I saw a thread about this back from 2019, a few people noticed their resting heart rate started to increase steadily after ovulation and they got there bfp. (Although people did report it rose then dropped before AF)

Just wondering if anyone on here has tracked and got a definite bfp?

I'm currently 10dpo and my heart rate has jumped from 60bpm to 67bpm since ovulation.

Not sure when my period is due as they are irregular.

Attached my chart too!

@Mrsi2020 I told my mum because she knows about my previous chemicals and I'd told her about the dr telling me to test early so I can keep track. Luckily I told her on the phone so I'm not with her because I'm sure she isn't doing good at keeping calm like I'm trying

SmileyT · 16/05/2020 12:26

@lavenderlove that's exactly what mine looked like the month I got pregnant, no dips just shot up 👌🏾

popcorndiva · 16/05/2020 12:45

My rhr is gearing up for ovulation now. Told DH we are dtd every day from Monday

Didn’t go as high as last month though.

DTD last 2 days but partner not able to complete so unless some guys got loose in the build up I will have to wait for the next cycle sorry if Tmi

AF got me today ladies, just like rhr predicted! Now I'll be twiddling my thumbs until I can see it rising again for ovulation :)

@Mrsi2020 I think early testing and opening up the tests should be banned for you next cycle 🤣. Plenty of people have stark white BFNs even at 13 DPO only to go on and have BFPs so don't discount it just yet. It's not a myth lol.

A08x · 16/05/2020 21:47

Hiya I’m so late to the chat (22 pages too late!) but I just got an Apple Watch the other day & found this thread really interesting! I’m about 3-4 DPO so not sure if I will have enough data to be able to check for this month.

From what I have read, your RHR increases post ovulation, then has a dip right before AF or potentially continues to increase if pregnant? Sorry if I have missed it when skimming through so far, does anything happen to it if implantation occurs?

Hope you’re all well xx

BabyDust13 · 16/05/2020 21:54

@A08x hey some people have an implantation dip as well but not everyone the others girls on here are more clued up than me so if you have any other questions they are really helpful

Best of luck

Mrsi2020 · 16/05/2020 22:33

@Juno231 lmao thanks ! I tested again today - another bfn. Cd30 today my cycles are usually 28days every time!

@A08x welcome! I don’t know much either. I’m 12dpo/ cd30 and this is my chart. I can’t tell you what it means yet tho lol!!! Xx

Mrsi2020 · 16/05/2020 22:35

@Juno231 sorry af got you. I hope you catch this cycle! X

lavenderlove · 17/05/2020 00:05

@BabyDust13 thanks I hope so! I'll probably wait until 22nd when I'm due af to test. I've been TTC for 2 years now so I've stopped early testing as it's always so depressing Sad

lavenderlove · 17/05/2020 00:06

@SmileyT thanks I really hope it's the same for me! congrats on your BFP

Mrsi2020 · 17/05/2020 08:33

Morning ladies, how are you all?

My rhr has shot up another 2 today. 12 dpo today and cd31 - I did another test - bfn . Wish af would come on if it’s coming .

Inc pics of test and chat for the lookers lol any opinions greatly welcomed xx

Mrsi2020 · 17/05/2020 10:04

Sorry to be a puke; does anyone know when my rhr would dip before af or what’s the usual pattern? Can’t find a straight answer anywhere :( cx

SmileyT · 17/05/2020 10:06

@Mrsi2020 unfortunately there is no hard and fast rule with RHR, AF started for me yesterday but RHR is still rising, I did have a drink last couple nights so might be why, last month the day before AF came it dropped slightly. I think it's more about finding your own normal xx

Mrsi2020 · 17/05/2020 10:15

@SmileyT thanks so much for replying , I’d say I’ll be joining you on the June bus soon! It’s good to know just ! Thanks xx

BabyDust13 · 17/05/2020 11:03

@Mrsi2020 I only have the last 2 months charts my RHR stayed up for a couple of days after AF started last month but I had a chemical and then in March it dropped right down on the day I got AF

LV1987 · 17/05/2020 11:21

Morning ladies! Quick question for those who AF has caught recently - what's your RHR looking like now that you're on? AF got me on Friday, which I've marked on my screenshot, and my RHR shot up straight afterwards. I was kind of expecting it to stay low while I was still bleeding, so would be interested to see if it's the same for others.

@SmileyT and @Juno231, I think AF got you both recently too?

SmileyT · 17/05/2020 11:59

@LV1987 ahh sorry to hear AF got you, I've attached my chart, arrows show first day of periods for April and May so last month it went down and this month it's gone up so god knows what is normal. Normally my RHR is highest around period, hits lowest point at ovulation then goes back up for AF 🤷🏾‍♀️

popcorndiva · 17/05/2020 13:27

My rhr always stays low for my AF ..starts rising a couple of days after stopping. But I think everyone is different. May take a couple of months to start to see your pattern

LV1987 · 17/05/2020 14:54

Thank you @SmileyT and @popcorndiva. I've looked back at my last two cycles, and it's stayed lower previously, and then crept up gradually up until ovulation once my period had stopped. I'm not sure why I'm surprised that it's not doing what I expected it too, it's not exactly been behaving this cycle 😂🙄

xoJellyBean · 17/05/2020 16:19

Just FYI, my heart rate didn't follow any of the dips and rises that they say should happen. I started to obsess over rhr and ovulation, implantation, af etc but it just adds to the stress. This month mine looked like I had an implantation dip which gave me more false hope in the tww than I would have. I started testing early only to be caught by af earlier than it was expected. I don't think this is a good way to track our cycles and a possible bfp, I know some of you had amazing charts so maybe there is a little truth in or somewhere but the fact is that no where near enough research has been put towards this theory and maybe there's a reason for it! Sorry for long post, just emotional as usual lol x

Mrsi2020 · 17/05/2020 16:50

@xoJellyBean aww hope you’re ok :(

Thanks everyone for replying. For me I’m not relying on it as such , I just find it interesting, I am also waiting on af lol I have no false hope, sorry I have no hope at all ! Interesting to see if there’s a pattern for me and if it’s diff when I’ve a bfp. It’s v easy to get obsessive. I have been pregnant 5 times and not once was when I was trying. Always planned but not trying like tracking , just letting it happen. I’ve never known when I ovulate or how long my LP is so honestly I should know better ! The only time I’ve tracked before was with me daughter 13 months we tried and nothing, decided to give it a bread, didn’t have sex at all my fertile week, had sex day after period ended so technically really low chance to conceive and caught !!

Baby dust to you all, I just like to pass the time, even if it makes it more torturous lol xx

Hayleylou89 · 17/05/2020 18:59

Hey girls, may i join? i recognise some of u from other threads ... im 6dpo today and ttc after losing my first baby girl at 23 weeks in feb :( I got my peak on cb connected on monday and think i ovulated tuesday as i had quite intense pains that day (although my natural cycles is saying weds)
Anyway.. i ordered and AVA that hasnt arrived in time so iv just thought ill borrow the hubbys samsung smart watch to track rhr... just done it now and it was 74bpm but do i need to do it same time everyday when i wake up and do my bbt maybe? Xx

popcorndiva · 17/05/2020 19:32

Hi @Hayleylou89 your rhr is usually calculated when you sleep so you need to wear it to bed for it to be accurate.

@xoJellyBean not everyone's rhr chart looks the same and I think I speak for the majority who are using it to understand our cycle and not relying on it. There has been research on this actually but as fitness trackers are now more common it's where we are starting to see patterns across women's cycles. Not completely infallible as it relies on people not drinking before bed, sleeping well, not stressing which is not easy to do. I am a geek though and love a graph

Juno231 · 17/05/2020 20:19

@LV1987 mine has gone up 2 but due to wine 😂. Still low at 61 though and in previous cycles my AF tends to be the lowest rhr all cycle and only starts creeping back up for ovulation.

Could you be having an implantation bleed maybe?
