Hi to anyone reading 👋🏻

This is a thread for anyone TTC / testing in February, after a miscarriage.

I’ll start off with intros! I’m 37 and my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks in December. I TTC straight afterwards, but AF found me, so here I still am on this crazy, frustrating, rollercoaster of a journey!

I joined the January thread after my miscarriage and it’s been amazing to go there and chat to other women who know how you feel.

So for anyone joining this, I’m so so sorry you find yourself here, but you’re in good company ❤️

How long would everyone leave it to test again? I last tested yesterday evening. I have had very sensitive boobs but apart from that no symptoms really. I'm just getting into that crazy phase as I thought I'd already done the TWW Confused. We've DTD quite a lot this month so I'm keeping everything crossed but who knows. Thank you xx

clarewithoutani · 17/02/2020 19:36

BFN yesterday and feel like I'm invisible at home this evening so hitting the prosecco 🥂

ChampooPapi · 17/02/2020 19:41

@clarewithoutani good for you! Go for it, it hard enough isn't it and Cor blimy I felt better swilling a few wines and watching some truly deliciously crap telly occasionally.

I hangover certainly takes your mind off conception and pregnancy as well 😆, then you kind of spend the next week getting back to good health and more time has passed without too much obsessing.

Cheers 😄

I'm joining the club and having a gin, after all it is half term 😂 xx

But late to the group. Hope it9s ok to tag on. Have had a bit of a week. Started to miscarry on Wednesday and it's been a slow process. It was early days about 6weeks but after 3years plus of trying and an ivf cycle it's first time we'd seen a positive test so had gotten our hopes up. But wasn't to be feeling bit fed up.
Surprised how many people there are on this group, sorry to read all of the difficult situations you find yourself in. xx

Cometa08 · 17/02/2020 21:59

@Leok83 Thank you for your insight. Anyway not even my second cycle after the miscarriage has been completely back to normal I ovulated the 15th day instead of the usual 13th. My period was late a couple of days and I thought maybe I was pregnant again, hoping that maybe we are really more fertile after a miscarriage. So now I'm back to start in this sadistic game called conception Sad

Kona84 · 17/02/2020 22:01

Oh my god I think I’m heading towards my first ovulation since miscarrying on the 22/01 today is CD28 based on 1 at miscarriage bleed.
I got my first negative pregnancy test a few days ago so I’m fairly sure this is a positive LH I’ll post some photos below for context.
My only worry is that the latest positive is on a different brand than I normally use. I previously used boots strips.
I now have some easyathome strips, are these more sensitive?
The first two photos are my negative HCG and my Negative LH on 14/2

The photos below are my Lh from yesterday approx 12 noon on the boots strip and my LH today at 9pm. Is it normal to see such a leap? (The one with 3 tests is the boots tests)

@Bestofyou1982 so sorry for your loss.

Michette · 17/02/2020 22:08

@kona84 i dont think these are positive yet.
But it’s progressing!
Also try to test with same batch same tests as different tests react differently

Kona84 · 17/02/2020 22:11

@michette yeah that’s what’s putting me off believing that i am approaching ovulation.
I wish I’d kept the physical tests from the last few days so I could compare other than on my phone

Michette · 18/02/2020 07:30

@Kona84 honestly the physical tests aren’t a good way to compare as they dry and change colour or lose dye.
Best is to take a clear picture with light after 10min of doing the test or until the maximum time to read it..

Kona84 · 18/02/2020 07:53

I took another this morning and scanned it with the glow app and the Premom app and both said high.
I reckon it will probably peak today at some point. I don’t want to test at work so will test later this evening.
It cycle day 29 for me since miscarriage started.

I am officially 1dpo yippee!!

I never got a proper positive on my opk however it got very close to positive. Even though I tested several times a day. Same thing happened the cycle I feel pregnant, I never got a true positive so perhaps my LH surge isnt as high as most people or perhaps urine was diluted

@kona84 keep on testing and fingers crossed it happens soon

@Michette how are you feeling?

Is anyone due AF/bfp soon??

Ljm0101 · 18/02/2020 08:37

@Anny27 I'm very tempted to do another test I'm now 6 days "late" if it was a normal cycle. I just don't want to be disappointed, I'm trying to hold out as long as I can. Xx

BS9790 · 18/02/2020 09:04

I'm 10dpo... Tested this morning and got a very faint line. DH saw it straight away as well so it's not my line eyes!

Not getting ahead of myself just yet, will test again tomorrow and see. Fingers crossed...

Ljm0101 · 18/02/2020 09:07

That's amazing news @BS9790
My problem is I have no idea when I ovulated. I might just buy some cheapies and do one in the morning, I'm going crazy. Xx

Anny27 · 18/02/2020 09:15

@BS9790 ahhhh exciting! Do you have a pic? Really hope this sticks, congratulations lovely!!

@Ljm0101 my first cycle was a week and a half longer but some peoples arrive on time so definitley test!

Michette · 18/02/2020 09:20

@BS9790 that’s a good start! Faint defo better than bfn... let’s hope it progresses for a bfp later this week! Fingers crossed x

@anny27 finally!!!!!!! Try to stay sane in the tww :)

@Kona84 from the pic it looks positive (test as dark as control) but you will see better tonight!!!

Michette · 18/02/2020 09:23

@Anny27 10 dpo here just like @BS9790 but haven’t tested...
Don’t feel pregnant at all and really scared now of the bfn and then the wait to AF.
Ofc i so desperately want to know but only want to know if it’s positive Grin

Not much to spot in terms of symptoms, the small period cramps or sharp pains have completely disappeared. Boobs swollen but that’s also normal before AF (which is due Sunday)

Michette · 18/02/2020 09:24

@BS9790 what symptoms are you having rn??

BS9790 · 18/02/2020 09:50

Thanks ladies. So nervous.

@Michette I felt a bit sick at the weekend, but I think that was tiredness from my work residential and up early for the airport!

Last night I had a small cider, and when I got back and into bed I felt like I'd been on a massive drinking session and thought I was going to be sick.

I've had a few little twinges in my right pelvic area, but apart from that nothing. I was convinced this wasn't our month.

I'm only testing because I'm on holiday and have limited myself to one drink a day, but would stop that as soon as I got a bfp x

Michette · 18/02/2020 09:54

Aww good that you tested!!!!!
No more cider (even small) for now 😄
@bs9790

Ok so not much symptoms is not necessarily a bfn... maybe i will test tomo morning then 😅

BS9790 · 18/02/2020 10:08

@Anny27 I do have a picture, but you can't really see anything on it. I'm not posting it you'll think I'm crazy... Haha.

Ill test again tomorrow and hopefully see some progression!!

Leok83 · 18/02/2020 10:20

@BS9790 yay congrats!!!
