Our other thread is getting quite long and I know they stop at 1,000 comments so thought I’d make a new one for us .
I am so sorry if I’ve missed anyone , just going by usernames I remember off the top of my head !
I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant (miscalculated and thought I was only 4+3). Going for an 8 week scan (I’ll be almost 9 weeks) on 25th Jan.
but I am really enjoying joining you on your journeys on TTC and you’ve all been amazing so I didn’t want to just say goodbye to the thread .
Please come on in if you’re new here , and join everyone on their journeys . I feel like we’ve been chatting forever but it’s only been a couple of months. What a roller coaster it’s been!

Anyway, as we were!

Hi guys. Thanks @itsemily for the new thread. I didn’t realise that ovulation happened so quickly after getting a positive OPK. You spend all your younger years trying to avoid getting pregnant and it turns out it’s pretty darn difficult anyway!!
I have had slight spotting and cramps, got a stronger positive pregnancy test last night which made me feel better. AF would be due tomorrow so hoping to get through the next few days, and have a clear blue to take at the weekend to hopefully get a really solid/dark line. Even though it’s so early we have found that we will need to tell a few people as I have a small NYE get together tonight and the works belated Xmas party on Saturday. OH doesn’t see the harm in telling anyone and everyone, but he doesn’t seem to get how hard it is to deal with the fallout of things don’t work out. It’s not telling people that bothers me, it’s the reactions they give. They don’t know what to do/say and last time I had an overwhelming feeling that I had to be ‘ok’ straight away. Anyway... I hope you all enjoy your Nye and that 2020 is the year of mega baby dust!!

CurbsideProphet · 31/12/2019 11:42

Congrats to you @bubblyboo900 Flowers
I'm currently deliberating whether to POAS Confused I don't drink anyway and we've no plans tonight, so it doesn't matter from that point of view!

bubblyboo900 · 31/12/2019 11:57

@CurbsideProphet. Thank you. I took a test nearly a week early so you are being very patient waiting!! I’m not sure I could do that!! I personally preferred to get the disappointment on my terms, rather than wait for AF. If that makes sense. My fingers are crossed for you 🤞🏻

Cheyanne101 · 31/12/2019 12:02

@CurbsideProphet this all sounds really promising? Are you usually very on time with AF? Personally i have an addiction to testing lol so if i was you i would be since your period os technically late? But i also see your reasoning for waiting because the BFNs are so hard to see!! Good luck either way xx

CurbsideProphet · 31/12/2019 12:04

@bubblyboo900 I know what you mean. I've been on pins and would rather know now. I think I'll test first thing tomorrow morning if there's no sign of AF. That would be 15 DPO and should give an accurate result.

Obviously I've been googling my symptoms and am worrying about chemical and ectopic pregnancies because of my cramps.

I know what you mean about all those years panicking about getting pregnant when it's really not that easy Hmm

CurbsideProphet · 31/12/2019 12:13

@Cheyanne101 I've been back through my Flo app and AF comes from day 25-28, though most commonly on day 26. So technically I'm not really late yet... Are cramps normal if I was pregnant? I'm reliant on google and the results have been conflicting Confused

Cheyanne101 · 31/12/2019 12:22

@Cheyanne101 i remember a friend of mine who was convinced AF was on the way because she had real period cramps the exact same as AF, she now has a 6 year old lol, but i know its not the case for everyone. I think trust your gutt if feel better waiting another few days thats the best thing to do. Im gutted i can feel AF on the way too i actually get a lot of wind/ass gas lol so thats always a tell tale sign for me so sadly i know im out again! But you still have hope!!🤞🤞🤞 x

Cheyanne101 · 31/12/2019 12:23

@CurbsideProphet i tagged myself in the above instead of u 😂

GaaaaarlicBread · 31/12/2019 12:40

@CurbsideProphet I had cramps the day I got my positive , and a few days on from it. The dr said it was implantation! Good luck !
@bubblyboo900 you’re welcome and congrats 🥳! Xx

I've decided to test tomorrow morning if there's no AF, so I'll let you know either way.

notalwaysalondoner · 31/12/2019 16:16

@CurbsideProphet I know exactly what you mean about a captain’s log, but this is the only place I can talk about it and it is such a help to talk to everyone here and share how it’s going.

I think I ovulated yesterday or today, had some EWCM today although I don’t tend to get much at all. Hubby was away 26-29th but we’ve DTD 29th and 30th and going to try again today if we can get the energy up! It helps we’re staying in a beautiful country house for New Years with a four poster bed and a fire in our bedroom... very romantic! I’m just so keen for this cycle to be the one as I’ve been more chilled and certainly stocked up nutritionally (if cake counts...)!

Ginge35 · 31/12/2019 16:24

@notalwaysalondoner sounds like you have a fab new year in store! Fingers crossed for you!if Cake counts I'm definitely in with a chance this month! 😂
I already have a major food baby on the go! Here's hoping me and my DH can get a real one in my belly too! 🤞 😂🤞

CurbsideProphet · 31/12/2019 18:42

That sounds absolutely lovely @notalwaysalondoner have a great time! It really is helpful to be able to hop on here and spill all my inner thoughts. DH is so chilled about it while I'm inwardly obsessing over my cramps etc 🤦🏻‍♀️

CurbsideProphet · 01/01/2020 00:18

BFPs and baby dust for ll of us in 2020 Smile

CurbsideProphet · 01/01/2020 07:02

I took a test at 6am and there's definitely a line Shock DH could see it without his glasses on Smile I had more brown discharge just before and was convinced it would be negative.

I feel so nauseous and still have some cramps, so I'm going to try to see a nurse or GP tomorrow for reassurance. My default setting is "Worry" which doesn't help, as DH has gone back to sleep and I'm lying here thinking about the symptoms of ectopic pregnancies Confused

We're not telling family or friends until I'm much further along (I will be telling work though), so it might be difficult to hide if I keep feeling sick. We'll see!

GaaaaarlicBread · 01/01/2020 08:02

@curbside congratulations ! See I told you the symptoms are un explainable when you get them aren’t they ! Not like period symptoms as such .
How faint is the line though if AF is due ?

OP posts:
CurbsideProphet · 01/01/2020 08:06

Thank you @itsemily Smile
Today is CD 29. I usually have 25-27 day cycle. The line isn't that faint at all when I looked at it again. It's just not as dark as the line that's already there, if that makes sense.

I've felt sick since Saturday. I'm just feeling a bit cautious about the brown discharge.

MGee123 · 01/01/2020 08:44

Hello everyone, I’d like to join this thread if that is okay?

I’m 30 and we’re TTC our first baby. We’ve been trying since September with no luck so far. I had the mirena coil removed at the end of August after 6 blissful years of no periods! I have had a 33, 35, 22 and 28 day cycle so hoping we’re heading in the right direction! I’ve not had any positive OPKs yet despite quite religious testing, which is worrying me a bit but I’m trying not to ruminate on it.

I’m currently on CD 4 and due to ovulate around 11th Jan according to my Ovia app. I am going to start OPK testing this weekend I think. Im committing now to not taking any pregnancy tests until the day my period is due - once I start i just get more worried!

I’m looking forward to having people to talk to about this as whilst my OH is lovely, he is not that interested in the detail!

Congratulations Curbside, Keeping my fingers crossed for you 😊

GaaaaarlicBread · 01/01/2020 09:34

@CurbsideProphet sounds promising , not sure about the discharge so like you said just keep an eye on it and if you’re in any severe pain then go to the dr .

@mgee you sound like me ! I had my Mirena out end of September after 3 years of no periods so I was clueless about my cycle ! I never even had spotting it is fab isn’t it ?! I thought I got a period the week after the removal but it wasn’t really a proper one . I then had one more normal period after a long stretch of about 35 days I think (the ladies on here might remember better than me as I was very stressed !), anyway I got my BFP 23rd December . So don’t worry too much about lack of positive OPKs , it just takes your body some times to get back into routine . I recommend not focusing on OPKs and just DTD when you can because the Mirena can cause your ovulation to be a bit all over the place my dr said x

Hi everyone, can anyone see a line? If you cant just say cause I'm not sure if I'm seeing things lol!

GaaaaarlicBread · 01/01/2020 09:58

@liam morning ! Sorry I can’t see anything . I looked really hard 😓 but maybe it’s my eyes ! When are you due your period ?

OP posts:
CurbsideProphet · 01/01/2020 10:14

@itsemily I've been logging in my Flo app so I don't forget. I had a bit of brown discharge Sunday (only once when wiping) and again this morning (once when wiping). I'm going to ring my GP tomorrow and ask to see the nurse. Hoping she might do a blood test to check my hormone levels. That's a thing isn't it?!

DH and I have agreed that we'll be cautiously optimistic, but not tell anyone other than HCPs until around week 10 so long as everything is ok. Obviously I keep googling my symptoms Hmm Still feel horribly nauseous and have only managed rich tea biscuits so far. Hoping the nausea is a good sign.

MGee123 · 01/01/2020 10:41

Thank you @itsemily - it is reassuring to hear someone else who has had similar experiences! I do keep myself fit and healthy, don't drink too much and eat well so I'm trying to convince myself there is no reason for anything to be wrong! My OH is fit and well too so hopefully it is just taking a bit of time for my cycle to reorganise. I'm finding it hard to be patient, it doesn't come naturally to me!

@CurbsideProphet I don't know a huge amount but what you're describing sounds within the realms of normal early signs of pregnancy. I think being cautiously optimistic is a good idea! What a good start to the new year for you 😊

MGee123 · 01/01/2020 10:43

@Liam2018 I'm really sorry but I can't see anything. Perhaps give it a couple of days and try another? Are you many DPO? (Sorry if I've missed this info in the thread somewhere)

Hannahb26 · 01/01/2020 10:52

@CurbsideProphet brill news! ❤️ fingers crossed it all goes well with the Dr's!
