TTC after miscarriage - February 2020

Hi to anyone reading 👋🏻

This is a thread for anyone TTC / testing in February, after a miscarriage.

I’ll start off with intros! I’m 37 and my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks in December. I TTC straight afterwards, but AF found me, so here I still am on this crazy, frustrating, rollercoaster of a journey!

I joined the January thread after my miscarriage and it’s been amazing to go there and chat to other women who know how you feel.

So for anyone joining this, I’m so so sorry you find yourself here, but you’re in good company ❤️

Thanks for the congratulations! I can't concentrate at work this morning!

@ChampooPapi we started TTC #2 last May, caught straight away but knew something wasn't right and it ended in mmc that lasted 3 months over summer and was very traumatic. We started TTC again in October and caught first time again, but that ended at 5+3, then had a break over Christmas and started TTC again last month. So 2 cycles, really.

Physically, I'm feeling fine, not really got any symptoms apart from twinging in my uterus. I'm trying to stop myself getting excited, because I know it's early and it could all go wrong, but then I keep thinking, why shouldn't it go right this time?

When is AF due, @Ibaadsmummy? (I'm on my phone, so can't easily refer back to the thread)

Sending you a big hug @StephyRose 💗 cramping and spotting is so common but can understand your anxiety xxx

@fireflygirl 3rd time lucky 💗💗

StephyRose · 24/02/2020 11:33

@Anny27 so cannot wait for your BFP. You deserve it so much. ❤🌈🌈🤞🍀

StephyRose · 24/02/2020 11:35

Ditto your sentiment @FireflyGirl ... who says it is going to go wrong? We have every chance it will go right. 💗

ChampooPapi · 24/02/2020 11:57

@StephyRose you have much more of a chance it'll go right! You must be so happy to have got that second line though, fantastic news. Keep us updated please @FireflyGirl as well on everything, you have been on a incredibly tough journey up to this point. I can understand wigging out, you must be very up and down but we are here every step 💜

AlviesMam · 24/02/2020 13:25

Having a tinge of pink in my discharge when wiping hard (sorry for tmi) nothing comes on tissue when wiping normal or nothing on underwear. I'm worried. Could this be something to do with my nest being a faint positive? no cramps or anything :(

AlviesMam · 24/02/2020 13:25

Test*

Leok83 · 24/02/2020 13:45

@FireflyGirl congratulations!! Such great news! I’m so happy to see all the BFPs coming in❤️ Ur attitude is great too..there’s no reason why this shouldn’t be a healthy pregnancy so hopefully you get to let urself be excited about it all!

@lbaadsmummy good luck testing again tomorrow! Hopefully the faint lines show up better for you.

Anny27 · 24/02/2020 13:49

@AlviesMam could you do first response test today and see what the line looks like 💗 handhold xx

FireflyGirl · 24/02/2020 14:13

@AlviesMam if you've just had the one faint test, try not to worry (I know, kettle calling pot over here!). There's a number of reasons, and they're not all bad.

Could be:

  • You ovulated late.
  • Your urine was dilute.
  • The control line on those tests doesn't go particularly dark.

With my CP the lines were incredibly faint, and didn't get any darker over the course of a week.

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 15:53

I'm not sure when AF due as mc on 30th jan so not had af yet but my cycle is usually 25 days so if I classed day 1 as day of mc it would be today but I'm guessing I'm gonna be a week late then usual one so unsure really

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 15:54

I just hate the unknown

Anny27 · 24/02/2020 15:59

@Ibaadsmummy I was 2 weeks late for my first AF xx

AlviesMam · 24/02/2020 17:19

@FireflyGirl
Great news just seen this 🥰🥰🥰
Xxxx

shhhhs · 24/02/2020 17:23

@ibaadsmummy had you had a negative test since MC? (Sorry if you've already said this) if not, ask your GP to do a blood test to put your mind at rest

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 17:48

I already had a negetive test within week n half as mc at 6 weeks and levels was already low. On 16th had follow up scan they also confirmed a negetive test. Did a boots digital before work it said not pregnant had a second so used it after work 6 hours later it said pregnant tried to attach pic buy pic posts wont load dont know why. But anyways now I'm so confused regret testing early was ment to test Saturday as I predicted period would be a week later as most people who mc at 6 weeks said they was a week later

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 17:49

I'm wasnt to worried about conceiving my worry and axiety is having a miscarry finding put early means waiting longer before 12 weeks

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 17:52

I'm gonna wait till Saturday and test again maybe but I'm impatient so probably test repeatedly so il be soo poor soon... luckily I just realised I have another follow up scan on sunday so hopefully they can shed some light on what's happening inside. So scared to think I might have caught it again right away...have I increased my chances of a mc by doing this I'm so worried now. If I mc il have to go through what I went through this month all over again and delay having my babbu all over again.

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 17:53

Anyways so sorry for bombing the thread with repeated message I'm not gonna tell any1 until 12 weeks not even oh so feeling abit alone

shhhhs · 24/02/2020 18:04

@ibaadsmummy if you had a negative test following MC and are now having positives that's great! Hopefully your scan on Sunday can help settle your nerves. Not telling anyone until 12 weeks is a big load for you to carry alone, I'm sure you're partner would want to support you with that ❤️

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 18:09

I'm scared if I mc again il make every1 sad again il tell my 2 year old he cant talk hey so he wont tell any1 haha

Whiffle77 · 24/02/2020 18:18

Congratulations @FireflyGirl lots of positives this week!
@Ibaadsmummy I really think you should tell your OH, he will want to support you and It's not fair to do it on your own!

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 18:35

@Wiffle77 I know it right il test a few more time over the week if they stay positive will do a week I dictator clearblue on sat and tell hi by after scan on sunday xxx please pray for me girls that it's a good one this time xx il wait the week incase it's a chemical or something x

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 18:35

Ment tell hubby not hi on sunday after scan if I'm still positive x

AlviesMam · 25/02/2020 06:54

Darker than clear blue but worried it's not strong enough for now being 6 days late?
No cramps and just the very light pink discharge.

Don't know what to think and don't want to now get too excited x
