TTC after pregnancy loss - Thread 33- huddle up and bring on the BFP's

Welcome to the 🐧 huddle. This a safe place to get and give support for everyone who has experienced the loss(es) of a pregnancy and baby. Pregnancy and child loss is the most awful thing anyone can experience and it can also be the most lonely time too. I hope you find this thread to be of some comfort.

@JuniperAndRose Thanks for your reply. It is strange and I know feelings can change. My DH is very guilty of making comments like that based on just having a bad day so I’m hoping it’s that and more so I’m hoping we can have a baby naturally anyway. We had never discussed IVF but he was one who always thought having a baby is easy and nothing would go wrong. The other day was the first time I’d brought up IVF. We discussed adoption and went to a meeting about it a few months ago and concluded we are not ready for it but we knew we’d want to try having a baby dust now just because it could get harder as we get older.

Good luck with TTC. I’m not tracking either since last month and I don’t feel like going back to it. I know roughly that I’m going into FW and I might be able to tell when I’m close to ov but I don’t feel like tracking atm. You might have seen from my earlier post (maybe on the other thread) that DH and I were getting a bit stressed about it this morning... but I feel fine now!

SunStruck · 18/01/2020 01:44

So I was hellbent on not testing until Monday (which is 14 DPO) although my luteal phase is 10 DPO to not get my hopes up... but DH wanted me to test today as it's our weekend (back to work tomorrow), so he can join in and to process the good or bad news!

This is me at 12 DPO 😳

Sorry I meant my luteal phase is 10 days... early morning here 😴

Sunflower1608 · 18/01/2020 03:47

Massive congrats @SunStruck x

SunStruck · 18/01/2020 04:58

@venusstarr I'm so sorry to hear that you're so down 😔 I completely understand where you're coming from, the advice from the last appointment you had just have shook you to the core. Definitely right to take a bit of time off and look after yourself - maybe get a second opinion, and if that's the route to go, I know you'll be very well taken care of and monitored, so your chances are really good. I really hope to see you back at MN again when you feel stronger ❤️

@lasandotto oh definitely tell your colleague, need all the support you can get! You must feel super anxious if you've always found out when you're away, you know you have the MN support here and we understand how you feel ❤️

My DH's reaction was an anticlimax "oh okay that's good, let's not get our hopes up yet." HmmI get where he's coming from but still! The poor guy thinks he's the unlucky charm as he's never been to a scan with me when we've received good news 🥺 I've been to one good scan myself (first scan ever, the first time around when it ended in mmc) when I saw the heartbeat at 6.5 weeks - He wasn't there as he was traveling for work. Next time he came with me the baby was gone at 10 weeks. I'm hoping this will be a sticky one...

SunStruck · 18/01/2020 04:59

@sunflower1608 thank you 😊 I'm hoping for BFP:s for all of us soon... sticky ones!

Avocuddles · 18/01/2020 08:05

@SunStruck congratulations, what a super clear line! I really do hope this is a sticky one for you. How are you feeling?
I'm going to test again tomorrow to hopefully see a stronger one. Our dates are exactly the same!

BunnytheBlueWhale · 18/01/2020 08:17

@SunStruck Congratulations! xxx

SunStruck · 18/01/2020 08:33

@bunnythebluewhale thank you! 🥰

@avocuddles thanks, I'm feeling fine - I had the worst 'period cramps' and back ache for a few days but it completely disappeared yesterday. Must have been implantation. My boobs are really heavy and bigger though which is a good sign of hormones.

I'm just glad it's very different from my last pregnancy, I had a really faint line from 12 to 18 DPO (and blood tests showed a very slow hcg rise). This ended in an early miscarriage at 6 weeks. This time around at least the line looks strong and the boobs are different, so fingers crossed! How are you feeling? When are you testing again?

Yes very similar dates! 😄 my app says due date should be 29 September if it sticks...

LASandOtto · 18/01/2020 08:35

@SunStruck yaaaay that's a lovely strong positive girl! Here's hoping we have sticky beans and all goes well for us, third time lucky I hope! X

MrsG3 · 18/01/2020 10:25

@SunStruck @Avocuddles congratulations ladies, so pleased for you both! Lots of love and fingers crossed for sticky beans 💕

Bumblebee999 · 18/01/2020 13:17

Congratulations guys, lovely to read some good news

tmc14 · 18/01/2020 13:18

Congratulations @SunStruck that’s lovely news x keeping everything crossed for you x

Russkispy · 18/01/2020 22:39

@SunStruck congratulations! Hope the little bean sticks 🤞🏻

@Avocuddles saw your BFP post! Massive congratulations! Hope the line progressed for the past couple of days 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

SunStruck · 19/01/2020 01:12

Thanks ladies! 🥰 I probably need to go to the dr today for a blood test for hcg, which is triggering as my hcg was so low last time (obviously not good). I actually don't think it will be the same this time as the line is strong, but I just hope the hcg will double every 48h as recommended.

Anyway this is still way early so let's hope 🤞

How are you ladies getting on? Any fun plans for the weekend? Back to work (and the grind) for me today, I'm so tired 😴 Weekends are never long enough...

Avocuddles · 19/01/2020 08:39

Thanks everyone!

I'm 12-13 DPO today and had a far stronger line on an FRER this morning along with a 1-2 weeks on a clear blue digital. I have 4 more of each in a drawer along with at least 20 cheapies so there will be plenty more POAS to come.....
Just gave myself my first enoxaparin injection, it stings a bit but I've managed to get over my needle phobia eventually. Need to ring the obstetrician / haematologist tomorrow to kick that process off yet again, along with the fertility clinic and also my GP.

Hope you're all ok. Appreciate that sharing this kind of news may be triggering for some and will hopefully hop over to the 'graduates' thread soon. I'm confident that this year is going to bring so many BFPs on this thread, even if I'm not active I will be watching eagerly as I'm rooting for each and every one of us x

SunStruck · 19/01/2020 09:14

@avocuddles that's such good news 🥰🥰 when did you ovulate if you don't mind me asking? Just to check how close to each other we are! I've just gone to the Dr for a hcg blood test (they want to do another in a few days just to check if the hcg is rising as it should). This is quite triggering for me so I'm trying to take each day as it comes.

I second @avocuddles, will definitely be following this thread and rooting for everyone else's BFP:s ❤️

SunStruck · 19/01/2020 09:30

@avocuddles sorry I'm stupid, I saw how many DPO you are 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm exactly the same! Either 12 or 13 DPO. What are the chances!

Avocuddles · 19/01/2020 09:33

@SunStruck I might ask about blood tests when I ring up tomorrow, though if things aren't progressing as they should is there much that can be done at such an early stage?

My positive OPK was on jan 6th and we DTD that afternoon, so I'm guessing conception occurred that night or on tuesday 7th.....

SunStruck · 19/01/2020 09:45

@avocuddles no I know, but apparently my Dr is checking for ectopic being an older first time mum... but it is really nerve wrecking, I wouldn't recommend it.

LASandOtto · 19/01/2020 10:14

@Avocuddles that's good news! Really pleased for you and well done on getting the first injection out of the way.

@SunStruck I feel you on the hCG tests. My clinic has done them and the levels were going up every 48 hours and on the last test before the weekend they didn't - so I was of course worried shitless but my DH called the nurse and she said there was nothing to be concerned about and that my level for just coming to 6 weeks were v good (20,000 or something). Anyway, my scan is tomorrow morning and another blood test and I am absolutely bricking it. If it's bad news then I'll be devastated but we will then know and will have to deal with it. I really hope all will be fine.

I've never had much nausea (and never been sick) with the other two pregnancies (that were both MCs) and again this time my main symptoms are tiredness, sore boobs, cramps here and there, moody. That's about it.

Fingers crossed for us all and hope to see more happy sticky BFPs.

SunStruck · 19/01/2020 10:52

@lasandotto oh good luck for tomorrow, I'm sure it will turn out fine - that hcg level sound amazing! If you start out in a low level it will double quicker, and if you start out pretty high, it won't rise as quickly (and yours is high!). So what are they looking for tomorrow, a sac?

LASandOtto · 19/01/2020 11:06

Thank you @SunStruck. I'm sure you can relate to scan anxiety. I had one last week at 5+2 and we could see a sac and a yolk sac, I mean, I couldn't see anything from what she was showing me but she's said that's what she could see. It's all millimetres so, crazy they can see anything at all. I guess tomorrow they want to see progress. I really hope we do. I hate going to scans and hearing the dreaded bad news. I'm going to have to try and think of other things today as best as I can and keep busy.

How are you doing?

SunStruck · 19/01/2020 11:11

@lasandotto all good so far thanks 😊 yes scan anxiety... I've literally never had any good news at any scans (apart from my first ever one), and I've had a billion (so it feels... even after mmc and I had retained products) so far! So I really understand what you mean. We just need to remember this is a NEW pregnancy, different egg and different sperm. I've read that if you've had 2 miscarriages you're still not a much higher risk for another compared to someone who's never had one. It will be fine tomorrow 😄

MissSparkles81 · 19/01/2020 15:53

Huge congratulations @SunStruck so pleased for you lovely 🥰
