TTC after miscarriage - February 2020

Hi to anyone reading 👋🏻

This is a thread for anyone TTC / testing in February, after a miscarriage.

I’ll start off with intros! I’m 37 and my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks in December. I TTC straight afterwards, but AF found me, so here I still am on this crazy, frustrating, rollercoaster of a journey!

I joined the January thread after my miscarriage and it’s been amazing to go there and chat to other women who know how you feel.

So for anyone joining this, I’m so so sorry you find yourself here, but you’re in good company ❤️

Yayyyyyyyyy congrats @AlviesMam!!!! I totally get feeling anxious but it is definitely a positive test. Maybe try different brands of tests or test again this afternoon after holding your wee for a few hours? SO happy for you!!

Hey @Fizzl - glad I spotted you'd changed your name!! Hope you're doing well! xx

ChampooPapi · 23/02/2020 16:34

@AlviesMam oh my god! This is truly the best thing I have ever seen on mumsnet. You have been through so much I just can't even put into writing how happy I am for you getting your bfp. Absolutely everything crossed this sticks and a heathy pregnancy follows. This has made my weekend ♥️🌈✨👣

ChampooPapi · 23/02/2020 16:35

Waves @MilsCookie @Michette and @Anny27 💜

ChampooPapi · 23/02/2020 16:36

Big virtual wave to you @Fizzl too ♥️

AlviesMam · 23/02/2020 16:52

Aww thanks everyone
And thanks @ChampooPapi your words mean a lot ❤️❤️
I just feel unsettled that it's a faint line so hoping I'm going to be seeing a darker line when I retest Tuesday 🙏🏼 xxxx

TerribleImagination · 23/02/2020 18:14

@AlviesMam Massive congrats to you lovey! Also to @StephyRose and @BS9790! It’s amazing to see the BFP’s popping up on here ❤️ Crossing everything for you all with these pregnancies, may they be trouble free with rainbows at the end ❤️🌈

My Mumsnet knowledge is pretty basic, is there anywhere of finding out what a specific person has written on a thread without having to go through everything? It's hard to keep track of everyone's background stories but when I want to find out about people I have to go through the whole chat, and no one has time for that! Just checking to see if I'm missing a trick?

Anny27 · 23/02/2020 18:39

@shhhhs if you find a way I would love to know!

Yayyy so many bfps @bs9790 @AlviesMam @StephyRose 💗💗💗

@BS9790 thanks for your run down of what you changed up :D

@ChampooPapi see you on the march thread 💗💗

FireflyGirl · 23/02/2020 19:42

@shhhhs, if you're on PC you can ctrl+F and type in the username, that should show you their posts/posts where they're referred to.

shhhhs · 23/02/2020 19:53

@fireflygirl I only use my phone really but good to know! I will definitely have a look on the computer at some point. Thanks lovely.

ChampooPapi · 23/02/2020 20:11

@Anny27 I'll be there 🤗♥️

Leok83 · 23/02/2020 22:23

Wow haven’t been on here for couple days and now I see 2 more BFPs!! So encouraging!!

Congratulations @StephyRose and @AlviesMam! Wishing you both all the best for the months ahead 😊!xx

FireflyGirl · 23/02/2020 23:15

My cramps last week have turned into 'twinges' when I sneeze or turn over in bed, which is what happened with both of my last two (unsuccessful) pregnancies. I'm due AF on Tuesday, but going to test tomorrow I think, even though I never get a positive before missed AF (even with DS, I was about 4 days late, despite using the 10 miu tests).

StephyRose · 24/02/2020 06:42

Thank you lovely people for all your congratulations. 💗💙👶🏼🌈 And for calming my nerves about the discharge. I got a bit more and a little spotting but it has gone now and I did a test on Sunday morning just to check and line still a bright vivid pink 🤞🤞

Despite all the BFPs with the line getting increasingly darker on each one, I am still a nervous wreck. Have worked out mid-April will put me at the 12 week mark and it feels lifetime away.

I am wiping myself every 20 mins just to check ... I will give myself thrush at this rate! 🤣 Feel so excited but so so anxious at the same time.

I really hope this is our rainbow. 🌈🌈

Good luck to everyone testing soon, cant wait to see some more BFP's - I know there are amongst us somewhere! 😋💗

Welcome all newbies, sorry to find you here but this is a very safe and caring space ❤❤

Fizzl · 24/02/2020 07:47

Ah @StephyRose you're bound to be nervous. I think it's totally normal after our experiences - I actually feel quite envious of people now who will get positive tests and just feel excitement. I know that although I will be excited, I'm also going to be terrified!

I also wouldn't worry (easier said than done I know!) about the spotting, totally normal in early pregnancy and probably just implantation.

Hi @ChampooPapi and @milscookie Glad to see you popping back again! I'm doing well, we're finally almost back to ttc so that will give me something new to obsess about soon no doubt 😂 how are you doing?

Michette · 24/02/2020 09:16

Good luck testing @FireflyGirl x

Michette · 24/02/2020 09:17

Thanks @BS9790 for your schedule. All noted! And will probably start having smoothies more often :)

FireflyGirl · 24/02/2020 10:06

Thanks @Michette - got a bfp.

I'm tentatively excited, because it's a good line for the day before AF is due, but as I have short cycles I'm only 3+5, so still got a way to go!

This seems to be the lucky thread, fingers crossed for lots more BFPs this week 🤞

@FireflyGirl tentative congratulations , this is a lucky thread! How long were you trying again since your loss? How are you feeling?! 🌈♥️

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 10:16

I did a stupid thing used first morning urine to do a boots strip and a clear blue not digital n in sure I saw really really faint on both so used my one digital I had but squeezed abit more pee out of myself for that one and nothing not pregnant.....problem is it wont same pee so could that mean I might be pregnant even though digital said no

Michette · 24/02/2020 10:21

Tentative congrats @FireflyGirl 👍🏻🥳
Hope it sticks :)
But it looks good!!!!!!

Anny27 · 24/02/2020 10:24

Congratulations @FireflyGirl 💗

@Ibaadsmummy test again in the morning - digitalis are mor sensitive :)

Anny27 · 24/02/2020 10:24

Less sensitive I meant* meaning they need more hcg to show positivw

Ibaadsmummy · 24/02/2020 10:26

@Anny27 thanks I never knew that xxx feeling anxious bloody mc makes you stressed before and after bfp xx

StephyRose · 24/02/2020 10:47

Congratulations @FireflyGirl, wonderful news!! 🎉🌈 How are you feeling?

Thank you @Fizzl. I'm having it again this morning and I panicked at work to the point where i was almost shaking ... but I have to be rational. My cramping is slight, the spotting is very minimal .... to a certain extent, this is normal.

But you are right, it's so bloody hard but I need to remember to feel grateful too. 💗 Can't wait for your BFP, I feel it coming ...... 💗💗 xx
