TTC after ectopic pregnancy

Hello I'm hoping to chat with other ladies ttc after ectopic pregnancy with tubal removal. I recently had an ectopic pregnancy and lost my left tube. I don't know anyone who has been through this so I've no one to talk to about this. I would love this tread to become a kind of support group where we can support each other on the scary journey of ttc.

Oh @littleeggcup how worrying for you. Bed with a hot water bottle is absolutely the right thing. Why won’t the EPU see you?

They said if it's a miscarriage they can't do anything anyway so I just need to ride it out. They said if I have really heavy bleeding filling pads then to go to a&e.

They won't offer scans just for reassurance.

Right now there's no bleeding but cramping is getting so bad now so I know what's going to happen.

Scan is at 7.15pm

Not at all. Decided that if this is a miscarriage then we will stop trying now. I can't deal with the heartbreak and stress x

I got positive pregnancy tests this morning! Due AF tomorrow. I really hope this is it but my temp is dropping 🤞🏻

Thank you @DoctorBambino! Since July 2019 so 17/18 long long months. My ectopic was in October. Really hope this is a good start to the year

@littleeggcup that is such good news, I am so delighted. I was thinking of you as I was cooking the dinner the other night! All good wishes for a good few weeks coming up.

Thank you so much. I don't know why but I still can't shake this negative feeling. I wish I could be positive and happy but I just keep worrying I'll miscarry or have a missed miscarriage announced at my next scan. I really hate this feeling. Sorry to be a downer when really I should be feeling elated. I feel guilty really.
Spoke to midwife today to book my booking in app and bloods and said I was anxious about my brown discharge but she told me not to worry and to keep off forums!!

@DoctorBambino I know! I thought it would be a longgg time with help before I saw anything again, I’m totally gobsmacked.

In a way it still feels like yesterday @NigellasMicrowave, how are you doing now?

Thanks @Chica1990. Feeling a bit better, physically, but struggling on the emotional side. I’ve been having some nightmares, largely triggered by coming into contact with friends who are currently pregnant. Also really worried about it happening again!

I had a blood test yesterday for hcg levels and hoping they are close to zero - they were double figures last week. I’m really looking forward to being able to take folic acid again! Ordered an Ava bracelet to help me keep track of my cycles before resuming TTC in March. Small things, but helping me look forward, not back.

Everything crossed for your blood test @NigellasMicrowave, I found I really turned a corner once my HCG was negative x

Hcg was at 7 yesterday, so I’ve been released from the EPU and can start taking my folic acid. I’m so relieved and can’t wait to get stuck into the green vegetables.

Can I just ask how did you all feel when your period arrived after your ectopic ? am feeling relieved because I think at least my body is going back to normal but also such sadness that I relieved about my period because I should be pregnant either 10 weeks or 34 weeks . It just isn’t fair plain and simple and there is nothing I can do about it. Also was the first one really painful just like after your miscarriage ? Think I will just stay in bed today it isn’t like we can go anywhere x

@NigellasMicrowave glad physically you are recovering, the emotional side unfortunately is harder. I feel like my progress was stagnant for weeks and then changed quickly. It’s a shame things are closed atm because I had something like reiki along with acupuncture which I felt helped me make some progress. I have an ava bracelet too, not cheap but it is interesting.

Spotting again today- I mentally am struggling so bad. I keep wanting to get another private scan but I only had it on Monday !!
