Hi ladies . I’ve just finished my period today and my husband and I are now going to start ttc our first baby after having my Mirena removed last week.
Is anyone else TTC this month ? I’ve ordered some ovulation tests after I said I wouldn’t because I’ve read so many success stories on them so I thought I might as well just so I have some in case !

I’d love for people to share their journey with me ! I’m 24, 25 in two weeks . So excited for our journey . I’m trying to figure out this whole lingo on here and stuff sorry! X

Keep the test as you have something to compare it to when you do test again. From now on I won’t be testing until after AF is due. I had only been trying 2 cycles, TTC is hard on us all emotionally . Good luck though. Xx

CurbsideProphet · 28/11/2019 15:42

Isn't it just. All the years of worrying about getting pregnant and now I'm ttc it's not quite as simple as having sex Confused

notalwaysalondoner · 29/11/2019 09:51

I’m so sorry to hear that @Lea84TTC

How are you doing?

KimmyWorth · 29/11/2019 13:02

Im 25

Me and my husband havent used protection for 3 years. I have been diagnosed with PCOS. Nothing has happened

We are now trying to conceive, not sure how to track everything and what im looking for. Feel like this is a mine field

Konbanwa · 30/11/2019 10:12

Well I'm on cd24 and my boobs are feeling sore and swollen, plus I've been having nausea and headaches for the past few days.

So I relented and took a test this morning and it was a BFN. I knew it would be because I was travelling for work around my ovulation date so I think we missed catching the egg this cycle.

Oh well! Now I just need to wait for AF to show up and promise myself that I will only test again if AF is late!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

marykay124 · 30/11/2019 17:18

Hi all

Currently in our second cycle of TTC after stopping the pill.

AF is due either tomorrow or Monday. I usually never have sore breasts but have had breast pain and extreme fatigue all week. Also have had back pain and dull cramps down there. I took an IC this morning and the result was negative.

Really hoping that AF stays away and I get a BFP.

notalwaysalondoner · 01/12/2019 09:53

Hi all, and welcome to @KimmyWorth and @marykay124

I’m on CD10 today so starting the OPKs again - think will try the sperm meets egg timing approach this month so stepping up DTD a bit more! Fingers crossed for everyone in their TWW!

notalwaysalondoner · 01/12/2019 09:56

On a related note, we went house viewing yesterday and I’m finding it really hard not knowing how long this whole thing will take! If I was already pregnant then I’d probably be keen to move to a big house in the country, and we saw a lovely one yesterday, but if it’s going to take months or years I know my husband would rather stay in our little flat in London for the time being. Have any of you guys had this kind of decision about how much to prepare for a baby in your lives before one is actually on the way - don’t want to count my chickens but also don’t want to be in a big rush moving house at 9 months pregnant!

CurbsideProphet · 01/12/2019 11:34

@notalwaysalondoner if it's any consolation we can't decide whether book flights for a wedding in May, or whether to book a holiday for spring.

Depending on where you are looking it can take months to find the right house and then it can take 12+ weeks for all the paperwork to be processed etc. We started looking in January and didn't buy until the September. If you want to buy a house then maybe keep looking, but only commit for a house you really want and not for one that would "do"?

CurbsideProphet · 01/12/2019 11:38

Hi @KimmyWorth I use a free app called Flo and track my periods, but also any other symptoms throughout the month like discharge / mood swings / physical symptoms. It gives an indication of when you are likely to ovulate and most fertile days, which is helpful.

Do you have support with your PCOS?

JEMMA18 · 01/12/2019 12:05

Hey ladies how are you all?
I've been keeping updated on here but not had much to report. AF arrived and I'm now CD10 so im getting close to OV. Looks like there is a few of us on the same CD ! Exciting. Hoping to see some Christmas BFP!

Konbanwa · 01/12/2019 12:06

@CurbsideProphet We are the same and can't decide if we should book a big holiday for around Easter or not!

@notalwaysalondoner Good luck with the SMEP method and let us know how it goes. If I'm completely out this cycle I think we might be trying that in December.

GaaaaarlicBread · 01/12/2019 14:41

Hey ladies . Not much to report here either . I’m in CD8 , and according to Ovia (calculating off a 35 day cycle), I’m not due to be fertile for another two weeks but I have started signs of fertile window already. Got very fertile looking CM, tender nipples and I’ve been tracking my cervical position after reading a few people do that. It’s very high and soft . So I reckon I’m going to ovulate soon ?? But I’m no expert obviously ! But since AF finished on Tuesday we’ve DTD Wednesday , Friday and Saturday so we are keeping up with the ‘just do it regularly’ attitude so if I donovilaye early we will hopefully still give it our best shot .

I hope you’ve all had a good weekend . We were due to be in London for DH birthday but our train and hotel got cancelled after the awful attack in London Bridge XX

@notalwaysalondoner I see what you mean re: house as I had a friend who got pregnant accidentally , didn’t find out til she was about 5.5months gone, she still lived with her boyfriends parents so they literally had less than 4 months to find somewhere. DH and I deliberately bought our 3 bed house last December (almost a year now), with the intention of starting a family to sage rushing in the future . Mad I know 😂

@Konbanwa I mentioned the SMEP to my Husband and he was like ‘that’s far too much sex’ 😂😂😂

OP posts:
Konbanwa · 01/12/2019 19:41

@Itsemily I know what you mean! The SMEP method scares me a little bit!

We might end up just trying our best 😂

GaaaaarlicBread · 01/12/2019 20:26

@Konbanwa just go with the flow I think lol
I really hope this is

GaaaaarlicBread · 01/12/2019 20:27

@Konbanwa Pressed too soon!I really hope this is our month

OP posts:
Konbanwa · 01/12/2019 20:52

@Itsemily Me too! 🤞🤞

Although I'm not out of the race yet this month as AF still hasn't arrived but is due on Wednesday (if I'm back on a 28 day cycle...)

CurbsideProphet · 01/12/2019 22:27

I had to Google SMEP and crikey that is a lot of sex Grin

AF is due tomorrow for me, which isn't ideal as we have a family funeral.

I've ordered some OPKs out of interest, so I'm going to try them in December just to check if they match up with when I think I am ovulating. If it gets too complicated / I obsess too much I have already told myself that they will be going in the bin.

notalwaysalondoner · 03/12/2019 11:10

On CD12 here, expecting ovulation in next day or two. Had negative OPK last night, but soft high cervix today, and still finding it hard to tell from CM what is going on! So far are DTD every other day since CD8, so fingers crossed!
@CurbsideProphet I’m quite enjoying OPKs, they’re interesting to see how they change and haven’t made me any more obsessed than I already was!

DH is definitely starting to get very onboard with the idea of TCC - the first month I think he still found the whole idea of children a bit overwhelming, so one positive of it taking a little while is that he has had time to get used to the idea and is actively wanting it to happen now and is quite excited, especially in the build up to Christmas and saying how he hopes we’ll have a little one to celebrate it with next year Smile

GaaaaarlicBread · 03/12/2019 18:26

@notalwaysalondoner CD10 here and my app has said I’m close to ovulation despite me being on possibly a 35 day cycle ! I’m so confused by the whole CM thing this month . I find myself examining it every time I go to the toilet !!
I had a very soft and high cervix about two days ago, then last night it was medium soft so I’m baffled by that too. I keep telling myself we DTD on the day it was soft anyway so if I was ovulating we gave it our best shot ! Like you we’ve been DTD very regularly anyway . I give up examining everything lol

Good luck x

@notalwaysalondoner amazon is delivering my OPKs this week!

I'm on CD 27. AF will probably come tomorrow. It usually comes on CD 25 or 26, but I'm really under the weather and that does have an impact on my cycle.

GaaaaarlicBread · 03/12/2019 19:25

Can cervical mucus be cloudy ?
