Our other thread is getting quite long and I know they stop at 1,000 comments so thought I’d make a new one for us .
I am so sorry if I’ve missed anyone , just going by usernames I remember off the top of my head !
I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant (miscalculated and thought I was only 4+3). Going for an 8 week scan (I’ll be almost 9 weeks) on 25th Jan.
but I am really enjoying joining you on your journeys on TTC and you’ve all been amazing so I didn’t want to just say goodbye to the thread .
Please come on in if you’re new here , and join everyone on their journeys . I feel like we’ve been chatting forever but it’s only been a couple of months. What a roller coaster it’s been!

Anyway, as we were!

Fabulous news @curbsideprophet 🥳
I’ve been having brown discharge off and on and have googled like mad 😂 but I’m also trying to ‘let be what will be’. OH agreed to early scan yesterday so that’s good news no didn’t think he’d be keen because they are not cheap. I not it’s not a guarantee but I’d like to do it to make me feel better.

notalwaysalondoner · 01/01/2020 11:09

@Curbsideprophet congratulations! What a start to the new year!!! So exciting. I know it’s easily said, and I’m a worrier too, but try and let yourself be excited as well as anxious! It won’t affect how the pregnancy turns out either way and you’ve been waiting so eagerly for the BFP you deserve to let yourself be happy and excited! I think I’ll be exactly the same - go straight from worrying about infertility to worrying about miscarriage, but it’s such an exciting time we should all try and enjoy it too!

So happy to see everyone getting BFPs, feels like there’s been a lot this month!

Today on CD15 I think my cervix is a bit lower and harder and no EWCM so hope we caught ovulation! We DTD on CD 12,13,14 and will try again CD16 - need a day off today haha! Then into another TWW. Going to do dry January and kind of veganauary - going to give up meat and dairy but keep eggs and fish. So hopefully a health kick will help!

Cheyanne101 · 01/01/2020 11:15

@CurbsideProphet oh wow amazing i had a feeling for u, fingers crossed it all goes well. Yes the doctors can do a BHCG blood test there and then and get it sent to the labs...

CurbsideProphet · 01/01/2020 11:31

Thank you all so much Flowers I really do appreciate it Flowers

@notalwaysalondoner yes I went from worrying about not getting pregnant to immediately worrying about miscarrying Confused I'm sure I'll feel more reassured after I've seen the nurse and as the next couple of weeks go on.

We just need to try to hide it now, which is difficult with me feeling very sick and seeing various family members for dinner twice in the next 3 days 🤦🏻‍♀️

GaaaaarlicBread · 01/01/2020 11:37

@CurbsideProphet yes don’t announce it to anyone other than maybe a close friend and then your health care professionals . I told my GP and epilepsy nurse , manager as I was sick and then one very close friend of mine and my husbands as she recently found out a week before me than she’s also pregnant and told us so it’s nice as we are in it together . The same as we are on here !
That’s why I’ve also booked for an early scan because it’s nice reassurance as otherwise you’re worrying for 12 weeks !
The gp can do bloods but they don’t really do it much these days as urine tests are so accurate

Thanks guys!! I dont know when I am due as I have really irregular periods! I think its evap lines that has played a trick on me!

MGee123 · 01/01/2020 11:41

Hoping you have ovulated and caught the right timing @notalwaysalondoner !

I am vegan and have found it much easier to regulate my weight since adopting the diet in 2018. I also feel much fitter and healthier, and have more energy. It's also done wonders for my cooking as you have to be more adventurous! If you want any suggestions or advice I'm happy to try and help! The only thing I would suggest is if you are dropping the amount of dairy you consume significantly it would be sensible to start taking vitamin B12 supplements. Most vegans take B12 as you can't get it from plant based sources and it is hard to achieve adequate intake on a vegan diet. (Sorry if you already knew this!).

I'm feeling positive about 2020 11 hours in! 😂 Fingers crossed for you all 😊

hopefulhel · 01/01/2020 11:57

Ladies, according to my app im 5 days away from AF and have my usual symptoms of her 😭 However a few days ago i checked my cervix and it seemed to be quite low and hard after ovulation, and today its risen and is softer. I have no CM now last bit of showing was yesterday but iv dried up now as i know thats normal before AF.
This whole feeling the cervix is very new to me so i just wondering what generally is the "norm" by the majority? TIA x

GaaaaarlicBread · 01/01/2020 17:01

@Cheyanne101 honestly like I said to Curbside , don’t feel like you are out until AF is here. I had my sore breasts like I do a week before my period was due and it was actually a pregnancy sign , along with headache and back ache .
Cervix wise-During ovulation, the cervix rises to a higher level in the vagina. It will be lower in the vagina around the time of your period or when you’re due. If you’ve conceived, the cervix will remain in a higher position. Mine was very hard to reach.
The second noticeable change is in the feel of the cervix. If you haven’t conceived, your cervix will feel firm before your period, i would describe it as an unripened nectarine . If you are pregnant, your cervix will feel soft (or medium soft) like yours lips (in your face) 🤣

Cheyanne101 · 01/01/2020 17:08

@itsemily lol it does feel like pursed like my face lips 😂 but it is reachable but defo highter then a couple of days ago!
i have no other symptoms - only my usual flatulance and bowel movements i always get before AF 😭 sorry i know thats TMI haha

GaaaaarlicBread · 01/01/2020 17:18

@chey nothing is TMI on here ! Don’t worry. If it’s soft then I’d say that’s a super good sign. Don’t be thinking you need every symptom out there because everyone is so different . I got more frequent bowel movements before mine and just assumed it was AF !

Maddy0405 · 01/01/2020 17:59

Happy new year ladies! Got AF today so only a 59 day cycle in total 😂 let’s see what 2020 has in store for us x

Maddy0405 · 01/01/2020 18:40

Sorry everyone I posted my message and hadn’t caught up on the thread cos the page hadn’t reloaded 🙄 congrats on all the baby news everyone! xx

ToCaden · 01/01/2020 18:43

No luck for me this month. Feeling positive about January. Good luck to all those yet to get their BFP.

LeaBri · 01/01/2020 19:50

@CurbsideProphet congrats lovely!! I thought reading your symptoms that it looked like good news. Hope your GP can soothe your worries, you deserve to be happy and excited now!

@itsemily thank you for making the new thread! How are you feeling?

It’s my CD7 and I’m about to come into my fertile week at the weekend. Me and my partner are going to make a real effort to DTD over this week coming, I really think where we only doing it once at weekends, we have just missed the egg previously. I’m excited to give it our all this month.

CurbsideProphet · 01/01/2020 20:30

Thank you all Flowers

I've just been to the local walk in centre / A&E because I knew I wouldn't sleep tonight. The Dr was lovely and said it will be a bit wait and see over the next few days. Feeling sick is a very good sign, so I should be optimistic unless I have an obvious bleed.

Knackered now!

Cheyanne101 · 01/01/2020 21:12

@CurbsideProphet that was a good idea, i feel i would the same as you the worry totally takes over any positive feelings. Try and get some rest watch a funny movie or something to help focus on something else,im sure it will be all be fine 🤞🥰

Cheyanne101 · 02/01/2020 11:24

Girls i know o shouldnt have tested until AF was due in 4 days but i couldnt help myself....then this showed up!! I know its really early so im trying to stay calm, is there such a thing as false positives?lol

TTC baby #1 Threat #2
MGee123 · 02/01/2020 12:07

Congratulations @Cheyanne101 ! I don't think you can really get false positives, as the tests will only show positive if they detect HCG. You will only have HCG in your urine if you're pregnant. Probably worth leaving it a few days and testing again, just to be sure! Fingers crossed for you 🤞😊

bubblyboo900 · 02/01/2020 12:30

Congratulations @Cheyanne101. Good for you!! Like @MGee123 said you can’t really get false positives, only in very rare cases. But it feels very surreal when it happens doesn’t it? I’ve taken about 6/7 tests as I’m convinced it can’t be true.
@CurbsideProphet how are you doing today?

GaaaaarlicBread · 02/01/2020 13:09

Congrats @Cheyanne101 !! I told you , you just know when you’re pregnant ! I’m surprised the digital worked so early they usually say they don’t ! But that’s amazing , definitely no such thing as a false positive on a digital . You’re all good ! Blue dye tests can be known to run but pink or digital are very reliable ! X

Cheyanne101 · 02/01/2020 13:23

Thanks everyone.. i still dont believe it i will break the bank now buying tests i just know i will! Hopefully it all still goes to plan etc im aware its super super early but jeez i was not expecting that! X

GaaaaarlicBread · 02/01/2020 13:50

@chey will you be like me and worry now til the 12 week scan ?! 🤣 I’m so anxious about the wait which is why I ended up booking an early test lol
