TTC after pregnancy loss - Thread 33- huddle up and bring on the BFP's

Welcome to the 🐧 huddle. This a safe place to get and give support for everyone who has experienced the loss(es) of a pregnancy and baby. Pregnancy and child loss is the most awful thing anyone can experience and it can also be the most lonely time too. I hope you find this thread to be of some comfort.

@avocuddles I had a quick look at the thread and I saw lots of ladies 6+ months into their journey! I'm with you, I definitely do not feel confident enough to join a thread like that. Thinking of maybe starting a "limbo-thread" for between now and the 7 weeks? 😅 we could carry on on that thread if all goes well too, and more people who will hopefully get BFP:s on this thread can join? 🤔

LASandOtto · 21/01/2020 13:48

@SunStruck I think that's a good idea! I don't want to be on a thread where everyone is way ahead in case something goes wrong - of course, hoping it won't. But after two MCs I think we all err on the cautious side. Cautious optimism, right? 😊

Bumblebee999 · 21/01/2020 15:20

@Avocuddles thanks for the link to supplements! X

MrsG3 · 21/01/2020 15:31

@Mumlili8 sending a hug! AF arrived for me yesterday 3 days early 🤦🏻‍♀️

Treaclepie19 · 21/01/2020 15:41

Hi all!
Seems there have been some busy bees, congratulations to those with BFPs!

I'm currently awaiting my period. I'd be really shocked if I was pregnant but I cant help but hope. Cd24 today... cycles are normally 23/24 days with the odd 27/28 every few months.

Avocuddles · 21/01/2020 18:17

@SunStruck an early pregnancy thread sounds like a great idea!

Working away and just about to go out with my team for dinner. Grateful that I have the (genuine!) dry January excuse to get me through.....

Pregnant after loss and dreaming of rainbows.... www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/3801729-pregnant-after-loss-and-dreaming-of-rainbows

@SunStruck @LASandOtto a place to share without fear. Hopefully plenty more to come join soon!

I will still be hanging around here though to follow everyone's stories.....

BunnytheBlueWhale · 21/01/2020 18:33

@Morganmom Sorry just seen this. I would try to do it two days after peak but only if we are up for it. We get tired too! I am not actually tracking this month but I think I’m due to ov tomorrow and will try to dtd til Friday but we don’t necessarily dtd very day anyway

Morganmom · 21/01/2020 19:07

Can’t wait to join! @Avocuddles dreaming of rainbows

Shefliesonherownwings · 21/01/2020 19:57

Hi all. @Avocuddles thanks for that picture, it's really helpful. @Mumlili8 sorry you got a BFN, has AF arrived?

Typically now that we've decided to properly TTC this week, DH has an injury downstairs so not sure we will be able to DTD again this week which looks like my FW, I suspect ovulation will be in a day or two going by CM. We DTD Sunday but I'm not holding out now for this month. We'll see what happens.

Fingers crossed more of us will be moving over to the graduates thread soon enough.

BunnytheBlueWhale · 21/01/2020 21:58

Selfish question - do we thinks baths are on around ovulation time? i.e. not quite 2WW but not tracking and think I’ll ov in the next day maybe

BunnytheBlueWhale · 21/01/2020 21:58

ok, not on

And I mean hot baths.

Avocuddles · 21/01/2020 22:44

@BunnytheBlueWhale I definitely had hot baths all the way up to my BFP. I'm still loving baths now but making them a bit cooler. The second time is got a BFP I'd spent a whole day during the 2WW at a spa enjoying saunas and hot tubs and implantation still happened properly (the issues were later on) so I personally wouldn't worry too much about the bath. If you're concerned maybe just make it a little cooler so that it doesn't significantly raise your heart rate?

Avocuddles · 21/01/2020 22:46

Ps an article I read online advised no warmer than 103 degrees Fahrenheit but I have no concept of how warm that is!

BunnytheBlueWhale · 21/01/2020 23:31

Thanks! @Avocuddles No I have no idea either! I ended up just having a shower but going into the 2WW now so will try to avoid v hot baths L! 🛁 Hope you’re ok

LASandOtto · 22/01/2020 12:08

@Shefliesonherownwings sorry to hear about DH. Maybe he feels a bit better today? 😊

@BunnytheBlueWhale no idea about baths and temperatures but I don't think you need to worry too much about it. For men and their swimmers I believe there's more caution to be exercised. Saying that DH and I've happily sat in the bathtub and DTD after and I think one of those times resulted in a BFP, so....

I know we all try to do what we can in our fertile week! But don't deny yourself some of the pleasures that make you feel great! Being in a good mood and stress free I'm sure goes some way to helping TTC!

Mumlili8 · 22/01/2020 14:06

Right I'm totally confused now bfn 10dpo but today 12dpo bfp. I think my chart is wrong and I ovulated a day later or these tests are far too light for 12dpo hence on to loss number 9 😔. The test strip was from a clearblue digi that said not pregnant. Only problem is after the negative at 10dpo I stopped the progesterone I've used a pessaries since the positive today but now I'm scared to death that I buggered up and it's another loss. Help I'm going crazy. I'm off in search of a frer now so will update soon.
@Avocuddles did you say you used easy@home pregnancy test if so do you have any pics. I've done two today but can't figure out if it's a evap or vvf positive

@Mumlili8 this looks like a BFP to me?!!!! 12 DPO is still great, I got a BFN at 12DPO and my BFP on 14DPO. I had tested early too and then given up, and then it ended up as it did with a positive in the end so don't give up hope!!!!

Get a FRER and update us! Don't worry if you stopped the progesterone, just go back on it today!

Mumlili8 · 22/01/2020 15:02

@LASandOtto was that with this pregnancy

OP posts:
LASandOtto · 22/01/2020 15:07

Yes it was @Mumlili8. My CB Monitor asks to test from 3 days before AF is due - I did a test at 11 DPO, 12 DPO (both negative) then couldn't be bothered and didn't bother at 13 DPO, then morning AF was due I thought ok, I'll do one last one and that was my positive at 14 DPO. Clear blue are less sensitive tests so, try a FRER?

Mumlili8 · 22/01/2020 15:35

Gutted seams to be a false alarm

@mumlili8 that definitely looks positive to me!!! Yeah update us after you've taken a FRER please 😊 I'm crossing everything for you 🤞🤞🤞

SunStruck · 22/01/2020 15:37

Sorry we posted at the same time! But two of your Clearblue showed a faint line? That's very strange! How long did you wait with FRER?

Mumlili8 · 22/01/2020 15:39

@SunStruck tbh only about a hour. With other pregnancies by now I had a much darker line so it's either a false alarm or yet another cp. 😔
