Anyone looking to start TTC in New Year?

Join here please! I’m still taking my pill at the moment but current packet runs out on 7th Jan so planning to start then but not really track anything officially. I’ve been reading up about conception vitamins and going to buy some this week to start taking after new year- does anyone have recommendations for particular brands?
Will be my first but partners 2nd, very nervous but excited at the same time. No idea what to expect but hoping to have some ladies in the same situation to chat to!

@alliejay81 I'm 12 hours in to the TWW and getting impatient already lol. Though did have a minor freak out last night when I realised that we could have made a baby already... Also if DH asks me one more time if I 'feel pregnant yet' I don't know what I'll do 🙄

@Anon87 yeah I know what you mean, I told myself when I came off the pill and couple of weeks ago that we'd just see how things go initially, but that just didn't happen 😂. I'm useless at remembering dates so at least tracking things will help me remember when things happen. What were you on?

@Ginger87 I had mirena coil (3 years). The nurse said there would be a slight chance I'd get caught straight from removal as we DTD a few nights before but my app prediction shows I wouldn't have been ovulating anyway (if it's predicted right).
Be a bit poop to miss out on the fun of trying anyway 😆

I don't know why, but now we have decided to start trying I feel I can't stop thinking about being pregnant how do you all deal with this nervous excitement every month? I fell pregnant quickly with my other 2 but now I'm older (38) I'm feeling a bit nervous

Like at the moment the wait to ovulation just seems forever I don't know what's wrong with me!

@Anon87 the trying is so much fun 😂. Don't rely just on the apps, Clue had me down as ovulating later this week but my CM definitely looked egg whitey yesterday so think it's already happened.

Hi everyone.....we started ttc after Christmas but I'm just joining here now. On cycle 2 now and going to try and reign in on the symptom spotting madness from cycle 1. I was convinced I had all symptoms of pregnancy but nope! Hope everyone is well here. I'm on cd4 is anyone else around same point? I have pretty short cycles at the moment of 26 days. Age 37 and ttc #2, fingers crossed.

morning all! Sorry I have had such a busy weekend I haven't been on.

Tested this morning after a really vivid dream of doing a positive test to the point I woke up and was like omg how do I tell everyone. Then realised I hadn't, and actual test was negative. was a FRER and I'm due on tomorrow so think I'm out now - my temp had dropped so I figured I was but it's come back up and it looks like a classic implantation dip (but I know they don't really mean anything!).

Anyway I have a weird mix of emotions as stuff happened at work last week that mean it really really is better not to be expecting September, but obviously I am still a bit disappointed as had been secretly hoping we would be first month lucky!

On to cycle 2!!

I finally have my withdrawal bleed! 5 weeks after coming off the pill. So relieved 😂

@loveandsparkles I feel the same, first two were quick. But admittedly I didn't track my periods or anything like I am now. So now it's on my mind all the time wondering what day I'm on etc!

@professorastrocat Hey!! Good luck. AF due tomorrow for me and had BFN so as of tomorrow it will be cycle 2 after MC. Trying for #3, our last.

@EffRam Also had BFN on FRER so I'm expecting AF to arrive tomorrow!

Still no AF this morning but instead a stomach bug so that might of delayed it I guess!

Morning! Not posted as not had much to say... still non the wiser what's going on here. Am seeing the GP on Monday so fingers crossed they can help.

Currently Cycle Day 56, I'm in 2 minds whether to do another test before Monday - last did one (First Response) 12th Jan, I'm wondering whether to try a different brand but not sure

Last few days my boobs have been sore but nothing major & ive been super emotional - I cried at the tv last night

Morning all, see we're all just chucking along on the journey.

DH and I are still debating whether or not to give this month a proper go and begin in April.

It's also a bit annoying as we're planning our honeymoon for wedding #2 and most places we're thinking of (Mexico, etc) are still a zika risk. We'll probably "end up" in New York/Orlando which would still be a fantastic holiday!!

@TheLastStark just a heads up - when I went to give blood after my honeymoon to Orlando this year, I wasn't allowed as that too is a zika risk

@rhirhibumblebee Period here, right on time. Oh well!! I did feel a bit disappointed obviously but tbh the timing wouldn't have been ideal this month for various reasons (would have been due right around my son's birthday, we have a wedding abroad coming up end of summer and various things on at work in September) so onwards and upwards! Also my cycle was perfectly regular again so that is all helpful data Roll on the next round...

Wow had a good few days off here and missed all the BFPs so massive congratulations everyone!! Super excited for you all.
Nothing really to update from my perspective awaiting any sign of anything have been off the pill three weeks now, so I know I just need to be patient.

Morning all, I have a tmi EWCM question...

I definitely had a fair bit of EWCM on Sunday so assumed I had ovulated. But the last couple of days has seen my CM has quite been changeable, with a little bit off EW but mainly quite dry and a bit sticky. But this morning it was much more EW again?? Has this happened to anyone else?

Trouble is, I'm out late tonight so might be hard to DTD...

@Ginger87 I find I get EWCM at non ova times too. Your best best is OPKs to double check. Good luck!

@charlesthekudu yeah, I think I'll start doing that next month. The guess work is too stressful otherwise! Though might rearrange this evening's plans just in case...😉
