Despite my TTC last month, it resulted in my AF arriving Christmas Day (deep joy!) it's round 2 this month! I'm due to ovulate on Monday (6th) so anyone else wanna join me, with the overthinking, being excessively paranoid, mystery pregnancy signs and taking PT's when you know you shouldn't be! 🤣🤣
Feel free to jump on the crazy train with me!

I've still got my OPK and spare sticks just in case my pregnancy doesn't go to Nolan and I have to try again! Optimistic I know! 😝

After reading a fair few posts on the pregnancy section of this site, I've decided to stay clear! Everyone is so scared and terrified and I don't think I can read anymore otherwise I think I'll be living on edge for the next 9 months and end up having a break down!
I'm going with ignorance is bliss! 😝

I'm going with ignorance is bliss!

Yeah, generally. The list of things not to eat or do is pretty huge if you go by the American standards, much smaller by the NHS. Obviously, as an anxiety sufferer, I avoided everything the Americans say to avoid and then panicked after once gorging on liquorice, not realising it was advised against! Really not worth the worry. Just do your kegels, don't drink, smoke or do drugs and don't overeat any particular thing. Oh, and paracetamol may be linked to infertility in your baby, so use sparingly. The jury is still out on that though and the official party line is that it's fine.

FarmerWantsABaby · 24/01/2020 21:33

@Ginge35 stay with us! You're not allowed to leave 😂
I've hit my BBT spike today, meaning that I have ovulated but I went to bed last night in a full set of long sleeve/long legged pyjamas and I usually sleep basically naked (tmi, don't care 😂). So the irrational part of me is skeptical that maybe the rise is because I was genuinely warmer this morning 😂 no CM at all today either 🤔 I'll see if I can upload my chart...

Ginge35 · 24/01/2020 21:35

It's a mind field! I will check what I can and cannot eat and drugs wise (strictly over the counter of course!) but other than that I'm just gonna ignore the rest as it's too much information and too much anxiety for me to deal with! 🤪🤪

FarmerWantsABaby · 24/01/2020 21:44

This is my chart with today's spike. Any thoughts from any fellow BBT'ers? 😬

BecauseReasons · 24/01/2020 22:48

I dunno @Ginge35, I tried that but then kept finding out things that I'd been doing were potentially bad (long, hot baths etc) and panicking. Eventually I just decided to Google everything and go from there. If you're planning not to know, I'd advise you to stay off both Mumsnet and Google.

Goldie0109 · 25/01/2020 08:14

@FarmerWantsABaby Looks like an ovulation spike to me! I don't think being in a warmer environment would send you over the control line. Also... you've been busy!! 😂

FarmerWantsABaby · 25/01/2020 10:03

@Ginge35 temperature right back down below the control line today so I'm not sure 😢🤯
Yes very busy 😂 I'm taking no chances this month! DH is loving himself.

Ginge35 · 25/01/2020 17:58

@FarmerWantsABaby that's a bit pants, but clearly you've been busy so you might have cracked it this time! 🤞
@BecauseReasons I'm going to try not to look on the sites and terrify myself! 😝
Anyone else who has gotten a BFP feel absolutely normal? I have the odd cramp and yesterday I had 5 minutes of feeling like I was going to throw up! Other than that nothing! Not bleeding or spotting of any kind, so far, just normal!
I feel like my body is leading me into a false sense of security! 😝

OP posts:
FarmerWantsABaby · 26/01/2020 10:52

@Ginge35 still dropping temp today, no CM, I'm beginning to wonder if I'm ovulating at all 😩 still getting that stupid fucking blinky smiley face on CB OPK. Next person who smiles at me will suffer 😂
More bloods on 29th to check if ovulation took place this month. Hopefully it will give me peace of mind or even help us decide our next steps. Starting to get very frustrated and down these days. Continued photos and updates every day from my best friend who's currently 5 months pregnant. Which breaks my heart!
Then I come on this thread and look at all your lovely BFP stories and it gives me hope! 🤞🏻

Ginge35 · 26/01/2020 16:58

Hopefully the blood tests will give you some answers so, as you said, you know what your next steps will be.
Keep us posted for sure!
I have my doctors appointment on Tuesday and I think it's safe to say that I've never been excited to go see my doctor until now! Haha! 😂😂

@FarmerWantsABaby I hope you get hopefully results. I'm also a farmers wife! (Assuming you are by your name?) I'm in a similar situation as you.

FarmerWantsABaby · 26/01/2020 17:26

Thanks ladies ❤️ @Ginge35 I hope you have a lovely appointment and it's full of joy and happiness! 🥰
I've just took my 162938627229 OneStep OPK. Are they shit? Anyone ever tried this brand? I have NEVER had a second line. Not even a faint one. I'm convinced I'm not ovulating now.

FarmerWantsABaby · 26/01/2020 17:33

Actually CM is egg white consistency today. Yet BBT dropped nearly 2 degrees C from Friday. Arghh I'm so confused 😩

at least DH is getting another hit at this piece of ass tonight 😂 (well not ass exactly.....)

Geauxtigers · 26/01/2020 17:55

Yea @farmerwantsababy you're not supposed to dispose of batteries in normal waste. Lol

FarmerWantsABaby · 26/01/2020 17:58
  • looks around the room awkwardly......

@Geauxtigers wow I have a lot to learn when it comes to adulting. I'm 27. I've built a house. Yet I did not know this...🧐

BecauseReasons · 27/01/2020 05:51

Well, shit.

Shock

Yaaaaaaaassssss @BecauseReasons CONGRATULATIONS!!!! ❤️❤️❤️🥰❤️🥰🥰🥰 how do you feel!

OP posts:
FarmerWantsABaby · 27/01/2020 08:22

Amazing @BecauseReasons !!!!! Are you surprised? Or were you expecting that?
I'm so happy for you!!!
My temps back down again so I highly doubt I even ovulated this month 😬 think I'm going to have a whole bottle of wine one to myself tonight to drown my sorrows and to celebrate for all you lovely BFP ladies lol

BecauseReasons · 27/01/2020 12:19

I'm genuinely stunned. Was not expecting it at all- still haven't had an AF since birth so had convinced myself it would take ages, plus I wasn't actually trying to DTD very regularly. I have been routinely testing just in case but was thoroughly stunned and did a double-take. Then was filled with a sense of, 'What have I done???' It's still not sunk in. Going to do a digital tomorrow to get some idea of weeks.

newmum2020 · 27/01/2020 17:19

@BecauseReasons congratulations that's fab news! You must be delighted.

I just wanted to let you all know I'm gonna leave the thread. I've had some bleeding the last 2 days, spoke to EPU and I've to test again in a week then call them back if still positive. I don't have a good feeling though and I'm driving myself mad reading stuff! Can't bear the thought that I'm having another miscarriage 😢

Good luck to everyone TTC and with BFPs. I've enjoyed the company over the last few weeks. X

MrsD1990 · 27/01/2020 18:03

Thought I was out this month (I tested too early I think) but thought I'd try a cheapie now just to check since my period is late and... Please tell me you guys can see the line too?? DH wants me to check with CB tomorrow morning which I will do just to make sure but I can't help but get excited!!!!

Ready to get crazy in January!! Who's with me!
MrsD1990 · 27/01/2020 18:04

@newmum2020 I'm so sorry I didn't see your message above mine. I hope you're okay, definitely a good idea to take some time out. Look after yourself and sending love xx
