TTC after miscarriage - February 2020

Hi to anyone reading 👋🏻

This is a thread for anyone TTC / testing in February, after a miscarriage.

I’ll start off with intros! I’m 37 and my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks in December. I TTC straight afterwards, but AF found me, so here I still am on this crazy, frustrating, rollercoaster of a journey!

I joined the January thread after my miscarriage and it’s been amazing to go there and chat to other women who know how you feel.

So for anyone joining this, I’m so so sorry you find yourself here, but you’re in good company ❤️

Wow @StephyRose congratulations! Gives me hope to see these positive stories!

Michette · 22/02/2020 18:20

@BS9790 ahhhh good to see updates!!

Happy for you - cycle buddy 😌

@StephyRose congrats!!!!!!! 🥳
The discharge doesn’t look to worrying.

Hope to join both of you soon in the BFP club 😄

Michette · 22/02/2020 18:21

I mean obviously next month as today 14dpo was BFN and AF due tomorrow

BS9790 · 22/02/2020 19:14

@michette how are you feeling? Really hope you get that bfp soon, I'll keep my eye out for your news!!! Xxx

@StephyRose congratulations on your bfp, that's such a good line... Mine still aren't that dark! I agree I don't think the discharge looks too worrying.. Xx

MilsCookie · 22/02/2020 21:10

Ahhhhhh @StephyRose how amazing! I'm so happy for you! It gives me a lot of hope seeing these BFPs. Did you have any symptoms in your tww? Good luck and I really hope this is a sticky bean for you! xxxxxx
P.s. I don't think you need to worry about that cm but I totally get feeling anxious. Hopefully with every milestone you reach that fear will fade xx

AlviesMam · 23/02/2020 07:13

Guys is this positive?
The line came up within 20 seconds but it's very faint. I'm four days late why would it be faint?

Thanks in advance!
X

@alviesmam definitely looks positive!!! How exciting!!! Do you know for sure when you ovulated? Could be faint if you ovulated slightly later than you thought xx

AlviesMam · 23/02/2020 07:24

@shhhhs don't have a clue when I ovulated!! Since my still birth my cycles have been 28/29 days so I just DTD when the FLO app told me too! I am four days late but worried why it's so faint 😔 xx

shhhhs · 23/02/2020 07:41

@alviesmam it's so natural to worry ❤️ but it definitely looks positive and that's amazing. Maybe give the doctor a call and ask for a blood test to confirm correct levels, no doubt they would do that following your previously awful experience

Anny27 · 23/02/2020 07:46

Congratulations lovely!!!!
It looks positive @AlviesMam - I think they say to read it within 10 minutes so perhaps get another and test again?

Anny27 · 23/02/2020 07:46

Oh I misread and thought you said the line came up within 20 minutes!!!! Then yes its positive 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 @AlviesMam

Ibaadsmummy · 23/02/2020 08:23

Yeyyyy congratulations xx

Fizzl · 23/02/2020 08:32

Ah congratulations @stephyrose and @AlviesMam!! I'm so pleased we're finally starting to see some BFPs on these threads.

Good luck to you both and in the nicest way possible I'm so glad that you hopefully won't be joining us on the March thread. But please let us know how you're getting on. I feel strangely invested in everyone's pregnancies now after the journey we've been on over the past few months.

Wishing you both all the luck in the world! I'm hoping we will all start joining you on pregnancy threads instead soon.

P.s it's goldenbauble I've had a name change as it was too festive 😂

AlviesMam · 23/02/2020 08:56

I've always had strong positives on the day of a missed period (had two losses) so with me being four days late and getting a faint negative does this mean I possibly ovulated later? I'm getting all the pregnancy signs but I really just don't believe it?! X

AlviesMam · 23/02/2020 08:58

Faint positive **

FireflyGirl · 23/02/2020 10:15

@AlviesMam congratulations, that is absolutely positive Flowers (I struggle to see a lot of the lines on here, if I can see it, it's a good one - particularly as you say it came straight up!

You definitely could have ovulated late.

I know we're all very cautious on here, but I have everything crossed for you Flowers

Also congratulations to @StephyRose Flowers

Here's to sticky beans all around!!

Michette · 23/02/2020 10:16

@AlviesMam it looks positive!!
I would repeat tomo morning but definitely promising :)

Annie0425 · 23/02/2020 10:17

Congratulations @StephyRose. You have a very strong positive... so try and relax!! I know easier said than done... but hopefully as the weeks pass, it’ll get better.
Congrats @AlviesMam. It’s a definite positive. If you don’t know when you ovulated, may be it was later than you thought...the apps predict based on past data...but after MC cycles usually vary, so the predictions might not be as accurate. I second asking for blood tests.
Good luck both!

Sparkl · 23/02/2020 11:06

Another positive! We’re making progress 😉

Congratulations @AlviesMam really hope this is it for you!

Best of luck to all you ladies, you deserve it

Michette · 23/02/2020 11:17

@BS9790 i am ok. AF arrived this morning as predicted...

Decided to not use preseed for March... and perhaps take a little break before fertile window.

How did you time DTD in February?
Any tips??? 😄

Whiffle77 · 23/02/2020 11:32

Congrats @AlviesMam great to see some good news!
I'm feeling low today. Think fertile window was distracting me, and now that's over I dont have anything to cling on to. I feel very lonely too as a few of my friends are in bad places too, so I dont really feel I have anyone to talk to other than my OH (who luckily is brilliant). My sleep pattern is awful too, so I just feel really bleurgh.

shhhhs · 23/02/2020 12:07

@whiffle77 can relate to your previous post so so much. Hope you feel better soon ❤️ are you in ttw now?

Vio112 · 23/02/2020 12:37

Please can I join? I had a miscarriage at 7.2weeks in November and it's taken until now to feel ready to start trying again. Currently in my fertile window so fingers crossed! I managed to get pregnant the first time really quickly but I'm not taking for granted that happening again... Feeling anxious about it taking a long time to get pregnant and then not being able to keep the pregnancy going 😔

Whiffle77 · 23/02/2020 12:54

Thanks @shhhhs hope you feel better soon too. I am yes, which feels a very different place to be in than it was before! A whole new desperation
Hi @Vio112 sorry to see you here - I think most of us are feeling the same

BS9790 · 23/02/2020 13:07

@Michette I used the clear blue digital ovulation tests to detect ovulation.
I got my first flashy smiley on Feb 1st, but didn't get peak fertility until Feb 8th- this is the day I ovulated as I also got a peak on a cheapy opk this day, and barely a line on cheapy opk on the Sunday.

I've attached my screen grab from my app, love hearts are days we DTD, purple oval is ovulation day.

We didn't use any preseed or similar, I laid in bed with a cushion under my hips for 15 mins after! No longer as was worried about getting another uti (had one in Jan)

I cut down to no more than 1 coffee a day, some days none. And was eating more fruit/drinking smoothies in a bid to be healthier!! After my MC in Dec I swapped from taking folic acid tabs to taking the pregnacare trying to concieve tabs and had hubby on the men's version! Thought a few extra vitamins wouldn't go a miss
