Hi ladies . I’ve just finished my period today and my husband and I are now going to start ttc our first baby after having my Mirena removed last week.
Is anyone else TTC this month ? I’ve ordered some ovulation tests after I said I wouldn’t because I’ve read so many success stories on them so I thought I might as well just so I have some in case !

I’d love for people to share their journey with me ! I’m 24, 25 in two weeks . So excited for our journey . I’m trying to figure out this whole lingo on here and stuff sorry! X

@Konbanwa sorry to hear it hasn’t all been smooth sailing but fingers crossed all the blood tests go well and it settles down.

Hi guys hope you don’t mind me joining in. TTC first baby as well and seems like the right thread for me. Three friends have announced their pregnancies this year so patiently (mostly) waiting my turn. Have any of you used the clear blue fertility monitor?

I think some other posters have used clear blue. I'm only on my 2nd cycle of trying, so I'm holding off on ovulation prediction until I've been trying for 3+ months...

My second will be the end of this month, I don’t even know why I’m so eager. I think I might go with the flow for another month or two as well without tracking, as I can see added pressure ahead. Fingers crossed we won’t need to track anyway.

Its strange isnt it, I guess its still possible to ov without a peak maybe? We may just have not caught it on the test. I'm CD21 now do far too late to ovulate I think. Not trying to think about it much. AF due on 21st so going to test around then.
How are you getting on? Any signs?

@Littlepea90 welcome , I’m glad you have found us . We are all nice here and very supportive .
I used the clear blue and if I can give you any advise , it would be dont do it yet. I regret ever tracking lol stick to tracking your cervical mucus (sorry if that sounds gross), and that should be good enough for now . Hopefully you won’t have to use kits at all in the future .
I know what it’s like, a few of my friends have recently announced pregnancies . I can’t help but feel slightly sad at the same time which sounds so selfish but I think it’s when you’re secretly trying , it hurts . But they’ve probably been trying for a while too but it’s so hard to not feel alone !

@JEMMA18 @notalwaysalondoner I was meant to start using the Clearblue advanced ovulation test on day 10 of my cycle according to my last cycles (30-32 days) and the table they have online, but because of the hangovers involved with the Christmas party season I was too lazy to do it! I started testing on cycle day 12 but I was obviously too late. On CD17 I got the flashing smiley (ie peak fertility) until today I got the solid high fertility smiley (CD22) which is when I took the test and voila! However it’s a pretty dark line so I’m not sure I’m 7-8dpo, so I presume I must have ovulated around CD13?

Regardless, ALL THE BABY DUST IN THE WORLD to you lovely ladies!!

@Itsemily thanks and I think you’re right. I just feel like I want t try everything that can help, but I think I’m wanting too much too soon and I need to start tracking cm definitely. Yeah it is a strange one isn’t it when you’re happy for someone, but it does make you a little sad, especially when they’ve not even tried. Hopefully we’ll all be in the same boat soon

@Littlepea90 I am constantly worrying if we haven't give oursleves the best chance but we can't possibly have done it anymore than we have as my husband is just too tired from work or too busy sometimes and before we know it it's 11pm and we are ready for bed. I have been tracking my cm but so confused as to when I've ovulated, how do you know once you've ovulated? I got loads of EWCM, more than I ever have (been on the coil for years so never had loads of signs of ovulation), and we had sex on the day I got lots of ewcm, and now it's just creamy not stretchy so I'm guessing that means I have ovulated??

@Itsemily to be fair you your husband I get that. I also think for women it’s so different, we’re on a mission and the guys are just going along with all our pee stick, ovulation tracking, cm things and I do wonder if it can be a bit overwhelming for them sometimes. As for the cm I’m not sure, I think it changes to thick and creamy, don’t quote me on that though.

@little yeah I deliberately don’t tell my husband about anything otherwise he gets a bit of anxiety . We just go with it and he is none the wiser it’s great lol

Ok I reckon I’ve ovulated then . No panic on DTD tonight haha

@ItsEmily I just assume that I've ovulated based on when the Flo app predicts I will ovulate 🤷🏻‍♀️ I tend to get EWCM, so I just take that to mean I have ovulated.

My temperature is unusually high the last couple of days so I’m hoping it might be the triphasic pattern some women get when they’re pregnant (instead of your temperature going up just once when you ovulate, it goes up again when you implant). But it could also be because I have a really grotty cold... it’s so hard not to see everything as a symptom, I’d just love so much to find out next week and be able to tell my parents at Christmas!

@notalwaysalondoner got everything crossed for you . I’m going to avoid symptom spotting and just text Christmas Eve . I’m currently 3DPO if I did ovulate when I think I did . Who knows 🤞🏼💐

It says I can test in 10 days but I’m going to wait a few extra days to be extra sure it’s accurate . I really am hoping we nailed it 💕☹️👶🏼

@itsheapsswell congrats!! That’s amazing news , this might be TMI but did you get a change in CM for your TWW before finding out you were pregnant?

AF decided to cement what I already knew. Oh well, at least I can try again later this month and plan a little better, or maybe not plan as much good luck to anyone in their tww.

I’m 10 dpo with AF due on 17th. No real symptoms except possibly slightly tender boobs. Tempted to test but know it’s a waste of money and it’s better to wait.

Had a big night out yesterday so feeling pretty rough and still have a cold - definitely going to give up alcohol in January as find it hard to say no when I keep thinking that I haven’t been pregnant the last two months so a little drink doesn’t matter anyway...

What's everyone thoughts on drinking during the TWW. It's works Christmas party tonight and I'm worrying it'll affect my chances if I drink but it's way too early to know if we were successful this cycle I'm 6/7 dpo 🤔

As you might have guessed, I’m still drinking but trying to stop at 2-3 drinks. I think if we haven’t been lucky this month I’m going to stop for a couple of months to see if it helps.

Think I'll do the same 3 drinks 😊

Luckily I can't drink alcohol, so that's not an issue for me. My problem is that I have a head massage every month to help my migraines, but now I never know if I should have one in case there's the tiny chance I'm pregnant

I should ovulate tomorrow. We DTD last night. DH has Christmas drinks tonight, so hopefully last night and tomorrow would be enough. Gaaah it's only my 2nd cycle of ttc and I'm so impatient.

I can’t drink so not got that issue , I’m just waiting to test . Not sure whether to wait til after Christmas before testing in case it’s a negative
