Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

Hi ladies how is everyone this morning?
@Re6ecc4 fab that there is no sign of AF, sore boobs was my first sign of pregnancy.

Wondering if anyone can help? I had a positive OT on Friday CD13 and today CD15 I’ve started bleeding- not heavily but enough to need a pad. So frustrating 😩 don’t know what’s going on. It is my first cycle after MMC.

Re6ecc4 · 05/04/2020 09:59

@Mommybear05 yeah men can be like that! And I've got a few tests left yeah. I have to keep reminding myself to wait. I just wish I could be like other women and get early bfps. It's so frustrating having to wait isnt it! I hope you did ovulate!
@Sallyjo27 starting to feel a bit more hopeful as its 3rd.day with no period now.

VP91x · 05/04/2020 10:22

Hi @Sallyjo27

It is likely that your cycle is still settling, mine used to be 28-30 days long and now I am between 24-26 days following mine in December. It is worth continuing to track what happens over the next few days. It might still be some residual bleeding. X

SmileyT · 05/04/2020 10:36

@Sallyjo27 how are you feeling? Surely the bleeding is way too early to be AF but I have read that you can get spotting after the MMC, even after your first AF but not sure what causes it maybe DTD yesterday just aggravated something a bit.

@VP91x I've only just received my CB ovulation kit so no first hand experience of what you do but I was planning on using CB in the morning and then when it was flashy using a cheap OPK in the afternoon (probably when I get in from work for ease) but if you don't have the cheapies then don't see why you couldn't use two CB. Also I asked the same question about DTD a couple weeks ago and somebody told me that as long as there is no concerns about sperm mobility then DTD as much as you want 😊

@Re6ecc4 still got my 🤞for you and symptoms sound promising although it's so hard to know what is AF and what is pregnancy, so frustrating 😩 try and stay positive and when AF doesn't arrive in the next couple days do another test x

Skygirl1983 · 05/04/2020 10:55

Morning all. Hope sunday is a good one for everyone. Yeah my GP advised the Feroglobin as I was feeling rough after my surgery, I bought it from morrisons for £5 for 30 tablet. Its iron, folic acid and B12 all together in one pill. I take it with a glass of orange juice every morning. They have all the right amounts for conception and pregnancy. My doctor said most people in everyday life need more iron in the form of a supplement as modern diets dont have enough. I eat plenty of fruit and veg too so happy that I'm now getting enough without taking pregnacare or similar. Heard a few times that pregnacare can mess with your cycles too but dont know how true that is!

Sallyjo27 · 05/04/2020 11:15

I’m so confused! I’ve just done a pregnancy test and it’s positive. I had a negative after my mmc on at the end of feb and AF around two weeks ago on Mother’s Day? Worrying now about the bleeding, I’m having some cramps now too.

SmileyT · 05/04/2020 11:26

@Sallyjo27 is this with the same brand of hpt? Hope you are okay and not in too much pain, I'm not really sure what this could be but sending you a virtual hug

Skygirl1983 · 05/04/2020 11:35

@Sallyjo27 do you still have the contact number for your Early pregnancy unit? Maybe you could call them for some advice? How bad is your cramping?

Sallyjo27 · 05/04/2020 11:41

@SmileyT @Skygirl1983 yes it’s the same brand, I’ve been using the cheapies. I bought 30 off amazon along with ovulation tests. I do have the number but they’re only open Monday-Friday I will give them a call tomorrow. I have emailed my Tommy’s support midwife as well but know that they only work Monday - Friday too. The cramping isn’t too bad it’s like mild period pain

Sallyjo27 · 05/04/2020 11:42

I should add I’ve got no symptoms of pregnancy at all, my boobs aren’t sore I don’t feel sick etc. Maybe it’s a chemical?

Skygirl1983 · 05/04/2020 11:45

@Sallyjo27 take it easy today. Maybe a hot water bottle and some pain relief, if it's bad definitely call them tomorrow. Even if it's just to ease your mind.

SmileyT · 05/04/2020 11:55

@Sallyjo27 are you thinking that what you thought was AF 2 weeks ago was in fact an IB or something? Look after yourself today and try not to panic, like Skygirl said if the cramping gets worse or bleeding gets heavy definitely contact EPU tomorrow x

Sallyjo27 · 05/04/2020 12:03

@Skygirl1983 thank you, I will x
@SmileyT I honestly don’t know what to think. My period on the 22nd was much longer than usual too, no idea what’s going on. Will be doing another test tomorrow and ringing epu x

HE88 · 05/04/2020 12:35

Hi all thanks for welcoming me to the chat. I had thought perhaps it's my body adjusting again and that's why I got the positive so early although the cycle I fell pregnant I got my positive on cycle day 14 so I'm 2 days early. I'll just continue to bd every other day and see what happens. I'm also taking my vitamin that the midwife had gave me so I'm just continuing to take that as it has what I need in it. @GeminiFiona no need to apologise I had no idea what it was either until I was going through it all, a laparoscopy is keyhole surgery to detect endometriosis. @Mommybear05 when I had went to the fertility clinic to find out what was going on they found a cyst on my right ovary which is also know as an endometrioma because they found this they wanted to check for endometriosis and a laparoscopy is the only way to diagnosis this.

Re6ecc4 · 05/04/2020 14:15

Thanks @SmileyT still feeling nervous. I have had a few little cramps but they're just wind cramps I believe.

VP91x · 05/04/2020 14:18

@SmileyT yeah I think I will start to do two from today because I will likely ovulate in the next few days hopefully so won't run out 😊

Hope you get along well with the CB tests, they are so easy to use x

GeminiFiona · 05/04/2020 14:33

@HE88 thanks for explaining laparoscopy. Feel like that be my next step, some investigation. I was going to talk to my GP after Easter about a referral or at least get on a waiting list for when those services are back up and running Smile

Definitely sympathise with the yearning and desperation to get pregnant again as quick as possible after mc but for some of you, who it's only first cycle after physical recovery, take it easy of yourself. The mental recovery can take a bit longer... but I also understand as a part of the healing and acceptance for me would be getting pregnant again & having healthy baby at the end of it.

HE88 · 05/04/2020 14:40

@GeminiFiona your welcome 😊, have you been trying for long? When I first went to the doctor they did blood tests to check hormone levels and to check I was ovulating both tests came back normal. It was my 2nd visit to the doctor when I got referred. Xx

Re6ecc4 · 05/04/2020 15:05

And I'm out :( I've just started bleeding light pink with cramps

GeminiFiona · 05/04/2020 15:08

@HE88 not that long I guess... my period returned in Dec '19 (after mmc end of Sept). Missed January as I was visiting fam in NZ and messed up my ovulation timings Feb. But thinking it might put my mind at ease to get ball rolling with referral. And I'm 39 in June and feel very anxious about my age! 😬🙄

I paid privately last year to have a "fertility mot", not sure if it was worth the money! Told everything was fine and in range for my age but told to "get on with it" 🙄 (sounded like my mother! 😄) and give it 6 months. And since then I have managed to get pregnant once. And I had some hormone levels blood test last June through GP. Nothing glaring, have regular periods, test positive for ovulation kits. Was told by private clinic though that I had small fybroid but nurses and doc at EPU said not a factor in mc and very common to have.

Sorry I need to learn to shorten my replies!! 😊 it's just good to have a vent!

GeminiFiona · 05/04/2020 15:13

@Re6ecc4 sorry to hear that 🙁 treat yourself to something nice. Take care xxx
Next month! Don't lose hope!

DisneyMummySince2010 · 05/04/2020 15:17

Hi Everyone,

To all the new ladies, I’m so sorry for your losses and understand your pain. Jumping back into TTC is sometimes the easiest way to work through the pain and loss.

@Re6ecc4 I’m sorry AF has arrived today. Your posts sounded so promising this week! Try to stay positive, every period is the start of new cycle, a new hope!

I’m really not sure what’s going on with me. I had EWCM on CD22 so thought ovulation had or was arriving. But yesterday and today, it’s like my ovaries are shouting at me! It feels like pinching, not quite a cramp but just a pinchy ache on my right side.

So hubby and I are still DTD just in case ovulation is late or something!!

Has anyone had this experience with post ovulation aches or pinching?

Renna · 05/04/2020 15:35

Hi everyone xx welcome and sorry to those who have joined since I last posted. X x

I'm CD7 now into my first proper cycle since MMC in early March. My first AF was very light and short but passed some weird very thick tissue. Think it was uterus lining.

We DTD this morning and afterwards I had a little very light pinky tinge straight after when I went to the toilet .. that was all. So thinking DTD aggravated something like a little cut from the surgery I had.

CD 8 tomorrow so hopefully going to start the sperm meets egg method .. 🤣 🤞 and just trying to have fun with DTD rather than being too regimented. Usually ovulate around CD14-16 . Hopefully see a peak OPK this month as my first proper cycle after first AF. 🤞
@Hayleylou89 how you doing hun ? Xxx

Good luck to everyone be easy on yourselves xxx Daffodil

GeminiFiona · 05/04/2020 15:43

@DisneyMummySince2008 sounds like middle pain to me... indicating ovulation imminent or it's happened. For the first 3 cycles after mc I had very strong middle pain on one side, and left a sort of bruised feeling afterwards and during pain had me wanting to take pain killers. I didn't have any middle pain last cycle (4th since). It made me anxious while I was experiencing it but it hindsight maybe a good pain, should things happening!

HE88 · 05/04/2020 15:45

@GeminiFiona there is no harm in asking to be referred if it will put your mind at ease. Hope you get some answers soon enough 😊. Xx
@Re6ecc4 aw I'm sorry that af has came. Xx
