Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

@Bellabubble yes I’m surprised at how fussy my husband gets sometimes. He’s like oh it’s so forced and I’m like really?? I’m taking the OPKs tracking on the apps taking the vitamins doing the research and posting on the forums... you have one job! Haha

SmileyT · 31/03/2020 21:18

@Skygirl1983 I've got a while to wait... I'm CD13 if surgery was CD1 so if it's a 28day cycle AF would be due 16th April but as the Dr said it could be up to 6 weeks I'm planning on giving it to the 30th April, which is bloody ages away... but I'm kinda living vicariously through you ladies that are testing over the next couple of weeks x

Mommybear05 · 31/03/2020 21:20

@MummaShu hi welcome and sorry you find yourself here. Hmm I’m no expert but that could be promising being as u have had af since mc. That hormone is only detected in pregnancy and they rarely give false positives. I’d test again in a few days. Good luck 😉

TerribleImagination · 31/03/2020 21:21

@Mommybear05 Haha tell me about it! I get the same from my DP! He’s not as bad since the MC, but before he went on about how it wasn’t fun cos it’s forced! I was the same as you, comparing it to having to take OPK tests at 5am cos that’s the first wee of the day etc etc... Honestly, they love a whinge eh? 😂

@MummaShu sorry for your loss... was the AF a full flow or could it have been implantation bleeding or was it too heavy for that? I don't have any experience but maybe wait a couple weeks and take another test x

Mommybear05 · 31/03/2020 21:25

@Re6ecc4 see I needed a hpt to check hcg had completely gone after mc so I got one from Morrison’s and we were told to ‘shop infrequently’ so I couldn’t help myself. I got two packs of two and only used one 🙈 not due af til 11th but probably it’s later as it’s a 4-6 week wait after mc anyway. I’ll be thinking of u on Friday

ScienceNut · 31/03/2020 21:25

Can I just say a good luck to everyone here, I spent 3 years on these threads and eventually got my rainbow.

Llve to all going through this.

Mommybear05 · 31/03/2020 21:30

@MummaShu yes for sure. I got him some of those well man vitamins too and he’s like oh I don’t need to take them. So I pop one out and give it him with his breakfast. And he seems so much more relaxed about the whole thing. He’s like it’s will happen when it happens’. I really wish I could be more like that but it’s never been my style.

Mommybear05 · 31/03/2020 21:31

@ScienceNut thank you so much for your positivity. Congratulations on your little one ❤️❤️❤️

SmileyT · 31/03/2020 21:58

@ScienceNut ahh ☺️ love hearing stories with positive outcomes, congrats on your 🌈 xx

Renna · 31/03/2020 22:31

@Mommybear05 @TerribleImagination glad its not just me having the same conversation with a moany husband about it being too planned and my response being the same 🤣🙄
@sciencenut thank you for posting . Gives us all positivity 🌈💞 xx

Leok83 · 31/03/2020 23:16

@ScienceNut thank you and so lovely to hear success stories!!

@MammaShu looks like a positive, maybe you ovulated early? Def test again anyways! 🤞for you!

@Mommybear05 and @TerribleImagination I told my DH today I got a flashing smiley, so he says ok we’ll have to schedule in some BD so..I’ll just check my diary😂it’s actually comic how unromantic it all becomes..all we can do is joke about it!! Neither of us can manage every other day all cycle..no stamina for that anymore so when he attempts to moan about me doing opks and losing the romance I remind him that given our schedules it’s really the only way know we can get catch the right time.

@SmileyT I’m not sure AF until the 17th April..feels like ages away!!

@Re6ecc4 thats good will power to have not tested today. I hope you start April off on a positive note with a BFP when you do test!!

Renna · 01/04/2020 00:11

Ok so CD2 today.. first AF since surgical management 2nd March. AF was expected around now so has come on time but bleeding has been lighter than normal and I have just passed quite a big bit of tissue like 5cm long and quite wide and tick deffo feels like tissue, felt fleshy tough and thick. Not a clot. Possibly would even say was part of uterus lining maybe.. I haven't had anything like this at all and it's now over 4 weeks since surgery .
Anyone had this ?
Possibly thinking its AF coming shedding lining and was a lump of injured tissue from surgery or something? .I did take a pic of it but sure people dont want to be seeing that xx

SmileyT · 01/04/2020 08:08

So I am CD14 counting SMM as CD1 and taken a HPT which I'm marking as negative so at least from that side of things I can start from scratch again. Also realised waiting for the line to arrive that it's the first HPT I've taken in my life that has been negative and has made me feel a bit bleurgh but trying to see the positives in it. Would everyone take this as a negative and move on or do you think I need to test again in a week when hopefully it will be a crisp white to ensure no retained tissue?

Hayleylou89 · 01/04/2020 08:09

Good luck @Re6ecc4 and @Skygirl1983 testing soon 🙏 thanks @ScienceNut for sharing ur positive story 🌈 so lovely to hear!

Hope we start seeing some double lines this month 🙏

@Renna cd 16 and yet another flashing smiley this morning for me but still dtd anyway the past 2 days for fun and just incase 🤞🏻 x

Hayleylou89 · 01/04/2020 08:15

@SmileyT yeah u can still see the line quite a bit so maybe leave it a bit longer, sorry ur feeling a bit off, we are all here to talk too xx im still waiting for a positive opk and cb test and starting to think i might not ovulate this cycle even though my natural cycles app is predicting sunday as ovulation day im being so impatient just hoping i do see that static smiley soon 🤞🏻 xx

SmileyT · 01/04/2020 09:11

@Hayleylou89 I know what you mean about being impatient, it's only been 2 weeks and I'm expecting my body to just bounce back into complete normality even though my head hasn't. Guess I better get some more HPTs on my amazon order as I'd only bought 3 and realised the last one is digital so wont be easy to compare. I've kinda given up hope that i will ovulate this month as cervix has stayed low, no BBT shift, no EWCM, LH tests are now showing negative and HCG isn't fully out of my system so my body is not giving me good signs. Here's hoping you get your static smiley soon, think I'll add the CB ovulation kit to my amazon order aswell 🙌🏾

SmileyT · 01/04/2020 09:14

@Renna I've not had my first AF since surgery but does sound like lining, sometimes I get thick strips in my normal AF so I probably wouldn't be concerned but if it continues and you're worried I'd definitely contact your GP or hospital to be on the safe side x

Hayleylou89 · 01/04/2020 09:17

@SmileyT I was the same a few weeks after still had faint positive on the tests so as much as u think its not normal what is happening is actually very normal following a mc it just takes time and patience with ourselves which we dnt seem to have as alls we want is that 🌈 ... honestly this time next month ull be in a whole new frame of mind to what you are now xx

Renna · 01/04/2020 09:26

@SmileyT thank you xx yeah I've had like stringy sort of lining stuff you have in periods before but never had anything like this before. Its bigger and thicker, like chunky, compared to anything I've had before. As I didnt have any loss of blood or tissue before having surgery just weird for me to see anything like this but I imagine if I had miscarried naturally I may have seen things like this. Just weird getting it like 4 weeks later. But maybe the passing of it has been brought on by me coming on my period.

I'm CD3 now and bleeding seems to have stopped already so quite a light short period for my first AF since MC. But with the passing of some tissue also ! So strange.

It also took me about 2 weeks to get a similar faint line like your test you have taken there @smileyt and I did CB ovulation tests for like another ten days after that kept getting smiley flashing faces didnt find my peak. But I dont really know if it did happen or not as I wasnt tracking anything else .
I'm now doing cheapies and BBT this month so I can at least be sure I'm ovulating going forward .
Xxx

Skygirl1983 · 01/04/2020 10:42

I'm exhausted this morning. Zero motivation and didn't want to get out of bed! 4dpo so too early for symptoms so think it's got to be the current situation of working from home and not able to go out etc.

Re6ecc4 · 01/04/2020 10:59

Morning morning all, still no AF symptoms but even dizzier today! Sigh. Who knows. Two more days.

Mommybear05 · 01/04/2020 12:10

@Re6ecc4 fingers still crossed 🤞

@SmileyT yes I would test again just to be sure! Just think of your amazon order with the lovely Cb ovulation test pack. Your time is coming ❤️

Mommybear05 · 01/04/2020 12:11

@Skygirl1983 yes I think we are in danger of getting lethargic. Can you get out for exercise? That 2ww seems like ages at the best of times

Skygirl1983 · 01/04/2020 12:20

@Mommybear05 I'm getting out every afternoon for a good walk and have all my windows open to make sure I'm getting plenty of fresh air. I need to stop symptom spotting but that's hard in the current boredom! I hate having to worry about the tww again!
