Starting this thread for anyone TTC after a miscarriage. My MC was in December and I’ve had no joy since, but these threads have been wonderful for being amongst lovely people going through the same thing.

As always, sorry to anyone who finds themselves here and fingers crossed we all get our rainbows soon 🌈

Hi there! I've just started TTC after a chemical pregnancy (unplanned at the time). I have a two year old daughter who was conceived after a miscarriage. Currently on CD 9... Here we go! Smile

Ejb86 · 29/03/2020 21:54

@wishingfornumber2 it sounds to me like it's just AF honey. I'm sorry.

Re6ecc4 · 29/03/2020 23:18

Thankyou @Mommybear05! I feel like I'm going mad at the moment, I'm just desperate to test, terrified of both positive and negative

SmileyT · 29/03/2020 23:49

@Mommybear05 If it goes back to my pre-MC cycle straight away it would be a 28 day cycle and assuming I ovulated around day 14 so I would be ovulating middle of next week. TMI I'm sure but I've been checking for CM since looking into TTC but seem to have been dry as the Sahara post SMM 🤦🏾‍♀️ Oh yeah I can see why you have no idea what a normal cycle is for you. I'm so desperate for a 2020 baby but at the same time trying to not pin all my hopes on it, it's so hard to stay rational once you start trying though, hopefully it works out for both of us this month, the world needs some bloody positivity right now 🌈

SmileyT · 29/03/2020 23:52

@88claire sorry for your loss but hoping this will be your month. I'm on CD11 counting the MC as CD1 so a couple days ahead of you, hoping for my normal 28 day cycle but obviously no idea what my body will be doing after the surgery. Are you tracking anything? Or just SMEP?

Ejb86 · 30/03/2020 06:36

@Mommybear05 @MilsCookie @Sallyjo27 Another primary teacher here. I've told my head that I'm not willing to risk my family's health by going in with us being asthmatic. Having said that so far there's been 0 kids most days.

I'm 3dpo and already kidding myself that my nips are super sensitive and I've got heartburn. Hmm

88claire · 30/03/2020 09:07

@SmileyT we were actually due to get married later in the year so were holding off until then - but we also didn't want a massive gap between my two year old and a new baby - so we're going for it due to wedding uncertainty but trying to be as relaxed as possible (but who am I kidding I've just bought a 30 pack of OPKs Grin) Hope this is your month too! So nice to have other people to talk to on the same journey! Smile

MilsCookie · 30/03/2020 09:31

Morning ladies. Hope everyone is okay.

Yesterday I only had the tiniest amount of spotting so stupidly allowed myself a glimmer of hope that it could be IB but then AF started with full flow this morning soooooo that will teach me! Hmm

@Renna Ahhh yeah we also used pre-seed last month.... fat load of good that did me haha! Fingers crossed AF stays away for you!

@Mommybear05 @Ejb86 it's all been a very strange time... I have had to say I can't go in because DP and I are currently living with his parents who are both in the high-risk category so we can't risk it for their sake... feel bad though and like I'm letting people down :-(

Wishingfornumber2 · 30/03/2020 09:54

@Ejb86 Yes, think I was pretending to myself it had worked. Onto the next cycle! X

Annny27 · 30/03/2020 12:10

Hey ladies - cd1 for me. Af just arrived (almost 2 days late which was great for getting me Hope's up.....same as @MilsCookie)

We are on the fence with trying this month, but will still stick around here and see how you are all getting on :D

TerribleImagination · 30/03/2020 12:39

Sorry about AF showing up @MilsCookie and @Annny27 - CD1 is the WORST 😢 Sending you both lots of love ❤️

Hey all. Just another little message to say I probably won't be around much until perhaps the end of the month to see how you're all doing. After a rather teary chat this morning (me because of how disappointed I am AGAIN), we have decided not to 'try' this month to see if it takes the pressure off a bit. No more OPKs, no vitamin taking (except folic acid), no SMEP, no mumsnet (this one I hate!) etc. Just gonna dtd as and when we feel like it and see what happens. I can't keep living each month like this so we've decided its best for our (mainly my) mental health for now. Sending lots of luck to you for TTC this month and I'll pop back in a few weeks to see how you're all doing. Big hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxx Flowers

Charlott3 · 30/03/2020 12:47

Hi all, hoping it ok to join your chat! Im currently 10dpo and really really hoping for a BFP(big fat positive)soon!! I lost my twins last year and have been TTC(trying to conceive)again since July last year. After my D&C my cycles have been super long but greatful i have been ovulating. Hoping for BFP(big fat positive)'s all round x

Mommybear05 · 30/03/2020 13:07

@88claire hi nice to meet you. Good luck for this month :) cd 17 here still no sign of ovulation

Mommybear05 · 30/03/2020 13:10

@SmileyT dry as the Sahara haha. You do make me laugh. Yes you are right we shouldn’t pin our hopes on a particular month. Not al that important on the grand scheme of things! Hubby doesn’t want another December baby but he’s willing to try all the same. Our son is 5th dec so he doesn’t want the expense! I said it is the same cost no matter what the month! We will see! I find it very hard to go with the flow with things like this that I can’t control!

Mommybear05 · 30/03/2020 13:13

@Ejb86 I don’t blame you being higher risk. Yes I’m terrible for symptom checking too!

Mommybear05 · 30/03/2020 13:15

@MilsCookie aw sorry af got you! Yes if I were living with high risk family then I wouldn’t go in!

Mommybear05 · 30/03/2020 13:18

@Annny27 hi nice to meet you. Yes I love following threads and reading peoples stories! I’d bore my friends senseless otherwise!

Mommybear05 · 30/03/2020 13:19

@MilsCookie aw sometimes this is for the best! Bye for now and good luck! Xxx

Mommybear05 · 30/03/2020 13:20

@Charlott3 hi so sorry for your loss! That must have been horrible! Good luck with ttc I’m hoping for a bfp for you! Xx

Charlott3 · 30/03/2020 13:29

Thanks Hun, yeah it was a rough time but feel in a good place now. Hoping to see lots of our BFP's real soon!!

Ejb86 · 30/03/2020 13:30

@Charlott3 welcome to our little TTC group.

I lost twins last year too, found out at the 16 week scan that their little hearts had stopped. The worst experience of my life. Completely.

Charlott3 · 30/03/2020 13:40

@Ejb86 thank you. I am so sorry to hear about your twins. Its so heartbreaking. I find it such a comfort to be able to talk about it x

Ejb86 · 30/03/2020 14:41

@charlott3 I love to talk about my girls too. How far gone were you? Do you know what type of twins you were having? X

Charlott3 · 30/03/2020 15:22

@Ejb86 I had an early scan at 7/8 weeks as i was too excited to wait for the 12 weeks. Had 2 seperate sacs but only one baby had a heart beat. Then at my 12 weeks scan no heart beats. I was hoping for a mirical that they would see 2 heart beats but no, both babies were gone. What about your girls?
