Hi to anyone reading 👋🏻

This is a thread for anyone TTC / testing in February, after a miscarriage.

I’ll start off with intros! I’m 37 and my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks in December. I TTC straight afterwards, but AF found me, so here I still am on this crazy, frustrating, rollercoaster of a journey!

I joined the January thread after my miscarriage and it’s been amazing to go there and chat to other women who know how you feel.

So for anyone joining this, I’m so so sorry you find yourself here, but you’re in good company ❤️

Thanks everyone. 💐

I'm being cautiously optimistic until the next scan ... just feels like a lifetime away. 😩 I would love twins though. I've realised being pregnant is not for me so if I could just do it the once that is A.OK for me 🤣🤣

@FireflyGirl you are right and hopefully it is just an after effect of that. Either way I cant keep flying to the hospital everytime I have light bleeding as this could be a loooong 8 months 🤣 the 5th November is my Mums birthday. What a lovely date xx

@BS9790 holding your hand sweetheart but it would be anything. I read a post online the other day where a girl had such bad cramps until 6 weeks she had to take painkillers everyday 🤞 fingers crossed for you. Dont be worried if they can only see a sac without a yolk as it can take up to six weeks for the yolk to develop 💗

StephyRose · 27/02/2020 19:44

@Ibaadsmummy 💗💗

FireflyGirl · 27/02/2020 20:33

@BS9790 according to 'What to Expect When You're Expecting', normal hcg levels at 5 weeks are 19 to 7,340 (yep, I have typed those correctly) so 1600 is well within the normal range Flowers There's not much to see at 5+4 - the heartbeat doesn't usually start until 6 weeks - although they might be able to see a sac and fetal pole.

@Ibaadsmummy ❤️❤️

Thanks @StephyRose. I would feel compelled to have some sort of firework/rebellion themed name Grin

Fizzl · 27/02/2020 20:43

@StephyRose that is really exciting news! Would be a lovely happy ending for you if it was twins! Somebody I recently spoke with was currently pregnant with twins after an ERPC not too long before - she told me to be careful! 😂

I don't blame you for wanting to stick around a little longer. You're welcome to stay here as long as you want - we're all rooting for you and everyone else who has bfp's! I can't believe how many there are now on this thread. Definitely giving me positive vibes and making me more excited to try again!

BS9790 · 27/02/2020 20:59

How do you all work your dates out?
If I count back to last AF then I'd be 5 weeks and 1 day, but I have a slightly longer cycle (31/32 days) so using that info I think I'm actually less?! How does it work Confused

StephyRose · 27/02/2020 21:31

Oh girls ... just when I think it's gone, I have some more bleeding.

Will take a pregnancy test in the morning and hope for a nice strong dark line.

I cant see this having a happy ending. 😩😩

Ibaadsmummy · 27/02/2020 22:46

@stephyrose try not to stress hun I know it's hard and take one day at a time it's all we can do once we have conceived its completely out of hands I realised. Xxxx we r all here for you x

StephyRose · 28/02/2020 04:40

I've woken up and gone to the toilet. There was blood in my urine and I was bleeding quite heavy.

It's not meant for me this baby business.

AlviesMam · 28/02/2020 06:07

Guys I've retested.... I have a strong positive this morning !!

Is this good news?

Xx

Anny27 · 28/02/2020 06:15

@StephyRose 💗💗💗💗💗 awh lovely! When is your next appointment? even it it is heavy, theres every possibility that that one bean is still in there and the 2and sac didnt develop so it's being lost.

@AlviesMam great news :D

FireflyGirl · 28/02/2020 07:41

@StephyRose big hugs for you this morning. I agree with Anny27, it could be losing the second sac. Are you going to call the EPU again?

@AlviesMam that is definitely good news, a good strong line. Congratulations Flowers

Annie0425 · 28/02/2020 08:00

That’s a great line @AlviesMam... did you test using frer too to see the line progression? It’s a good dark line..so 🤞 and Congratulations!
@StephyRose don’t lose hope yet. It could be nothing or as Anny said, it could be just the one sac that didn’t develop... I am hopeful for you this time. But for your peace of mind, if the bleeding doesn’t stop, go to EPU and get it checked. Good luck and hope it turns out to be nothing
AF got me this morning...so I am out... I can focus on my holiday now! Because of my dates, I will probably not test in March at all...but will join the March thread anyways. How are you @Anny27? How many dpo are you now?
@BS9790 try an online due date calculator. You can change the length of the cycle and it gives you an indication of EDD and how far along you are based on that.

Leok83 · 28/02/2020 08:58

@StephyRose def get checked out at EPU. hopefully as the ladies said it’s the 2nd sac and the other is still going ok. xx

@AlviesMam that’s a great looking positive! Congrats!!

AlviesMam · 28/02/2020 09:24

I've not retested with a FRER. With clear blue being less sensitive than a FRER I am happy with the below progression with clear blue! 5 days apart!

Thinking of you @StephyRose and hope its all going to work out fine. Twins would be amazing xx

MilsCookie · 28/02/2020 18:24

Hey everyone - just catching up with the thread!

@StephyRose hope you're doing okay... I saw that your first scan saw twins! Hopefully your next scan will be able to let you know how they are both doing. Fingers crossed at least one (hopefully both of course!) is a healthy sticky bean. Sending lots of positive vibes your way!!

MilsCookie · 28/02/2020 18:27

and @AlviesMam - that's a very strong positive - congratulations! You must be over the moon. Sending lots of positive vibes your way too. And yours too @FireflyGirl - I think I missed your BFP! Congrats! Star

@Fizzl hey lovely! I'm doing okay thank you although AF arrived today so feeling a little bit down that I am now moving into cycle 3. I naively thought I'd catch straight away post mc! Is this your first month trying? What CD are you on? xxx

AlviesMam · 28/02/2020 18:59

@MilsCookie

It took me five months to conceive after my first miscarriage- I know it's disappointing every time AF comes and I shed a few tears every time with frustration but you're time is coming. It takes 90 days for eggs to form again I've read up while TTC, I am one of these women who read up on anything to try and change anything in my lifestyle!
You will get your BFP and all of these rainbow babies are going to be worth this hard agonising wait!!

I am trying the relaxed approach this time. What will be will be... 🙏🏼

Fizzl · 28/02/2020 19:53

Thinking of you @stephyrose hope you're doing ok and hopefully will be back with some positive news!

Hi @MilsCookie sorry didn't realise you had posted on this thread - I've just posted to you on the March thread and think answered most of those questions 😂 we will be cycle buddies this month so we will tackle (no pun intended!) March together 😁

AlviesMam · 28/02/2020 21:02

How are you doing @StephyRose xxx

StephyRose · 29/02/2020 09:47

@AlviesMam amazing news about your tests!! Wishing you all the best sweetheart!! Xx

StephyRose · 29/02/2020 09:52

Hi ladies,

Thank you for your lovely messages and thoughts, it honestly means so much. Dont know what I'd do without you all.

Unfortunately I had bad cramps all day yesterday, slight bleeding, and when I got up to go to the toilet this morning for a wee, I'd passed what looks like a clot.

I feel like it's a MC but the bleeding isnt continuous. Just nothing, then a little and then a random clot and then nothing again. Really dont know what to think. When I went to the hospital for a blood test Thursday, the measured my HCG which was good at 13416. I'm going for another today and I'll get the results on Monday.

I am not hopeful about this and I am just so so sad. My theory is if it looks like a MC and feels like a MC, that is probably what it is. And I feel like I am draining everyone around me. Stayed at my Mums last night to give DP a break. I'm biggest fear is there is something really wrong that cannot be fixed. It keeps me awake at night.

Sorry for the sh!tty post everyone! 🙈🙈

Hope everyone has a great Saturday. 💗💗

waitingformyturn · 29/02/2020 10:04

Advice needed please - we've been TTC since our miscarriage in July. It's been a tough journey. I've laid off the forums as I was trying to clear my mind of focusing on ttc 24/7. However I'm going out today with a friend so got a test this morning (10dpo) from home bargains. They have both come up straight away with a shadow where the bfp line would be but I don't know if it's indent or evap. I've had similar with the same style eBay tests before and been disappointed.

That’s so tough @StephyRose hope you get reassuring news on Monday. Not a shitty post at all, you need somewhere to say what you feel, it is hard to have to keep positive with people around you so this is the place to vent Flowers

MilsCookie · 29/02/2020 13:33

@AlviesMam thank you lovely. I know it can take a few months but I am so impatient haha. I have to remember that this is a marathon not a sprint! I am honestly so happy for you. After what you've been through you deserve this so much. Really praying that this pregnancy has a positive outcome and you get to hold your rainbow baby in 9 months time xxxxxxxxxx

@StephyRose I'm so sorry you're going through this hun. It must be complete torture having on and off bleeding and not having a clue what's going on. Fingers crossed you still have at least one healthy bean in there. Try to stay positive and let us know how you get on with your results on Monday - will be thinking of you xxxxxxxxxxx

@waitingformyturn hey lovely, so sorry for what you've been through. I can see lines on both - fingers crossed this is it for you! Sending positive vibes xxx
