Hi ladies . I’ve just finished my period today and my husband and I are now going to start ttc our first baby after having my Mirena removed last week.
Is anyone else TTC this month ? I’ve ordered some ovulation tests after I said I wouldn’t because I’ve read so many success stories on them so I thought I might as well just so I have some in case !

I’d love for people to share their journey with me ! I’m 24, 25 in two weeks . So excited for our journey . I’m trying to figure out this whole lingo on here and stuff sorry! X

@chey you will get your BFP don’t worry ! Honestly try and relax , cut out caffeine if you haven’t already, drink a tonne of water as that also helps make more Fertile cervical mucus. X

@Liam2018 I honestly can’t recommend just DTD as and when you can because the first month we didn’t track and just did it when the mood said so, we’ve conceived . My app said my fertile window was X Y and Z days but as soon as I noticed I had lots of cervical mucus I documented it on the app and it switched my fertile window so I think it’s very generic . I only did Ovulation sticks out of curiosity after we’d had sex and they were very positive so I think we just got lucky by not worrying .

@Maddy0405 the exact same thing happened to my friend and the dr put her on the pill for a month to like kick start her cycle again and she conceived the following month ! So they might do that ?

@CurbsideProphet ok so it sounds gross but put your finger (middle one is best as it’s longer ) and follow your vaginal wall until you reach a little doughnut- it will either feels like the tip of your nose with a tiny dent in the middle , if you've conceived it should be very high (although this isn’t the case for everyone but it’s also a good indication of whether you’re ovulating), and it will feel more medium soft like your lips when you do a pout or your chin . Does that make sense ? If you’re going to come on your period it will be low and hard. Go in the position as if you’re inserting a tampon or do it in the shower . It’s a good technique but does feel weird first time x

@cheyanne101 I think you just have a feel around and the bit that feels like a little lump and feels different to the rest of the vagina wall, is the cervix? I know what they look like but I wouldn’t/don’t feel confident when checking mine 🤷🏼‍♀️

@itsemily how do you check your cervix? 😂 i have tried but it just feels like a mess up there and it freaks me out LOL

@Liam2018 I’m personally not tracking ovulation. Like @itsemily I’m just trying to DTD every 2-3 days. I’ve even taken my fertile window off of my period tracking app cos I was getting a bit obsessed with it and I think it was predicting wrong for me anyway. But since all that my cycle has gone completely mental and now I haven’t had a period since beginning of November (with a heap of negative pregnancy tests over the past 2 and a bit weeks). Not going to worry about any of it for now, will enjoy our trip in a few weeks and see what’s what when we get back. December would be our third month trying although I don’t even seem to have a cycle anymore so god only knows 😂 I’m taking it all in my stride though. Fingers crossed for you all x

@Liam2018 I’m really not the best at understanding ovulation so that’s why me and my husband just had sex when we could (usually every 2-3 days) but the week I conceived we had sex once and it was 5/6 days before I ovulated !
I advise you just keep having sex until your period does or doesn’t arrive , it’s much less hassle

@maddy I deffo would go to the drs that’s an insane cycle 😂😂

@itsemily I'm going to hold off testing until Tuesday in case AF is just playing silly beggars. This waiting is awful, especially as I feel nauseous and keep thinking I might be pregnant when really it could be from eating too many pringles 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi can I join please? This is my first time ttc. I was following the app flow and it said i would ovulate on the 17th (I have irregular periods so not likely) so tried before on that day but then 10 days on I was getting symptoms that made me think I could be pregnant or ovulating so I did opk and pregnancy test, opk was quite dark and the pregnancy test was a fake, we luckily dtd the two days before and I made sure I did it that day too. Do you think I should start again with my two week wait as when I did an opk today it's a lot lighter so I could not ovulated. Sorry for the big message Blush

Still no AF! Currently on CD 57 of my usual 38 day cycle 😂 We are going away on 18th jan for three weeks so when we get back if I will book GP appointment I think if still no AF. I can deal with not being pregnant but now I just don’t know what my cycle is doing it’s so frustrating!

I think I’m ovulating today, boobs are sore. Haven’t been temping or doing OPKs this month as husband is away Boxing Day until this evening so figured there wasn’t much point! Hopefully we’ll just catch ovulation when he gets back. Congratulations to all the BFP ladies, so exciting!

@curbside hopefully that’s good news . I did my test at 12DPO as that’s when my period was due and it was a strong positive so maybe do a test seeing as you’re 14DPO but don’t be disheartened if it’s a negative as you still have a few days . My main symptoms were agonising sore breasts from 6DPO and nausea . I had a few other nigly symptoms but they were the ones that stood out . Have you ever felt for your cervix ? Mine was practically unreachable at 12DPO .

@itsemily AF still hasn't arrived and I feel v sick / have heartburn. Did you have any symptoms at approx 13 or 14 DPO? I might just have a bit of a bug, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up in case AF is on her way. I don't have any cramps, but have had discomfort lower left side.

Report
CurbsideProphet · 28/12/2019 16:47

I still feel nauseous / heartburny and tired, but this is only day 25 and AF does tend to arrive day 25-27. I'm holding off testing, as I might feel sick and off from AF being imminent / my ibs being upset by eating bigger portions / randomly eating ferrero roche every time I go in the kitchen 🤦🏻

Another major symptom of pregnancy that you’ll know you’ve got BIG TIME is extremely fatigue . I think I forgot to mention that . It’s a kind of tiredness I’ve never EVER had before , I’m usually a bright bubbly morning person but I’m struggling now and it’s almost 9am ! I’m usually up at 7 🤦🏽‍♀️😭 it’s awful!

@ToCaden that really is too early to test for most people , especially if you implanted late . Got my fingers crossed for you , try and not think about it for now . Relax and enjoy your time off . I tested on day of AF and my line was as clear as day so you won’t be squinting to find it , it’ll be worth the wait i can tell you that.

@Hannahb26 it’ll come I promise !! How long have you been trying now ?
@CurbsideProphet good luck !

Bfn at 9dpo. Not looking so good for this cycle. Leaving for a few days to have Christmas with the family and not taking my tests with me. Ideally shouldn't test until after AF date, but at least I've made it more difficult to test until the 1st Jan. Will of course try to hold out a couple of days after that. I figure if I take a frer after AF if it hasn't arrived I'll know for definite one way or the other.
