Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

@Skygirl1983 ahh I'm glad you're doing well and even if AF arrives you know that your body has returned to normal cycle which is still a positive.

@Hayleylou89 it's good you now know exactly what your ovulation feels like and what the cheapies look like when you're peaking. I got my CB peak on Sunday (CD18) cheapie peak on Monday (CD19) and thinking I ovulated Monday night. So now 2DPO and expecting AF on 22nd April, my first TWW and after all the tracking I'm like 'what do I do now?' 😂 Just had a cheeky amazon delivery of preseed so might give that a go tonight for fun. Same as you hoping that I won't need all the fertility stuff I've bought for next month but in my head I'm working on TTC until August before I start stressing about anything x

VP91x · 08/04/2020 13:32

@Hayleylou89 yeah I am going to continue with my CB ones. Had to pop to Boots and I managed to get a pack of x5 ovulation strips. So I done one and it looks quite faint so will do another one of those and see if it gets stronger later. Hopefully you won't need any of the fertility bits next month. 😊 X

@francis05 I’m on cd 26 now. No clue what to expect!

Skygirl1983 · 08/04/2020 15:11

@SmileyT I still feel at a bit if a loss when it comes to what to expect. I'm only basing my predicted AF on my usual cycle and what hopefully was my peak and ovulation according to my OPKs. But I dont have my usual pre AF symptoms like sore boobs. And my CM has been strange too so it wouldn't surprise me if my AF is still a good week or so away! I'm a little crampy so I dont know what that means. Other than actually miscarrying, the unknown when it comes to your cycle is quite frustrating!

Sallyjo27 · 08/04/2020 16:01

Hi all, hope you are all okay and coping with lockdown.
Just another little sally update haha. Rang my gp because my anxiety was going through the roof “waiting and seeing” she was lovely, I’m going for bloods tomorrow as she said she didn’t feel comfortable leaving it a week. Test was negative again this morning. Will give you another update as soon as I get the results after tomorrow x

VP91x · 08/04/2020 16:45

@Sallyjo27 that is really good thst she has sent you for bloods. So pleased you will get some more clarity x

SmileyT · 08/04/2020 18:55

@Skygirl1983 I totally feel you... I think I ovulated on Monday and kinda basing things on that but the hospital did say it could be 6 weeks before AF and I've seen others have waited longer so I have no idea what to expect. I'm just trying not to get my hopes up for this first cycle which is made harder when DP is relentlessly positive and is convinced he hit the goal this month already 🤦🏾‍♀️

@Sallyjo27 I'm glad that you had a conversation with a nice GP that has offered something to put your mind at the ease. I genuinely believe it makes all the difference talking to a health professional that takes the time. Hope the bloods give you some answers soon x

SmileyT · 08/04/2020 19:28

Random note... even though fertile window is over, preseed arrived today so gave it a spin and I will definitely be using it next month, hopefully gives me the fertility edge I need 👌🏾

@SmileyT I think I'm about 10/11dpo but now I'm not sure. Coming from being so aware of my cycles before I was pregnant I'm finding it tough with the unknown. I think its extra hard with everything going on with coronavirus and being at home all the time. I have much more time to stress out about it! Hopefully we get some answers soon 🤞

Skygirl1983 · 08/04/2020 19:33

Have fun with the preseed 😉

Skygirl1983 · 08/04/2020 19:34

@Sallyjo27 glad you got an understanding GP. Hope you get some answers soon.

VP91x · 08/04/2020 20:24

@SmileyT how did you get on with it? I have been using it the last few days too!

Renna · 08/04/2020 20:32

@SmileyT 🤣 👌 I've used that before. I now use conceive plus. First time I used conceive plus was the month I got pregnant before MC so deffo think these lubricants give the edge lol xx enjoy !
@skygirl1983 I was the same and knew my cycle so well before MMC , my first few weeks after MMC I had no clue and opks werent helping me but AF arrived 28 days after ERPC , so my cycle length came back and now due to ovulate this weekend so hopefully this first cycle after getting first AF has gone back to normal . It can be Frustrating feeling like you dont know what's going on and it will regulate for you xx just harder with the waiting game isnt it xx
@Hayleylou89 fingers crossed no need for those cheapies 🤞😁 xx

SmileyT · 08/04/2020 21:53

@VP91x I loved the lubricant haven't used it in years but it was also nice to DTD for fun, we only used 1ml as I'm not fertile but all ready for next month. And @Renna just read a load of reviews on conceive plus and now I want to buy that aswell 😂

@Skygirl1983 I'm 'wfh' this week and I agree with the having more time, even though a week feels like a lifetime at the moment just try and enjoy the sun while it's here and take each day as it comes. Really hoping you have gone symptomless but get a surprise BFP

Rainbowhope11 · 08/04/2020 22:51

@Mommybear05 Thanks so much for inviting me into this thread 😊

Hi ladies, I'm so sorry for your losses, this is an utterly shitty feeling. I had MMC, went in for my 8 week scan on the 10 March and measured at only 5 weeks. I went for a follow up scan the next week and nothing changed, and no heartbeat was detected. I decided to take medication to induce a miscarriage on the 23 March, because there was absolutely no sign of a natural miscarriage happening anytime soon. Went in for a follow up scan a few days later and they said that everything had passed so no need for surgery thank goodness. My doctor said that it was safe to resume sex after bleeding stops, which it has, but to wait one cycle to conceive. I'm not sure I want to wait one cycle, as I've had some extremely long cycles in the past and feel like if I wait I may miss out on an opportunity to conceive sooner.

I'm now waiting for HCG levels to drop, which is just dreadful! I have no idea what my body is doing, can't use OPKs because of the HCG that's still in my system. I've been doing weekly blood tests to monitor Hcg levels. I'm tracking CM and basal temp (not very accurate though as I haven't been getting proper sleep).

I just feel like I'm on an emotional roller coaster, not sure what I'm supposed to be doing! Reading through all your posts has been extremely comforting to me, it's really nice to know that I'm not alone in this.

Lots of luck to all of you!

Rainbowhope11 · 08/04/2020 23:03

Hi @SmileyT we were ttc for 4 months, and on the 5th month we used preseed every time and conceived! Not sure if that was just a coincidence but it worked for us and a family member. Had a mmc unfortunately but conceived with preseed nonetheless and planning on using it going forward!

Babytinx11 · 08/04/2020 23:05

Hey guys sorry to hear about all your losses I am ttc after my miscarriage in January feeling very frustrated and confused because I am late no sign of af took a test today nothing to start with then went back to throw it and the was a very faint line dh can see it but says it’s an evap line 😢 do it test again or just wait to see if af pays her visit

Hayleylou89 · 08/04/2020 23:14

@SmileyT i have used preseed too but only use a little bit as i used too much one time and the hubby didnt like it 🙈 but now i just do a little bit and he doesnt notice! We dtd tonight to lets hope thats done the trick will try again tomorrow too im due AF on the 22nd so far according to natural cycles lets hope she doesnt show 🙏

@VP91x yeah test again tomorrow pm and see what its like iv got no cheapies left to see what my peak is like tomorrow but ill know by my temps if iv ovulated or not, app says itll be Friday though x

Rainbowhope11 · 08/04/2020 23:14

Hi @Babytinx11 was it a light colored line or more of a greyish line? I would test again in 2 days or so

Babytinx11 · 08/04/2020 23:22

I thought it had a blue colour like the control line dh said no colour I feel like I am going mad I could see it and so could he but he is adamant it isn’t bfp and I couldn’t get a pic with the line visable because it was so faint. I am starting to think I am getting ahead of myself and have line eyes

Rainbowhope11 · 08/04/2020 23:31

@Babytinx11 oh dear! I've been there before 🙈 maybe try one of those digital ones that say yes/no, that way you don't have to drive yourself crazy looking at lines!

Babytinx11 · 09/04/2020 05:28

I will ask dh to pick one up next time he is out for essentials it’s driving me mad. Thank you for understanding hun

VP91x · 09/04/2020 06:18

That smile is still flashing at me this morning 😫 @Hayleylou89 @Mommybear05

Renna · 09/04/2020 06:20

@SmileyT that's why I bought it because of the good reviews 🤣 and seems to gave worked for us and I'm using it again this week. I use the applicator ones. Essentially think its same thing as pre seed but the one I'm using you can insert higher near cervix kinda thing. Not sure if pre seed comes with those applications ?
@rainbowhope11 sorry for your loss and what you've been through and you're deffo in the right place to vent and question etc as we all know how you're feeling xxx doctors only say wait to start TTC so it's easier to date the pregnancy should you fall straight away. So if you feel ready to start trying again straight away, I did, then there is no harm :) and I have seen people on threads say they got pregnant straight away. The only thing I found difficult with trying straight away was I was unable to track anything like ovulation as I think my hormones took a few weeks to level out so using opks etc didnt find my ovulation but we DTD nearly every other day around the usual fertile window just to see if that worked but my first AF came on CD28 which is my normal cycle . It's so hard because you just want to know what your body is doing . Some people do find their peak ovulation still so if you use opks and dont find it stressful then try using it once your hcg levels have dropped and just DTD around the usual fertile window and you may get lucky :) other wise dont worry too much . I felt exactly same as you and thought time is going ao slow to get to the point where I can try again but it hasnt it's gone quick and even once my first AF arrived I felt like right start a fresh and I can see what my bodies doing now xxx it will happen 😘 and be kind to yourself xxxxx

@babytinx11 xx sorry for your loss xx I mean AF being late is always a good sign especially if she is normally quite regular? Deffo get some more tests, and if you can leave it another day or 2... although that's easier said that done but also gives af another couple days to arrive... if she doesnt then that's just another good sign... did you get a bfp last time as soon as your period was missed ? Xxx

Rainbowhope11 · 09/04/2020 07:15

@Renna Thank you so so much for your lovely, comforting wordsSmile I've been going back and forth trying to decide whether or not we should start trying before first AF, but after reading everyone's posts I think I'm going to give it a try! It can't hurt to try. My Hcg levels were still a bit high, so I guess it's a complete waste of time using clear blue OPk this month. I've been having weekly blood tests to monitor hcg, hoping by next week it's pretty low, fingers crossed! I feel like I'm obsessed with getting pregnant again! It doesn't help that we are all stuck at home and can't even go out to dinner and get our minds off things! Trying to remind myself to be kind to myself, It's just so hard, feel like I'm going absolutely nuts, probably also due to all the hormonal changes. Lots of baby dust to you xx
