Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

@Charlott3 my girls were MCMA, so they shared a placenta and a sac. This alone came with lots of risks, the main one being that they got their cords knotted, which they did. They also had Twin to Twin transfusion syndrome. Everything that could go wrong did. I read everything there was to read about MCMA twins. I knew all of the stats and risks but it didn't make any of it any easier.

The one positive I have is at least they're not here now, with weak lungs, potentially having to deal with this crappy virus.

Charlott3 · 30/03/2020 15:54

@Ejb86 im so sorry to hear that. Its so hard to try and take positives from such a cruel heartbreaking situation but yes you are right. What CD are you on at the moment? Fingers crossed for you too this month x

SmileyT · 30/03/2020 16:04

@88claire a new baby will definitely put a shine on a year you may have to delay/ amend wedding plans. Such a crazy time isn't it, I know there are loads of challenges with getting pregnant at this time but it's still something fab to look forward to. I bought my first pack of OPKs following my MC so still getting my head around them but 🤞

@Annny27 @MilsCookie whatever you decide regarding TTC I'm sure it will be the right thing for you, underneath all of my planning I do believe everything happens for a reason so maybe a month off actively TTC will be a blessing, if not just reducing stress levels x

@Charlott3 sorry you've found yourself here and for the loss of your twins but loads of support here, you are not in this alone

@Mommybear05 I have to keep our spirits up somehow, had a little poke around this morning and cervix is very low so here's hoping for some fertility even with my dry nether region... I've told myself that anything up to a March due date would be fab.

1 day back in the office complete, rushing home to do an OPK 😂

sakuramiyagi · 30/03/2020 16:14

Hi everyone, can I join?

I miscarried in October 2018 at 12 weeks and really struggled to cope afterwards. We put trying for a baby on hold and then took a holiday to Mexico which meant we couldn't start trying until January 2020.

Last month was our first month of actively trying. I'm using OPK tests and the Ovia app to track when I am most fertile.

Part of me does feel it is silly TTC during a pandemic, but we feel that if we keep putting it off, it may never happen.

Wishing you all the best of luck Daffodil

@MilsCookie I’m so sorry to see you go and have appreciated your posts so much over the last few months. I hope you enjoy your break and I’m sending you baby dust and happiness 💛

SmileyT · 30/03/2020 16:50

@sakuramiyagi Sorry for your loss... I understand the worry about the current situation I think a few of us have the same concerns but for me I have no idea how long it will take so taking advantage of more nights in the house 💜

Sallyjo27 · 30/03/2020 16:59

Hi ladies just checking in. What a long day it’s been in work! CD9 for me and hopefully I should ovulate around the 9th of April hoping I won’t be called in to work that weekend/beginning of the week so we will have more time 😂

SmileyT · 30/03/2020 16:59

@dinosaur17 maybe I did peak and didn't know as mine is showing as low today 🤔 did you test again today? I don't understand these bloody tests

@Renna how r u today? X x

Re6ecc4 · 30/03/2020 18:05

Hi @sakuramiyagi I'm sorry for your loss, welcome to the TTC group! Hoping that this month is your month!

@Sallyjo27 I bet that the lockdown will last plenty longer and you'll be bd all the time.

Skygirl1983 · 30/03/2020 18:19

Hi all, may I join. I had surgical management for my mmc on 11th March. I had a bleed when I would have been 10 weeks pregnant but the little one had stopped developing at 7 and a half weeks. The worst thing was we had seen a perfect little heartbeat at 6 and a half weeks. I stopped bleeding about a week and a half ago and started getting flashing smileys on my opk from last Tuesday. Dtd Thursday and Friday. I couldn't catch my peak as my opk test broke!! Now to wait! I didn't want to wait for my AF to come and go before trying again as I felt ready to try. Sending baby dust to you all!

Sallyjo27 · 30/03/2020 18:31

@Re6ecc4 I’m a teacher in a primary school so I’m still working when needed/on a rota.

Does anyone else feel like they can’t wait to be pregnant again but feel really scared about it at the same time? Not just because of what’s going on in the world but because of mc too and the fear of it happening again?

Skygirl1983 · 30/03/2020 18:33

@Sallyjo27 I feel exactly that. I really want to get pregnant again and soon but petrified at the same time as I dont want to go through what I have just been through again!

Re6ecc4 · 30/03/2020 18:48

@Sallyjo27 I am a pharmacy worker so i get it! We've been going around my 9 hour shifts!
I'm terrified of pregnancy again

Ejb86 · 30/03/2020 18:49

@SmileyT when you get a test like yesterday's it's worth doing 2 that day or day after to try to catch your peak. E.g.one in morning and one in afternoon. It does look as though you may have peaked as that's a big drop.

Sallyjo27 · 30/03/2020 18:50

@skygirl1983 it’s a horrible feeling but statistically it’s more unlikely for it to happen again- or at least that’s what I keep telling myself

Ejb86 · 30/03/2020 18:52

@Charlott3 I'm on day 21, 3dpo. Another week to go til AF is due. Hopefully this board will bring us all some luck. Xx

Ejb86 · 30/03/2020 18:53

So when I said I wasn't going back into work I've had an email today saying I'm expected in unless we've specifically been told to isolate by GP. Guess that's that then and I'll be back to work. At the moment we only have 3 kids max each day though.

Ejb86 · 30/03/2020 18:55

@Charlott3 when would AF be due? Are you not tempted to test early? I'm terrible for testing early.

Harper04 · 30/03/2020 18:59

Hi everyone, can I join. I’m currently going through a MC, I was 6 weeks PG and it happened on Wednesday last week. Still spotting blood now but I feel the only way for me to get over it is to start trying again asap. I know that it maybe too soon to start trying but I really don’t want to wait, although god knows what my cycle will be like now. I’m so sorry to hear what you have all been through, this has been so difficult Flowers. Praying we all get bfp’s very soon!!! X

Skygirl1983 · 30/03/2020 19:20

@Sallyjo27 I have read similar and the midwife said the same at the hospital too. I'm hopefully. I have this overwhelming feeling of there being a baby in my home this Christmas. I hope it turns out to be real.

Re6ecc4 · 30/03/2020 19:27

@Skygirl1983 a baby in our home by Christmas. Let that be our prayer 😍

SmileyT · 30/03/2020 19:29

@Skygirl1983 sorry for your loss, I had SMM for my MMC at 9 and a half weeks after seeing a heartbeat at 6 and 7 weeks it's so heartbreaking isn't it? We are also TTC again now sending you lots of baby dust x

@Harper04 I'm sorry for what you are currently going through, please be kind to yourself and look after yourself not only physically but also emotionally. There are a few of us who haven't had our first AF post MC yet so you are definitely not alone in not wanting to wait, the doctors told me that there was no reason to wait following the end of the bleeding. I also have no idea what my cycle will do this month but having fun trying. Hoping there will be many of us with BFPs this month x

@Ejb86 thanks I did fear that I may have missed it... it's my first time using OPKs but think I'll order a CB for next month as the OPKs are too difficult for my simple mind to understand🤦🏾‍♀️ Also thats crap that you have to head back into work F/T especially if you're not needed everyday right now ☹️

Skygirl1983 · 30/03/2020 19:29

@Re6ecc4 absolutely! A little mantra!

Renna · 30/03/2020 19:36

Hello to all the ladies joined xx sorry for your losses sending hugs and baby dust 🌈 xx

@Hayleylou89 hey hun xx how are you ? I'm okayy.. looks like AF is here .. I checked my cervix position this morning , it's still kinda high but there was some dark ish blood so expecting it to arrive properly today but shes still not properly arrived.. nothing in a pad at all all day but deffo blood there when I've check CP. And I've had crampy feelings . So I'm maybe having a really light period like @Re6ecc4 said she had or AF might arrive properly tomorrow. So wait and see whether today should be CD1 or tomorrow depending if I bleed any heavier tomorrow.

Feel mixed about it but trying to see the positive like you said that my body has got back to normal as today would be CD28 which was round about my normal cycle length and usually ovulate around cd14/16.

How are your tests going @Hayleylou89 ? X x
