@Whiffle77 yay! There's going to be a lot of babies come out of this lockdown situation lol

Annny27 · 25/03/2020 08:23

Ahhh congratulations @Whiffle77 did you have any symptoms? Xx

Whiffle77 · 25/03/2020 08:39

No nothing!! Had very few last time but even less this time! Still spotting as well so I'm not sure it will stick...but got to try and be positive!

Fizzl · 25/03/2020 09:32

Ah congrats @Whiffle77 so many positives this month! December is going to be busy.

@Annny27 I caved and tested this month and I'm the same as you. Even my line eyes that could detect a positive test when my hcg was only 9 in jan are not seeing anything. I know it's still early at 10dpo but I'm fairly sure I am out this month. Still have no obvious symptoms to report, I'm only getting a few minor cramps, slightly tender boobs now and that's about it so all typical pre-af symptoms!

MilsCookie · 25/03/2020 10:25

Ahhhhh wow congratulations @Whiffle77!! So happy for you 🎉 has it sunk in yet?

@Anny27 I'm sorry it was a bfn lovely. Pretty sure I'm out too but I'm waiting for the FRER to arrive and then I'll maybe test then or wait till the morning so I can use FMU.

@Fizzl sorry you also had a bfn but it might still be too early 😘

MilsCookie · 25/03/2020 11:07

Oh god. So I wasn't just taking out the bathroom bin and my test from yesterday was in there and caught my eye. Is this just an Evap line cos it's 24 hours since I peed on it? I know I need to just do another test but my FRERs haven't arrived yet! It's just I thought Evap lines were grey or colourless and I swear this has a pink tinge to it. I'm not getting my hopes up cos it was definitely a BFN yesterday and it was still stark white an hour later. I just don't understand why they do this? 😩

MilsCookie · 25/03/2020 11:07

Forgot to attach the photo... doh!!

Annny27 · 25/03/2020 11:22

@milscookie I think it's likely to be evap line :( I did an experiment on a FRER last month (because I am obsessed and ridiculous haha) where I dipped the FRER in water and let it dry and it had a pink line after the time frame !

Take the FRER when it arrives and hopefully it's not an evap for you :D

MilsCookie · 25/03/2020 11:30

Thanks @Annny27 you're probably right. I love that you did a home experiment haha! Will keep you posted xxx

Fizzl · 25/03/2020 11:42

@MilsCookie that's strange as definitely looks like there is something there but not sure how reliable it is after so much time has passed. Haha love it @Annny27 at least it wasn't completely wasted as now we know the outcome of your experiment too which will help us all when over analysing lines.

I got my husband to double check the test I did this morning and he took one look and just went 'nope'. Not even a moment of hesitation to get my hopes up 😂.

Whiffle77 · 25/03/2020 11:47

Thanks @Fizzl and @milscookie no not sunk in at all! I feel odd about it, not least because of the spotting but trying to be positive! I know time will drag now but I am soooooo busy at work (she says typing on mumsnet...) so at least that will keep me going.
Not sure about evaps so I would test again tomorrow! I will still be testing again tomorrow...and the next day...and the next haha!

SunnySideUp2020 · 25/03/2020 14:31

Congrats @Whiffle77 x

@Annny27 😄 thanks for sharing the experiment results! And sorry it was a bfn, still got two days though to test?

Same for @Fizzl 🤞🏽

@MilsCookie it does look pink for evap, but if it was bfn yesterday then idk... probably is for now? Hope it’s not though obviously!!

AF arrived on time today. Moving onto April 😕

Good luck to @Anny27 @milscookie @fizzl and all the rest of you lovely ladies testing this week xxx hope NOT to see you in April!

💓💓💓💓🌈🌈🌈🌈

MilsCookie · 25/03/2020 16:09

Ahhh sorry @SunnySideUp2020 hopefully April will be your month!!

My FRERs arrived and obviously I couldn't wait... tested and just got the most obvious BFN. ARGH! I think I'm going to sit on my hands now and wait for AF. She's due either sat or sun so might test Sunday if she hasn't shown up. Will probably be joining the April thread soon! xxxx

P.s. @Annny27 and @Fizzl it could still be too early! Fingers crossed for us all :*

Whiffle77 · 25/03/2020 16:18

Thanks @SunnySideUp2020 good luck to you in April x

It is still really early @milscookie and you wont get a decent line at this time of day! Still keeping my fingers crossed for you guys

MilsCookie · 25/03/2020 17:33

@Whiffle77 thanks lovely, I really hope you're right but just feel like I'm out now if it didn't show at 11dpo. Good luck to you with this pregnancy, fingers crossed you have a healthy sticky bean!! xxx

Whiffle77 · 25/03/2020 18:29

Thank you - got everything of mine crossed!! Xxx

triedandtestedteacher · 25/03/2020 19:38

@MilsCookie it's still early. I don't even think frers are any more sensitive than other tests tbh

MilsCookie · 25/03/2020 21:41

@triedandtestedteacher I hope you're right! why don't think they're more sensitive?

Annny27 · 25/03/2020 21:45

From experience they are more sensitive - it detected a hcg beta of 5 when I was testing after my miscarriage! And other cheaper tests I used were showing completely negative. And I know @fizzl has had a similar experience too

@milscookie sorry it was bfn :( I have 0 pregnancy symptoms at all and my mind knows that I am not pregnant but my heart still has some hope! I should stop torturing myself

@fizzl when will you retest?

@SunnySideUp2020 sorry that AF arrived :( realistically I will be joining you on the weekend xx

MilsCookie · 25/03/2020 21:51

@annny27 it's just awful isn't it. Our hearts hope and hope and then we end up not pregnant. Again. I don't know how long I can keep doing this for. I'm only on cycle 3 since the miscarriage and I know that's no time at all but I naively thought it would happen straight away! I feel like my life is currently on hold until I become pregnant again (I mean, with coronavirus it's on hold for the foreseeable anyway!) It's just so, so, so hard :-(

Annny27 · 25/03/2020 21:59

@milscookie this is my 3rd cycle too and already feeling really disheartened as well! 😭 I conceived on my 4th cycle last time so if it goes past then I will be really sad :( I also bought a due in 2020 babygrow when I first found out and then when we miscarried I thought of I will keep that for when we conceive again......and now it looks like I wint be getting my 2020 baby after all:(

scrumdiddly123 · 25/03/2020 22:39

@Whiffle77 great news congratulations!

Fizzl · 25/03/2020 22:51

Sorry you're hopping onto the April thread @SunnySideUp2020

@Annny27 I want to wait until Friday but I will probably test again tomorrow!

@milscookie it was the internet cheapies I found to be really sensitive. I got my first BFP on them and they kept detecting hcg for weeks after my surgery.

I'm also feeling slightly sad that it's looking unlikely to happen in 2020 now. As daft as it sounds I really liked the idea of a 2020 baby - born in 2020 has a nice ring. In the grand scheme of things it's really irrelevant. It's also unlikely I will have a baby now before I turn 31. Another blow as I always said I wanted kids when I turned 30 and my life plan seemed to be falling perfectly into plan 😒. It's really petty and irrelevant though and I just need to accept what will be will be. It looks like the whole of 2020 is going to be a write off with everything that's happening. Let's hope 2021 is the year for us 🤞 good things have got to come eventually and it will be worth the wait and make us appreciate everything so much more.

triedandtestedteacher · 26/03/2020 07:58

@MilsCookie just my experience. I've tested with frers in the past because they say they can pick it up 5/6 days before and I think they're supposed to detect 5 or 10mui of hcg? Yet when I was testing for my last pregnancy, two days before my period was due I got a positive on a cheap pink test from Superdrug but the frer was negative with the same urine sample. Clear blue digital also picked up that same day
