TTC after miscarriage - April 2020

Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

@omnomcalm hi and sorry you find yourself here. It’s positive that you caught early last year :) I did too with my son on the first try. But I hear it’s unusual so keep on trying! Baby dust to you!

Yes I find comfort in online friends for sure. None of my real life friends even knew I was pregnant and I mc at nine weeks. Still haven’t told them. But online we can all share together. It’s definitely helping me get through this :)

@Skygirl1983 yes I hate the 2ww as well. I don’t even know if I’m in the 2ww as OPKs negative but now On cd 21 and they have gone completely faded. Cm is starting to change too and look more luteal phase. But I’ve probably not ovulated so doesn’t really count as 2ww

@Ejb86 yes I see your positive opk. It is so obviously different to mine! Mine are now very pale and faded. Perhaps won’t ovulate this cycle!

@Ejb86 how are you getting on with the bleeding today? Has it stopped?

@Sallyjo27 @Mommybear05 @SmileyT not got the period yet! But I've put in my symptoms and my app has recalculated to two days from now

Still flashing cb smiley for me after my strong opk yesterday CD 18 now and can feeling little pinchy ovulation pains so may just maybe it will be soon.. just really want to see that static and ill be happy.

@Re6ecc4 good luck with ur test, post it and lets see if we can see it.

@Hayleylou89 hi hun, that opk looked much darker so looks like heading there .. exciting .. so maybe your app was roughly correct any way and you'll ovulate over the weekend like it predicted .hopefully your cheapie is even stronger today. At least you're doing them along side so you know. Previous months I've just done CB and only got flashing smileys and didnt do cheapies so never really knew if I did ovulate. I've read sometimes those cb test dont always pick up on the surge so dont worry if you dont get the static smiley . Least you have the other tests to go by . It could always turn up tomorrow or sunday though so keep going with it! :)
I'm okay ! My AF literally lasted like 2 days. I'm CD5 now and my CB app says to start testing on Sunday. As I normally ovulate around CD 14 OR 16. So over the long bank hol Easter weekend which DH are both off and not working so that's worked out well 🤣👌 no excuse to be tired ay... haha also think I'm going to try the sperm meets egg method. DTD every other day starting CD8 then on the day you get your peak and day after. Although not gonna put pressure on it just have that idea in back of my head see if we can stick to it 👌 xxx

@Hayleylou89 at least you can feel signs of ovulation in your body and you are getting a flashing smile :) keep dtd is all we can do I suppose. I’m hoping it will go static soon for you!

So confused. I added my symptoms into the Flo app today and its recalculated my period to start in 2 days. I never have a 30 day cycle so I dont know where it's got that from

@Re6ecca4 that sounds very promising! Fingers crossed for you. Maybe as you haven’t had your period it’s just recalculated wrong?

Ivve done cheapie tests this week had a very faint line my CB digital has been a circle as well. I’ve just tested and it’s got a static smilie! Haven’t had a flashing at all, the cheapies have come up that I’m ovulating too. Better get to it 😂🙈

@Re6ecc4 not exactly sure how Flo works if you don't get your period but my Fitbit app (not used for TTC) will move my period if I say it hasn't started. Exciting about the faint line I'm so excited this could be our first BFP 🤞

@Mommybear05 I'm the same as you my opks got stronger but never peaked so no idea if this is TWW or just a wait for AF 😩

@Renna that’s a good idea. I’ve heard it works really well. We are currently trying it this cycle but as I’ve had a positive ovulation test we’ve DTD twice today. Sending you lots of baby dust! How is everyone coping being indoors? We’ve been told we aren’t needed over the Easter holidays now as a private nursery will be a “hub” and looking after the children from our school. I was quite looking forward to the distraction though.

@SmileyT I’ve had the exact opposite! My test hasn’t had a flashing smilie, just gone straight to static. Will still keep using the internet cheapies though just to keep track of it. Have you had any signs of ovulation?

@Sallyjo27 do you have a picture of ur cheapy to compare against to ur peak clear blue so i can see if mine compare? .. mine yest was so dark but still just getting flashys - below is yesterday and todays 🙈

@Hayleylou89 This is mine sorry it’s not the most clear. By the looks of yours I’d say your just about to ovulate, I haven’t had any flashys in this cycle. I tested this morning and had a circle but I think it was because I’d drank a lot before I’d tested. Have you tried reducing how much you drink and then testing in 2/3 hours?

@Sallyjo27 im almost dehydrated with trying to do these tests hardly drinking anything to make sure my wee is concentrated 🙈 x fingers crossed itll be soon 🙏🙏

What's the app you can use that you take a pic of your OPK ? I can't remember I'm currently using Ovia but that looks like a good idea, I currently stick them in a book x

Hi ladies hope you don't mind me jumping on, I had a chemical pregnancy on the 27th of March and I had my bloods checked yesterday which showed no hcg left in my system and I'm dying to try again as soon as possible 🤞🏼 is anyone taking any vitamins other than folic acid to help or is it no worth it? Hope you all get your rainbow babies soon xxx

Hi @Klwb93 I’m sorry to hear that. I felt exactly the same!
I’m taking. Higher dose of folic acid from my go because of my weight and I do take the his and hers conception vitamins from Asda (obviously I just take the “Hers” lol) they’re £10 and have exactly the same ingredients as the boots own make that are £16 😊

Still not having any luck with my ic opks, if anything their getting lighter! @hayleylou89 I'm with you on the dehydration front!!

Have any of you ladies ever had or heard of ovulation bleeding/spotting, I've been having a mixture or EWCM & creamy bu stretchy CM (ifs that's even a thing) since Tuesday, but just got back from a run and now spotting a bit of pink & brown (sorry tmi) not sure what to think now xx
