@Skygirl1983 also seems that women with shorter luteal phases have lower chances of conceiving. So

mellymoo86 · 15/11/2019 11:22

@CiaraJ01 do you have a scanner there we can all use? Lol

Maisy24 · 15/11/2019 11:28

@sh84 as long as it's 5 days before you ovulate the swimmers can last upto 7 days apparently! If it was negative the day after that means you was within the 4 days. Don't give up yet, stay positive.
Why do you think you'll miss it next month?

I'm qualified accountant specialising in financial services- very boring compared to some of you other ladies 🤣 but I love numbers!

Skygirl1983 · 15/11/2019 11:35

@CiaraJ01 I know what you mean. I used to work shifts and it was exhausting, so changed jobs and now work Monday to friday.

@mellymoo86 the average luteal phase is what, around 14 days??? My cycle with its 28/29 days is so by the book!!

mellymoo86 · 15/11/2019 11:40

@Skygirl1983 I'm confused about what mine is..

I ovulated 10th/11th Nov. So I should count 1dpo from 12th Nov? AF is expected 23rd or 24th which means my luteal phase is 11/12. Who the heck knows!

mellymoo86 · 15/11/2019 11:41

@Skygirl1983 and yeah it should be about 14 days for most women

stepmumma91 · 15/11/2019 11:48

Omg. Help me out here. What is going on!!

@Skygirl1983 normally luteal is between 11-17 days. Most women it's 12-14. Anything less than 10 may be due to hormone imbalance . I counted my last 3 months I am 12.

mrsio · 15/11/2019 11:51

@stepmumma91 what the hell? I thought the FRER were far more sensitive than the clearblue??? But that is a VERY good line on the CB

Skygirl1983 · 15/11/2019 11:52

@stepmumma91 how strange!!! That's quite a clear positive on the CB. Is the other one a FRER??

OP posts:
CiaraJ01 · 15/11/2019 11:54

@stepmumma91 I was always told you cant get a false positive so I would say the top one is just too early?! 😯

@mellymoo86 I wish we did! We do have a small supply of pregnancy tests constantly though, which I have to avoid stealing 😂
@skygirl1983 yep me too, I was meant to have Tuesdays as a day off in this new job but I decided it would just really lengthen other days which I didnt want.

I've a meeting next week to discuss my contract as I've passed probation so hoping to work from home one day - and really push maternity pay without hinting I'm ttc 🙈🙈

stepmumma91 · 15/11/2019 11:56

@mrsio @Skygirl1983 I am so confused. Very wishful thinking but the two FRERs were from the same pack - wondering if I've got a faulty batch?! Ive ordered another pack of FRERs which will be here tonight and have two more CBS here so will try again tonight!

Skygirl1983 · 15/11/2019 12:00

@CiaraJ01 it's so awkward discussing maternity and future plans. I told my work in the end that I'm ttc as it helps in the business case for us to get more staff in as we are so under staffed just now. We have a heavy union presence luckily so wouldn't dare do anything to my job security based on my plans for a family!!

@stepmumma91 can you make a doctors appointment?? Maybe the FRER was a dodgy batch when the CB are so clear!!

OP posts:
stepmumma91 · 15/11/2019 12:08

@Skygirl1983 good plan, on hold to them now lol

CiaraJ01 · 15/11/2019 12:38

@skygirl1983 I know it's really awkward!! I was taken on as a 12 month contract initially as its likely we'll merge with another surgery... but they've told me they're 100% keeping me so it's just the T&Cs to sort out. It's really annoying though as Doctors get 3 months full pay and over 6 months half pay! Whereas currently I get 6 weeks full and the rest SMP!

@stepmumma91 what did the docs say??

mellymoo86 · 15/11/2019 12:40

I feel so moody today 😒 I feel like I'm about to snap at hubby for no reason. Argh!

CiaraJ01 · 15/11/2019 12:47

@mellymoo86 this was exactly me yesterday! I snapped at my OH who didn't reply to my text cause he was in the shower!1 I actually took myself off for 10 mins to sit in a dark room and have a word with myself!!

FutureMrsSmith · 15/11/2019 12:53

@Maisy24 girl after my own heart!
I'm a numbers girl so another accountant here. I work in niche market so won't elaborate online.

mellymoo86 · 15/11/2019 12:57

@CiaraJ01 I could really have a gin and tonic right now 😩😩😩

Skygirl1983 · 15/11/2019 13:02

I haven't drank for weeks now. But my hubby has stopped drinking too so sont feel too bad.

OP posts:
stepmumma91 · 15/11/2019 13:09

@CiaraJ01 they don't deal with pregnancy related issues - would need to go to early pregnancy unit?! Will test more tonight and see how it goes!

MrsC89 · 15/11/2019 13:23

@CiaraJ01 I feel your pain may pay at my work is just the statutory. They havent had anyone go on Mat leave before

Skygirl1983 · 15/11/2019 13:31

@stepmumma91 what a load of rubbish!! All you need to know is if you are pregnant or not. Phone them tomorrow and tell them you want a booking in appointment as you have had a positive test. Then when you are there tell the doctor what has happened.

Maisy24 · 15/11/2019 13:33

@FutureMrsSmith it's a stressful job isn't it.... I don't know how I'd actually find time to have a baby! Also not many maternal types in our industry, thats actually a good thing as at work no one really assumes I want a baby and you don't get the baby talk, i work with mostly men or career women, do you find the same? Xxxx
