Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

@sakuramiyagi hi welcome to the thread. Sorry for your loss. Yes I use Ovia and it really helps me have somewhere to store all of my information. Hope you get bfp soon! And the Coronavirus hasn’t put me off. I’m hoping he it wouldn’t be so bad by the due date.

Mommybear05 · 30/03/2020 19:40

@Ejb86 what an ordeal you have been through! You do so well to be positive now. X

Ejb86 · 30/03/2020 19:42

@SmileyT its only going into school 1 day every 4 or so weeks, but I'd previously said I was continuing to isolate due to myself and husband having asthma. Apparently our asthma isn't serious enough, so off to work I'll be going when I've been added to the rota.

Mommybear05 · 30/03/2020 19:45

@Skygirl1983 hi. Sorry to hear what you have been through. My mc was on 14th March, my brother’s birthday so sounds like we were having a rough time about the same time :( I haven’t waited for my period either. Luckily I didn’t need any surgery and passed naturally. Not waiting just straight on it feels like the only way I can move forward.

Mommybear05 · 30/03/2020 19:48

@Sallyjo27 yes to the can’t wait to be pregnant. Whether I will worry or not I’m not sure. Will see how I feel if I get pregnant. When you have had one mc the odds of another are just the same as someone who’s never had one. But at the same time I usually worry in early pregnancy so yes will probably fret. I’m a bit of a worrier in general though Confused

Mommybear05 · 30/03/2020 19:51

@Harper04 hi sorry you have found yourself here. I’m cd 17 if you count mc as day 1. I’m not waiting either but like you say who knows what cycle will be like. Told to expect period in 4-6 weeks so who knows when to ovulate? At least this lockdown gives us chance to bd Grin

Mommybear05 · 30/03/2020 19:56

@Ejb86 that sucks! I understand your concerns. Are you having many children in? We are getting max 4 in the whole school.

Hayleylou89 · 30/03/2020 20:01

@Renna

Hi lovely!

Im fine still flashing smileys but my opk got a tad stronger today still not that strong though so hopefully a peak earlier this week 🙏 my cp is high and getting softer so going in the right direction.

Aww that how mine started so maybe it will be full AF tomorrow and just think the sooner it starts the sooner its over and onto a fresh cycle ... ur not too far behind me and ur cycles have stayed similar length too which is always good ... will keep u update on when i get this peak 🙏 xx

Skygirl1983 · 30/03/2020 20:20

@Mommybear05 it seems that way. I opted for the surgery as it wasnt happening naturally and the medical management sounded awful! I was more than ready to try again. I think as we were so ready to have a baby and I have had no further problems there seemed no reason to wait. It took us 4 cycles of trying to conceive so hopefully wont take us long again this time.

SmileyT · 30/03/2020 20:22

@Ejb86 oh yeah sorry I do remember you saying, hopefully exposure is limited with only a few children in x

Charlott3 · 30/03/2020 20:29

@Ejb86 CD33 and 10dpo as my cycles range from 27 to 50+ ive been testing already with ic!! I cave to easily so always test early.. forever hopeful!!

@harper04, sorry for your loss, take care of yourself x

Bellabubble · 30/03/2020 20:29

Hello - first time poster, but joining following a mc at the end of Feb. My body didn’t notice until 8weeks, but scans showed nothing had progressed since 5 weeks. AF is visiting now so hopefully next month will be my month too -I have my fingers crossed for us all!

Leok83 · 30/03/2020 20:51

It’s been a while since I checked in and the thread has moved on a lot. I’m so sorry to see so many new ladies having to join us, I’m so sorry for all your losses and baby dust to you all.💐

@Annny27 and @MilsCookie sorry AF has arrived for you guys. I hope the break does you good..sometimes it’s the best thing to take a step back. xx

I’m CD10 here..for once time flew by at the start of this cycle! Not due to ov until CD16 at earliest but have started my opks now.
I think like everyone I’m anxious about TTC at the mo but will cross myself and DH will have to cross that bridge if we are lucky enough to get there!

Re6ecc4 · 30/03/2020 20:59

Hey @Renna you are on much better footing now with your body all reset. I know how depressing it is though.

88claire · 30/03/2020 21:14

@harper04 my daughter was conceived immediately following a miscarriage... They do say fertility is higher. I ignored everyone who said to wait Wink

Harper04 · 30/03/2020 22:22

Hopefully we can catch soon! Ive been reading some really promising stories! A New Years baby would be the best! Are you using ovulation kits? I don’t know whether to try them! I luckily caught pretty quick last time but I’m worried I’ll miss ovulation now I don’t know where I stand with my cycle x

Harper04 · 30/03/2020 22:25

Ahhh that’s given me so much hope! Thank you, I needed to hear that! How did you figure out your ovulation after miscarriage? It’s so confusing x

Harper04 · 30/03/2020 22:30

Thank you @Charlott3! You too, I’m so sorry about the loss of your twins. I’m really glad I found this thread because I hate speaking to friends and family about it, especially if they haven’t been through it - fingers crossed for us!!

Harper04 · 30/03/2020 22:36

@SmileyT Thank you! I’m so glad I found this thread! It’s nice to talk about it with people going through the same situation. My fingers are crossed for all of us! That’s good to know your doctor told you that, I didn’t get to ask the questions I wanted to ask as I just needed to get out of there! So I’ve been googling but articles all say different, just going to go for it! Have you used OPK’s? I bought one today but I have no bloody idea how it works haha!

SmileyT · 30/03/2020 22:37

Sorry about your loss @Bellabubble and hope you are recovering well. At least as AF is here you know your body is back in a cycle and hopefully this will be your month. Are you tracking at all? x

Harper04 · 30/03/2020 22:38

@Mommybear05
@88claire

Sorry forgot to tag you both in replies above ^^ woops x

Harper04 · 30/03/2020 22:40

@Bellabubble So sorry about your loss. As @SmileyT said at least after AF now you will be able to track easier now! Sending love x

88claire · 30/03/2020 22:42

@Harper04 I used the cheapie ovulation tests (green ones) from eBay or amazon and basically went for it when they got darker :) good luck! And sorry for your loss. Must have been awful Sad

SmileyT · 30/03/2020 22:47

@Harper04 I bought OPKs straight after my MC and a shedload of Googling but haven't got my head around them yet. I downloaded femometer app to interpret them, but also read online that if HCG is still in your system they can corrupt the results of the cheap OPKs as they can't distinguish which hormone it's picking up, I think the clearblue ones are much more accurate (plan to get one for next cycle we think I've already missed it this month). Yes it's so nice to be able to ask questions and feel like people have an understanding of what you are going through. My Dr was very matter of fact and probably helped that I'd had 3 scans that day by the time I actually had the conversation about surgery so I think I'd cried all the tears I had for that day and was asking all the practical questions x

Dipsy77 · 31/03/2020 08:26

Morning all,
So I think I’m back to normal after what seems like the longest miscarriage ever (medically managed on the 17th feb and then again the beginning of March). My AF came the 22nd March. I usually bleed for 6 days. On CD7 I got ovulation symptoms pain on left side etc so I took a cheapie test and it said I was ovulating. I usually ovulate early CD10 but not this early. Since then I have taken more tests and they have all been a lot fainter/negative. Has anyone else experience really early ovulation ? X
