@ChampooPapi @Ljm0101 how are you getting on ladies ?

CD15 for me and did not have a surge or a high really yet on opk and rn suffering of food poisoning or virus and feeling like today is my last day on earth 🥴
Very rough...

So hopefully ovulation will wait :/

Fizzl · 08/03/2020 10:05

Hi @EssJayyCee my periods returned back to normal fairly quickly. They maybe last slightly longer now but I don't see that as a bad thing as before I'd only really have 1 day of heavy flow then it went really light for a few days whereas now it seems more of a steady flow - hope that makes sense!
Did you have surgery? I was really worried after my surgery but now feel it might have helped in someways (I have absolutely no evidence to back this up tho, just wishful thinking). I know a lot of people have said their periods took a while to get back to normal and I think it is quite usual for your first period to be lighter as your lining needs time to build back up again.

Sorry all for bringing this topic to this thread but is anyone worried about ttc with this whole Coronavirus saga?? I'm pretty chilled about it at the minute and think the media are massively scaremongering and hoping it will all just fizzle out quite quickly but then I've read some things about how it can be dangerous in early pregnancy because of the high fever. Now I know if I am lucky enough to fall this month I will start worrying about this bloomin virus and it just feels like another thing to worry about on top of everything else 😠

Sorry for the rant it just feels like I'm destined to never enjoy hopefully being pregnant and the world wants me to be an anxious wreck (I know I'm being a bit of a drama llama 🙄)

Annny27 · 08/03/2020 10:08

@Fizzl I an concerned that if I get pregnant it will make me anxious. Fevers are dangerous in early pregnancy so if I do get a positive this month I will probably be a recluse trying to avoid it haha!

Fizzl · 08/03/2020 10:18

Glad I'm not alone @Annny27
I know there is probably as much chance at the minute as catching the regular flu or another bug which could be just as dangerous/causes fever so I'm trying to keep it in perspective. It's just frustrating.

TerribleImagination · 08/03/2020 10:36

@Ejb86 This 2WW is actually fine, for once! (So far...) I got a UTI so was getting rid of that, which took my mind off off symptom spotting. I started cramping yesterday and AF is due Tuesday, but I know from previous months that can be either AF or PG so just not reading into it. I just have a feeling it’s not my month this month... When the GP said I had a UTI, I was there with suspected ovarian cysts (due to persistent bloating for over 2 months now) and I’ve had my referral scan through and blood test, so I’m just thinking about hopefully getting that sorted. It’s doing a grand job of taking my mind off this 2WW 🤣

How are you doing this month?

I guess ovulation will not wait.
Would you say this is peak?
I am abroad and dont have my normal femometer pee sticks so bought the one they had here (or rather DP bought because i am stuck in bed with my stomach flu)

@sunnysideup2020 that's either peak or very nearly peak :D

Bad timing with the stomach flu but gotta crack on haha

Pushingnic · 08/03/2020 11:34

@EssJayyCee I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks in October. I had a light bleed 1st December didn’t think it was a period it wasn’t even enough for a pad. Literally a bit of spotting when wiped. 1st jan comes and another bleed starts. Slightly heavier than December but still not a proper period in my opinion. Very very light and only lasting 1-2 days. 2nd feb another bleed starts so now quite regular but again this was very very light only with 1 day needing a pad. So I was very worried That it wasn’t proper periods especially as we wanted to start trying again. However I have just got a BFP yesterday so it must have been ok. i think maybe I had been flushed out as I had D&C in October to end pregnancy due to blood loss. I’m so nervous/anxious since finding out and unable to really be positive about this pregnancy but I guess I have to just try. Just wanted to reassure you that maybe light/short periods are ok and you can get pregnant with them!

DisneyMummySince2010 · 08/03/2020 12:00

@pushingnic that is such a positive story! Good luck with your BFP ❤️

SunnySideUp2020 · 08/03/2020 12:26

@Anny27 we managed to dtd just now but i had to go vomit just after and everything was pushed out in the process 😟😟

I never get sick like this - it must have happened once every two years and it has to be today 😩

Pushingnic · 08/03/2020 12:30

@DisneyMummySince2010 thank you so much ♥️ Praying this works out! Don’t know how I could go through that again! I really underestimated how anxious I would be if I got pregnant again!

Whiffle77 · 08/03/2020 12:33

@misslbear I have just started using premom app for opks, I'm not sure whether it is helpful or feeding my obsession haha!
@EssJayyCee just finished my first and it was heavier and more painful than normal, which was hard but also made me feel better about having it as my body obvs needed it!
Oh @sunnysideup2020 you poor thing! Hope you feel much better soon!
The sun the last few days has improved my mood, plus will be back in fertile window next week which I think is giving me some hope

Whiffle77 · 08/03/2020 12:34

Congrats @Pushingnic great news!

Pushingnic · 08/03/2020 12:34

@DisneyMummySince2010 also good luck with your ttc journey! Don’t mean to scare anyone by saying I’m anxious so sorry if I do I really hope you all get the BFP soon and have healthy pregnancy’s. I guess just hard after a loss for me!

Ejb86 · 08/03/2020 12:38

@TerribleImagination I've been ok. After starting OPKs last month I've realised that my ovulation is much later than it was pre miscarriage, so effectively the 2WW is a 1WW. I worry that this isn't long enough for a successful pregnancy to take hold though.

I started with a cold 3dpo...cant help but hope that my body didn't fight it off because it is too busy making a baby. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Ljm0101 · 08/03/2020 13:44

Hey @SunnySideUp2020, yeh I think I had my peak the other day on CD14 I'm now on CD17 still DTD but I guess I'm just entering the 2WW now so just keeping everything crossed.
Awww no I hope you're feeling better, they say that everything gets to where it needs to be within 1 minute so fingers crossed that you didn't push it all out. If you can keep at it. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 xxxx

Happyasbarry · 08/03/2020 15:09

@Hayleylou89 hi, I am not sure, I did have cramps but never paid attention like this before. I got another random raise last night which then vanished three hours later. It isn't great this waiting game, finding it tough thinking about anything else at the moment.

Hayleylou89 · 08/03/2020 15:16

@happyasbarry
I know mine has stayed quite high since friday but iv tested at diff times of the day and it fluctuates a bit so just been DTD as much as poss and i think im in the 2ww as of now but as i dont know when AF is due following my loss ill just have to hope it doesn't show and we have managed to get pg right away 🙏🙏

DisneyMummySince2010 · 08/03/2020 16:00

Aww don’t worry at all @Pushingnic I’m sure everyone on this thread would be anxious after a BFP! If I ever get one again I really want to try and enjoy it though xx

SunnySideUp2020 · 08/03/2020 18:57

@Whiffle77 thanks x

@Ljm0101 that’s good! When are you planning to test?

Feeling a tiny bit better but can’t manage dtd again tonight. Feeling too rough and dp can’t do it if i am not well :/

Took another ovulation test tonight and it’s defo peak.

@Whiffle77 thank you!

DisneyMummySince2010 · 08/03/2020 20:01

Don’t worry @SunnySideUp2020 fingers crossed you feel up to it tomorrow 🤞

Ljm0101 · 08/03/2020 20:35

@SunnySideUp2020
I'm going to try and hold out until after AF is due so around 19th I think. Try and get a good night sleep tonight then hopefully you'll feel better first thing 🤞🏼🤞🏼. Xxx

TerribleImagination · 08/03/2020 20:54

@Ejb86 Fingers crossed your LP is long enough 🤞🏻 I’ve heard that taking B6 helps to lengthen it, so you could always try that if you don’t get lucky this month? Crossing everything this is your month though!!

Ejb86 · 08/03/2020 21:23

@TerribleImagination thanks lovely. I think I've just felt some cramping, so I'm probably out. I've booked myself a doctors appt, for a week on Tuesday. Going to and have a moan at him, hes a lovely understanding GP, and see what he suggests. I know it's only 6 months since I lost the babies, but both previous pregnancies I got pregnant by only dtd once each month, my cycles were 28 days and I must have ovd around when ovia suggested because that was when we dtd. The miscarriage has thrown everything out of sync and it is practically impossible to get pregnant with such a short LP.
