Despite my TTC last month, it resulted in my AF arriving Christmas Day (deep joy!) it's round 2 this month! I'm due to ovulate on Monday (6th) so anyone else wanna join me, with the overthinking, being excessively paranoid, mystery pregnancy signs and taking PT's when you know you shouldn't be! 🤣🤣
Feel free to jump on the crazy train with me!

Now there's a question!! I started my journey 9 years ago, just after we were married. Found out I had severe PCOS, and a-typical as I am very slim and non of the usual PCOS features. Three rounds of IVF and two miscarriages and we had our wee boy who is now 7. Even though 'I'm lucky to have one', it doesn't stop your heart breaking to add to your family with another. It is a very difficult journey for anyone who is trying to start a family or indeed add to it, but the main thing I learnt from our IVF journey was KEEP GOING!!! X

We've had a few chats about cervix checking for ovulation and i came across this website which I found interesting but you might not want to look as it contains some very graphic images!! But helpful to see/know what's up there for those who want to try feeling cervix position! Anyway just thought I would share in case it is of interest to anyone!

BecauseReasons · 08/01/2020 22:17

Woah. Cervixes are not attractive things!

Ginge35 · 08/01/2020 22:22

@newmum2020 I'm 35 and that's the first time I've seen a cervix! I was nearly sick! 🤢 hahahaha!!!
I had no idea about all of this crap! My god!
I can't check mine even if I wanted to because according to every nurse who has done my smears says that I'm "wonky" and my cervix is hard to reach! Another thing to add to the list of difficulties of getting pregnant! Hence the reason why I'm upside down in some ridiculous poses,to give the swimmers a chance to reach my cervix!
Even if I wasn't wonky I won't be checking anything up there! As I've said before I'll just stick to my OPK's! 😝😝😝

Aaaaah!!! Just catching up on this thread! 😂😂😂

Also yes!!! I do all sorts of upper back stands (don't know what the pose is called) after DTD and god knows what juuuuuuust in case !!

I'm on a train going to work and debating whether to click the cervix link now and give some poor businessman who's sitting next to me a shock if sees my screen 😅😂

8-9DPO today, first day my boobs feel really heavy and sore (as in get out the bed ow ow ow, dear god woman put a bra on to stop them moving)! But probably just post OV hormones.

CD 26 but my last cycles have been 44 days so not sure what's going to happen with this cycle.

How is everyone doing? 😘

FarmerWantsABaby · 09/01/2020 08:43

Flashing smiley face this morning on CB OPK. Day 24 of my cycle. Time to get jiggy.

Ginge35 · 09/01/2020 16:53

Evening ladies! So any one have any "mystery" symptoms yet?
I'm 1DPO and ready to start imagining things! 😝

OP posts:
EffRam · 09/01/2020 17:08

@Ginge35 Oh absolutely! the headache is definitely a symptom (despite having had it since before ovulating) and I DEFINITELY feel nauseous Hmm oh dear only 10 days of this to go! Grin

newmum2020 · 09/01/2020 18:03

@Ginge35 I'm 2DPO (going by predicted date as I can't be sure!) and I've spent the day secretly touching my boobs to see if they hurt 🤣🤣🤣(they aren't🙁)

HighlandMam1 · 09/01/2020 18:10

So far no symptoms what so ever! Unless crazy inflamed gums is one?? Confused not a twinge or anything so I think I will be trying again next month 😂

Ginge35 · 09/01/2020 18:28

@HighlandMam1 think you might need to go to the dentist! 😝
I've still got bad cramps but that's ovulation, as it's the same every month since coming off the pill! They are worse than period pains! Just awful! I thinks it's horrendous that we all want to feel like shit just so we know we are pregnant! 😂😂😂

OP posts:
HighlandMam1 · 09/01/2020 18:37

🤣🤣 @Ginge35 I only had a checkup before Christmas so I really must've over indulged with the sweets over the festive period! 🤣 thankfully there's an appointment available for Monday!!
It's crazy that we just want to feel rotten so we can hope it's signs. Last month I had every sign going and honestly thought that was the month and AF arrived four days late and I'm usually like clockwork!

EffRam · 09/01/2020 19:23

@Ginge35 @HighlandMam1 actually I think that is a symptom !!! 🙊 I forgot about it until you said but my gums were really sore and bled every time I brushed my teeth when pregnant!

I also got sore boobs straight away... Now I'm going to be bipping them constantly haha!

Also I stupidly looked back in my app and last time I got a bfp at 8dpo!!! Can't believe it was that early but I wish I didn't know that now, I was much better at being chill before...

FarmerWantsABaby · 09/01/2020 19:32

How often would you ladies recommend doing CB OPK once you get a flashing smiley? I’ve read about and a lot of people recommend twice a day. Also seen that some women have said they get flashing smiley faces for 7-11 days in a row at times. I don’t think I could mentally cope with that lol
I have an awful cold at the minute so I’m not going to overthink symptoms, I feel like poop 💩

Ginge35 · 09/01/2020 19:37

@FarmerWantsABaby just once a day first in the morning is fine. Save your sticks! They are expensive!
Last month I had two days flashing smiley and this month it was 4 days, so just test once a day and once you get a solid smiley you don't need to test again until next cycle. Hopefully you won't have another cycle and you will get a BFP instead!
@EffRam I didn't know bleeding/sore gums were a sign?
Ever since I've been in this sight I've realised I'm so uneducated on pregnancy! Probably because I've always avoided it! 😝

OP posts:
EffRam · 09/01/2020 19:43

@Ginge35 I didn't until I got pregnant and mentioned it to my sister and she said oh yeah they happened to me too! And midwife said it's fairly common.

ablisha · 09/01/2020 20:03

@newmum2020 GrinI am glad I'm not the only one doing this!!

FarmerWantsABaby · 09/01/2020 22:14

@Ginge35 thanks! Made sure we DTD today, OH is working away from home from tomorrow until Sunday 🙄 super timing. Might have to wake up early before he leaves tomorrow for another go 😂
I agree with @HighlandMam1 and @Ginge35 it’s so shocking that we want to be suffering for a confirmation of pregnancy.
Can’t believe I spent so many years trying to avoid it. Literally there were times I was praying at night during my uni years asking the powers that be to spare me 🙈

Ginge35 · 09/01/2020 22:18

Evening ladies! Just a question! My fertile days were 4-9 January and got my LH surge yesterday. DH isn't too well and I've worn him out cus he's not been well, but we only DTD Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Is that enough? We are in our mid-late 30's so can't be at it like rabbits like we used to in our 20's, but I just feel it wasn't enough.
Just having a paranoid moment (already 🤪) given that nothing happened last month either for us!
I just want to get pregnant and enjoy the journey instead of feeling like something is wrong with me!
I understand it's harder after 35 to conceive but I'm healthy so I don't see why it should be such an issue!
Just feel sad 😔

OP posts:
ablisha · 09/01/2020 22:26

It only takes the one time @Ginge35 and sperm lasts up to 5-7 in the woman's body Smile fingers are all crossed for you x

DustyDiva · 09/01/2020 22:30

Hi ladies
Lovely to read all your symptoms spotting posts... baby dust to all!! X
I'm 9dpo and all my symptoms have disappeared. I know I still have a few days and af due Tuesday 14 th although with PCOS I may not get it if I didn't ovulate.

Ginge35 · 09/01/2020 22:34

Thanks @ablisha it's just frustrating when people just get pregnant by accident and we are all here trying every trick in the book and still nothing! Hopefully this is all our month for the BFP but I just have a gut feeling it's just not going to happen for us! At all! 😭
I think my crazy is overtaking the logical side of my brain so I'm going to stop googling everything and go to bed! 🤪
Baby dust to you all ladies ❤️

Been watching this thread but yet to contribute.

Trying for second child and this is first cycle properly trying and looking at ovulation. I got obsessed last time round and it took about 6 months so this time trying to be a bit more relaxed. DTD a couple of times in my ovulation window and now have 4 days before I can do a test. Making myself wait as last time I kept testing way too early.

When I fell pregnant last time I had just started using conceive plus lube (read the Amazon reviews people swear by it) and bang that cycle i got pregnant. So have used it this time round.

My boobs feel like they've got hard lumps in, I breastfed in the past and feels abit like that. Hoping it's a sign and that I'm not imagining it.

Baby dust to you all x

newmum2020 · 10/01/2020 09:42

@Gastonimo interesting about the lube, I'm thinking I'll try that if I'm not lucky this cycle! I have a couple of cheap tests in my bedside drawer but at the earliest I am waiting til next weekend when I'll be 11/12 DPO. I looked back through my fitbit fertility tracker app and noticed that when i was pregnant before MC in November I logged sore breasts as a symptom at 5DPO so clearly I think that's why I'm desperately waiting on the sore boobs to kick in!! It was my earliest symptom last time but I did have a bit of the metallic taste in mouth and some spots on chin too (I have had spots for a day or two now but I'm trying not to read anything into that as it's way too early!!)
