TTC after miscarriage - February 2020

Hi to anyone reading 👋🏻

This is a thread for anyone TTC / testing in February, after a miscarriage.

I’ll start off with intros! I’m 37 and my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks in December. I TTC straight afterwards, but AF found me, so here I still am on this crazy, frustrating, rollercoaster of a journey!

I joined the January thread after my miscarriage and it’s been amazing to go there and chat to other women who know how you feel.

So for anyone joining this, I’m so so sorry you find yourself here, but you’re in good company ❤️

@anny27 yay finally!! Welcome to the 2ww! Try not to be too stressed. When will you test? I don’t think this is my month as we didn’t actively try around the ovulation time...so will only test if AF is late by a few days...but hopefully this is your month! 🤞
@Kona84 CD29 one looks positive...So get on with dtd!!
@Michette try and wait until after AF is due to test- I know easier said than done...but by then you will almost definitely know...don’t worry about not having any symptoms..it’s too early for any symptoms really...equally disappearing cramps may be a sign? 🤞and good luck!
I am really hoping for a few BFPs here this month xx

@BS9790 A faint line is very much promising, congrats! When your pregnancy is going to be confirmed would you tell us if you seem to have some early pregnancy symptoms that you noticed also in the previous pregnancy? Also have you been taking your bbt?

@cometa08 if this is my bfp then so far symptoms are completely different to last time...even at this early stage.
Haven't been tracking bbt.

Hi all,

I'm currently going through a miscarriage, would have been 6 weeks tomorrow.

I feel so sad and like I've let everyone down; really struggling. Hoping to get back to ttc as soon as I get a negative test and the bleeding stops. Hope it happens quickly for us all xx

@Annie0425 had a discussion with dp and we decided to do a frer tomo morning if we still want to. And then whatever result wait for AF on sunday...

@Michette exciting! I'm starting to get itchy testing trigger finger, but only 8 days po (give or take a few days either side) so going to hold out for the week at least.

@champoopapi I know the feeling but the dreaded bfn too 😑

@Michette we'll get there, and we will def get there this year, that we can say for certain. I saw an old friend today by chance and she has just been referred to ivf so another reminder that I'm only on my 4th cycle since the miscarriage, am only 32 and have been pregnant before , so I need to count my blessings every day.

Tuesday is always a funny one isn't it though, Mondays feel like a fresh start and by Tuesday afternoon I can start to spiral a bit. Really good luck up my bum seeing that lovely woman, poor thing has had it very hard as had a late loss also last year.

There are so many of us women carrying this around with us, it's incredible. We are incredible ♥️

@Michette good team decision 😊. You’ll be 11dpo so you might be able to see it. But don’t get disheartened if it’s BFN as it’s still too early! Good luck

@savethewales, I really feel for you, it's just the worst. I was in your position about 6 weeks ago now and there is nothing to be said to make it better at the time. 6 weeks on though I'm feeling better and I'm sure you will be too, just do what you need to do to keep yourself going ❤️

I'm now CD12 in first proper cycle since MC. Starting OPK today, and hoping they are positive in the next few days!

@shhhhs best of luck with your OPK's, hopefully they turn positive asap. I am hoping this is over fairly quickly so I can start to look forward and try again

@savethewales, thank you! I miscarriaged at 8 weeks and had negative PG test about 2.5/3 weeks later and period restart within 28 days, so for me it was quite quick (although didn't feel it at the time). Hopefully things settle for you quickly too.

@Annie0425 yeah it was definitely my peak, tested just now and it’s fading.
Gonna do the deed tonight and hope for best.

@savethewales I miscarried on the 22nd (it started) I had a week of hope after the first scan at the EPU as it was just 1mm too small for them to say for sure it was a miscarriage. I had to go back one week later and the fetus was still there but was above my cervix and the sac had broken down.
It took another week my to pass the material and then my HCC levels pretty much went over night. I was 8 weeks at the time of the miscarriage. I counted the first day of bleeding as a period on my Ovia app. Cd1 I have now ovulated on day 29. I was dreading having to wait for another period before I would ovulate again so I am happy I’ve spotted it.

@savethewales so sorry you are going through Mc too. It’s such a horrible time and just remember you haven’t let anyone down, unfortunately MC is way too common and completely out of our control, but nobodies fault. 💐xx

So I did another ovulation test this morning to see how faint the line would be.
But it’s the darkest one yet. This is definitely my peak. Unfortunately we didn’t DTD last night due to tiredness so happy we have another chance tonight

I just did a test and got a bfn so that's a bit of a knock back as I was beginning to convince myself. But also there's no sign of af so I suppose I could still have a little hope. I'm not very good at the waiting game 🙈. Xx

Tested again this morning, 11dpo. It's still extremely faint, but it is darker than yesterdays.
So terrified!
