Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

@Mommybear05 yes they are negative but it looks like ov is imminent. I find that my peak ones the control line is a bit fainter and the test line is as dark as it gets. Look at cd17 on here.

Well, today's update: one day to go, negative test this morning and my boobs have started to hurt a bit, trying not to let it get to me as my positive was 6 days late last time.
No cramping though and still a little nausea and dizziness

Ejb86 · 02/04/2020 12:06

I'm so confused. 6dpo, not due AF until Mon/Tues and just had a significant amount of blood when wiping. I've never had a 23 day cycle in my life. Guess I need to see how it progresses today. Don't want to get my hopes up that it's an IB.

sakuramiyagi · 02/04/2020 12:08

I've only been using OPKs for my last two cycles, so still getting into the swing of reading them.

What time of day is everyone doing their OPKs, are you doing two a day?

Sallyjo27 · 02/04/2020 13:00

I am using cheapies along side my clear blue ovulation tests but only do them once a day, Usually Late afternoon around 4/5pm as thats when I’d get home from work.
@Re6ecc4 fingers crossed for you! I wish there was a way of finding out straight after ovulation 😩 the waiting is the worst!

Ejb86 · 02/04/2020 13:05

@sakuramiyagi I only do 2 when they start to get darker.

Hayleylou89 · 02/04/2020 17:32

@Hayleylou89 that looks like your going to ovulate very soon! When you do usually? I don’t ovulate until CD18 sometimes CD 22. Just keep testing, how long are your cycles? X

Hayleylou89 · 02/04/2020 18:38

@Sallyjo27 hey thanks for commenting. Usually 35-38 bit iv had one 32 day cycle aswell.
My natural cycles app predicts sunday for ovulation but i think/hoping it might be sooner.. sooner the better so i can get in that tww! Just thought my CB would have shown a peak considering how dark my cheapy is today but still just high fertility no peak yet :( x

Re6ecc4 · 02/04/2020 18:46

@Sallyjo27 so do I! Wish us ladies had an on switch for knowing whether we were pregnant. Half my colleagues are like "are you pregnant?"

TerribleImagination · 02/04/2020 19:26

@Ejb86 That is so confusing! Was it just the once or have you had more bleeding?

Hey everyone, I’ve been a bit absent as I tried to step away from all boards for a bit of head space tbh.
But just as I suspected, it’s ovulation time and I can’t stay away lol.
So after my chemical/v early miscarriage last month it seems my cycles are longer, as I’m currently on cd22 and todsy had these 2 ovulation tests. The positive one where the test line is darker than the control line, I did thus morning at about 11am. We couldn’t dtd then due to the kids being around lol. I took the other test this evening about 6pm and it’s clearly lighter.
The premom app tells me that this mornings test is my peak.
We’ve dtd lots in the run up to today, including 28th, 29th, 31st march and then 1am on 1st April. We will dtd again tonight, and tomorrow and probably every day over the weekend. But will this be enough? I’m so annoyed that my peak came earlier in the day.

@Hayleylou89 my natural cycles app can be a bit off too! It’s a pain I’ve been using it for over two years so you’d think it would be spot on but I suppose many different factors can affect our cycles. Keep testing, you will find the peak soon

@Re6ecc4 that would be amazing!! Ah I have that too! So annoying when they give you “the look” and stare at your stomach raise their eye brows and smile 🙄 it can be quite hurtful when your not.
Fingers crossed next time they ask yes! Will be the answer

@moominmiss I think so, they say sperm can live for 4/5 days. Have you googled the sperm meets egg plan? “ In order to ensure sperm and egg meet, you will “try” every other day starting on the eighth day of your cycle. The timing of this is based on how long sperm live, realistically a few days under ideal conditions. On the tenth day of your cycle you will begin daily testing with OPKs (ovulation prediction kits) and upon receiving a positive OPK you will “try” 3 more days in a row.”

Mommybear05 · 02/04/2020 20:15

@Moominmiss haha welcome back! My gosh you guys are going to be worn out! I think that dtd is plenty. Such a strong opk as well :) exciting times

Re6ecc4 · 02/04/2020 20:36

@Sallyjo27 I definitely hope so! My boobs have really started to hurt now so I'm not feeling hopeful anymore. Expecting to wake up bleeding tomorrow.

Ejb86 · 02/04/2020 20:41

@TerribleImagination it's been constantly there when I've wiped since mid afternoon. Dr Google isn't being much help. I'm not holding out much hope. Looks like we are cycle buddies no more. Sad

DisneyMummySince2010 · 02/04/2020 20:52

Hi everyone, so I’m CD22, no opks this month but I got my EWCM yesterday so think it’s ovulation time! Trying to not get my hopes up and taking this month as it comes.

TerribleImagination · 02/04/2020 21:38

@Ejb86 😢 I’m so sorry. I really really hope it stops and it’s implantation! Sending love to you ❤️

@Ejb86 @Re6ecc4 I've still got my fingers crossed, it's not over until AF is in full flow

@DisneyMummySince2010 just try and have fun practicing and try not to put too much pressure on things ( I know it's easier said than done)

DisneyMummySince2010 · 02/04/2020 21:46

Thanks @SmileyT

Things are so crazy at work due to the pandemic so yes- lots of BD for fun 😉

SmileyT · 02/04/2020 21:48

I've had a fun day at work with the police being called out to the bank I work in because a customer kicked a member of staff because we dared to close at lunchtime and she wanted to pay in a cheque for £5 that she has had for 6 weeks, hardly essential banking. Plus side it distracted me from TTC for a few hours, I came home and ordered femometer LH and HCG tests, a CB ovulation kit and some CB pregnancy tests... I've kinda given up this month as not sure I ovulated and expect AF sometime between the 16th and 30th but will be fully prepared for next month and excited to see some BFPs from all you lovely ladies 💜🌈

Re6ecc4 · 02/04/2020 22:11

@SmileyT I'm trying to think like that but I'm a bit nervous to go to sleep in case

omnomcalm · 03/04/2020 02:43

Hi hope you don’t mind me jumping in. I have never posted in a forum like this before (although I have read them quite a lot!) I must say I have some trepidation posting. It’s just been such a difficult few months.
First time we tried it worked, well, the first time. I wish it would again, but of course, stay.

It’s been 3 months since my miscarriage (at 5 weeks just before Christmas).

I don’t know any close friends who have gone through this. I’m 24. Most of my friends are a bit older than me and haven’t even started trying. Others already went through their trying phase and have kids now.
Anyhow sorry for the rambling!
We are trying again second time (tried in Feb also but didn’t work).
My period’s due in a few days. I have no clear symptoms of either except that I’m extremely emotional (which is really nothing new for me since the miscarriage), have some breast tenderness, and occasionally feel nauseous (which I can only notice because I’m so hyperaware of every little movement in my body).

More than anything, I want to express my compassion and gratitude to all you ladies for everything you have been through and for now trying again. You’re my inspiration! I don’t know you all personally of course, but knowing that so many women are going through what I am at the same time all over the world is a real source of... well I wouldn’t say comfort... but connectedness.

I‘m mostly living day to day at this point. Not even thinking of testing. I’ll find out soon enough anyway...

Re6ecc4 · 03/04/2020 07:50

Update: today is the day!
A. Have barely slept for worrying 😅
B. Not woken up bleeding - positive point
C. Took another test and I think I have line eyes. It's too faint to tell whether it's an indent or a line so I'm not getting excited, but going to show the fiancé when he gets up

Re6ecc4 · 03/04/2020 07:51

Also hello @omnomcalm and welcome to the group! Think you must be the most relaxed person here in terms of testing! And I am really sorry for your loss 😪
I lost my baby at 7 weeks.
I read these forums for ages before I posted in them! So welcome to the TTC april I'm glad you're here 🥰
