I saw a thread about this back from 2019, a few people noticed their resting heart rate started to increase steadily after ovulation and they got there bfp. (Although people did report it rose then dropped before AF)

Just wondering if anyone on here has tracked and got a definite bfp?

I'm currently 10dpo and my heart rate has jumped from 60bpm to 67bpm since ovulation.

Not sure when my period is due as they are irregular.

Attached my chart too!

@alicespring I'm so sorry to hear you had a chemical. Must be heart breaking so I completely understand if you want to take a break. We'll be here when you're ready to interpret heart rates with the crazies again!

5dpo today and my HR is looking promising.

@kona84 it is! Fingers crossed for you.

I'm CD6 and my chart is nowhere near as clear as it's been in previous cycles. I haven't had a clear decline for AF and I reached my lowest rhr at CD5 instead of on CD1. I've marked my two last periods in red and ovulation in green to show how much higher my rhr was for this AF.

@Juno231 I can see that you rose for ovulation then decreased AF.
Have you had another rise yet? Are you doing less activity?

Kona84 · 28/04/2020 13:43

I’m currently 9DPO and my HR is heading up again after a few days of decline.
I hope it goes up further over next few days planning to test at 12DPO but if HR decreases again I’ll just wait for AF

Hi @kona84 how is rhr looking nowadays.
I'm CD11 and due to ovulate on CD13 but you'd never know looking at my RHR as it's carried on going down way past AF and is currently at 60.

@Juno231 sorry haven't read through all of the old posts so may have been mentioned but what does your RHR normally do around ovulation? I got pregnant in Feb and only realised through my RHR shooting up after missed period (thought I was just getting super unfit 🙈) sadly miscarried but now ttc and want to see if I can find any kind of pattern. I'm currently CD10 and my RHR has plummeted since AF on the 19th 🤔

Juno231 · 28/04/2020 19:57

@SmileyT it was 72 on the last cycle and 68 on the one before that. I normally have my lowest RHR at AF but this time it continued to drop way past it so now I'm at my lowest on CD11 🤷‍♀️

SmileyT · 28/04/2020 20:07

@Juno231 well hopefully our bodies are fully relaxing for a mega ovulation 🤗 I'm guessing ovulation is going to be around CD14 for me, hope we both see a shift in RHR and it's our lucky months xx

Juno231 · 28/04/2020 20:19

@SmileyT interesting that we both have the same pattern atm! I wonder if it means we might be ovulating later this month. Are you using OPKs or bbt at all?

SmileyT · 28/04/2020 21:24

I've decided to throw everything at it this month... so yep I'm doing cheapie opks, clearblue connected and bbt. BBT is pretty stable and opks all showing low so far but this is my full month of both so not sure how long before ovulation I expect to see the CB to go to high fertility. How long have you been trying? Is this your first? I'm trying to be relaxed this month but not sure how long that will last 🙈

@Juno231

Juno231 · 28/04/2020 21:42

@SmileyT haha you're fully kitted out! What cycle is this for you and is it your first? This is cycle 4 for my for #1. I'm using cheapie OPKs - got a really low end of high today so hoping for a peak tomorrow in line with what happened last month!

I find it interesting your bbt isn't really mirroring your rhr - I thought they usually did! Then again I've never used bbt so have no clue lol.

Kona84 · 28/04/2020 21:45

@SmileyT at ovulation I tend to rise from around 64bpm to 69bpm
Then it comes back down towards AF.
For me this month it’s looking promising because I’ve had a spike around what could have been implantation 5/6dpo it dipped again and now it’s rising which is similar to when I conceived in December.

This really is only a theory though I still use OPK’s I’ve not tried BBT yet.

Kona84 · 28/04/2020 21:47

@Juno231 have you changed anything that could cause lower heart rate? New medication, exercise routing etc?

Juno231 · 28/04/2020 21:57

@kona84 I'm on a diet - it's the only thing I can think of! Since Monday last week actually, which come to think of it was my last day of AF...

Kona84 · 28/04/2020 22:06

Maybe that is it?

SmileyT · 28/04/2020 22:40

This is my first full cycle trying for #1 after MC in March, we weren't trying before but now I'm obsessed 🙈

Before MC I was exercising 6 times a week but for the last month I've been a slug but actually started walking to and from work (about 45mins each way) last week so maybe that has affected things as I'd never been higher than 70 before this year.

@Kona84 that sounds promising, seems to be loads of BFPs on this thread so hopefully you are the next one 🤞

@Juno231 hoping you get your peak tomorrow and can start counting down to your BFP. My apps are predicting my peak will be between 1st and 5th hoping for the 1st 🤗

popcorndiva · 28/04/2020 22:46

This is my kind of thread. This is my chart. Currently estimated 3 days off ovulation. 2bp off my usual peak at ovulation.

SmileyT · 28/04/2020 23:03

@popcorndiva I'm about 5 days off ovulation so we are pretty close in our cycles. How long are your normal cycles?

popcorndiva · 28/04/2020 23:09

30/31 days. So could be Friday or Saturday ovulation. I always check my rhr in the morning and get excited when i see it has risen again.

SmileyT · 29/04/2020 07:20

@popcorndiva do you find that it rises the morning of ovulation or morning after (like BBT) I'm going to keep a close eye on it this month.

popcorndiva · 29/04/2020 07:39

I find it rises mid morning I usually notice it has gone up after breakfast

LV1987 · 29/04/2020 08:33

Hi, hope it's OK to jump in... I've been tracking my RHR since Feb. Last month I could make sense of it, this month I'm at a loss!

I started spotting 6th April, with full AF coming in on the 8th, so I'm either CD22 or 24, depending on whether I take the spotting as CD1 or not.

I've been using clearblue OPKs this month, and have had the dreaded flashy smiley everyday since April 19th. RHR spiked at 66bpm that day, which is the highest it tends to go, but no solid smiley! I also had EWCM the day after.

Looking at my graph, does it seem likely that I ovulated around the 19th but have managed to miss my LH surge on the clearblue OPKs? My RHR has been so up and down this month (lock down syndrome, I think!) that I am struggling to make much sense of it.

Thanks!
