve not got a clue about the body temperature stuff! Confused

Mommybear05 · 09/04/2020 20:54

Update- the news is there is no news haha. Cd 27 still no sign of af but I had spotting that literally went away instantly after one wipe two days ago. The waiting game is tough but I don’t even know if I ovulated. Opks never went positive
@HE88 yes wouldn’t it be great if we just knew!

Mommybear05 · 09/04/2020 20:56

@Rainbowhope11 yes they sound so similar! My hubby was positive too right up until I started to bleed more heavily Sad
Anyway we have our chance to try again and I’m hopeful it will happen for all of us soon 🌈

Mommybear05 · 09/04/2020 20:58

@Hayleylou89 love that you are feeding your other half to try and get him into bed haha. My husband is very much like this- the way to his heart through his stomach! Just make sure his phone is on silent this time!

Babytinx11 · 09/04/2020 21:18

Trying to catch up after posting last night managed to post in the wrong thread to it’s just not been my day lol I hope everyone is ok I told dh I am testing again in the morning same type as I used yesterday he wasn’t sure it was a good idea but said if it’s not bfp and nothing by Monday he will go
Out and get a digital one. How’s everyone doing today xx

VP91x · 09/04/2020 21:33

@Mommybear05 @Hayleylou89 I had to catch my OH before he started an online Call of Duty game otherwise I definitely would have lost an opportunity tonight 😂😂

@Babytinx11 hopefully it is a BFP!! Got my fingers crossed for you x

Babytinx11 · 09/04/2020 21:38

Thank you feeling a little bit tearful and sick thinking about it tonight. I know the feeling with online games hubby is a streamer so it’s literally his job to play games drives me insane though because he comes to bed at all kinds of weird times 😂 xx

VP91x · 09/04/2020 21:56

@Babytinx11 read or watch something positive and lovely before you go to sleep. Hopefully takes your mind off it until the morning. Oh no! I would hate that, that PS4 causes arguments 😂 xx

Babytinx11 · 09/04/2020 21:59

Going to find a chick flick and some snacks I think 😊 hubby plays xbox pc and switch I have learned to live with it don’t have much choice if I complain he points out if pays for the rent and funds my shopping habit so I am on a loser there 😂xx

HE88 · 09/04/2020 21:59

@SmileyT I'm on cycle day 17 I got my positive opk on cycle day 12 which was Saturday so I would say I'm 4dpo. X
@Mommybear05 it's such a guessing game and I end up overthinking it all. X

SmileyT · 09/04/2020 22:42

@Babytinx11 fingers crossed for tomorrow 🤞 I'd love to have our first BFP in here to give all of us ladies some hope. And on a lighter note at least your hubby won't have an issue with night feeds when your rainbow comes along as he is used to late nights 💜

@HE88 yay another lady in the 2WW think there is a load of us hoping that AF doesn't appear w/c 20th April

@Mommybear05 even though you weren't sure you ovulated I'm hoping that AF stays away and you get a Xmas miracle... you can get on that tandem breastfeeding xxx
