Hi ladies . I’ve just finished my period today and my husband and I are now going to start ttc our first baby after having my Mirena removed last week.
Is anyone else TTC this month ? I’ve ordered some ovulation tests after I said I wouldn’t because I’ve read so many success stories on them so I thought I might as well just so I have some in case !

I’d love for people to share their journey with me ! I’m 24, 25 in two weeks . So excited for our journey . I’m trying to figure out this whole lingo on here and stuff sorry! X

I had no idea about my cycle due to my coil for 3 years . Not had a single period for the whole 3 years but still ovulated apparently (although I had never taken notice of Cervical Mucus etc ) but when I went for those internal ultrasounds to find my coil the lady was like oo you’ve just ovulated !

I had my first proper period the other week, and currently , it was dreadful lol

I am still monitoring my CM, not had any EWCM yet, but I’m not doing the OPKs so I’m more chilled out , just gonna keep DTD and hopefully crack it this month but who knows . Part of me is like OMG what if I don’t ovulate lol . It’s weird I should have EWCM by now but it’s not even close .

@Lea84TTC I haven’t used OPKs so cant interpret those, but is it normal to have such a dark line for lots of days in a row? I thought normally you have no line, then a pale line for a couple of days before ovulation, then a really dark line on the day?

Your temp is hard to interpret, I agree! I’d just keep on DTD every 2-3 days and keep fingers crossed! Did your CM change?

How do you guys find tracking CM? I find it really hard to tell any difference? Do you just look on your pants? Some months I’ve had obvious EWCM without even consciously tracking it, but other months it seems the same for the whole month. I do wonder if that’s why it didn’t happen this month and if I should use preseed next month... but pretty sure DH would not be on board as it’s only our second cycle of TTC and he’d think it was overkill and we should just see what happens...!

@notalwaysalondener I did check CM and noticed differences from last month but I think all this checking is effecting my mental health. I’ve gone from pregnancy symptom spotting to conception symptom spotting 😕

@lea84ttc I'm super confused by that chart! To show ovulation, there's usually three temp rises in a row but I don't see that apart from right at the start. X

@TeddyToaster unless I ovulated before I bought the thermometer. So confusing 😕

@notalwaysalondoner I'm not checking consistently but have done so a few times and it always kind of looks the same for me 🤦🏻‍♀️ the only different is sometimes it's thicker/thinner or there's less/more of it but same colour, same consistency.. sorry TMI! I've never paid much attention around ovulation (which is ridiculous because surely that's the time I should be checking) but I never seem to get the textbook EWCM everyone talks about..

@Itsemily are you checking everyday? I've read a few things that say it doesn't always look exactly as the internet says it should. Have you had any other O symptoms previously that you can rely on?

@TeddyToaster I wish I could take your lead and not get too stressed about it. I'm definitely a little more chilled than I was last month but still a bit fidgety over the whole thing..

@Hannahb26 I hope your cycles get back into the swing of things quickly ☺️ I'm currently 5/6 DPO - not sure exactly which!

I've been keeping a note on my phone about how I'm feeling, just so I can acknowledge it for future cycles/tuck it away into a box at the back of my brain for the rest of this cycle haha.

I've been having some pinches/sudden twinges on and off on my right side this afternoon, a couple have kind of shot down my right thigh and been quite uncomfortable. If I get a BFN this month I think I'll visit my GP just to rule anything out as I've not had mid cycle cramps like this before. To top it off I'm super congested and have had a dull headache like my sinuses are blocked.. not feeling well at all 🙁 can't wait to snuggle down in bed tonight with a heat pack!

So I think I have the magical EWCM?!? It's like jelly, stretchy and quite thick?) I am SO sorry to anyone eating their Sunday dinner for the TMI!)
Is this it?! Anyone else had this? Home ovulation test kit wasn't positive though?

@Hannahb26 if it’s similar to egg whites as can stretch an inch or more between your fingers then that’s it ! I think I have had trust today too, I got so excited 😂😂😂

I’m currently coming to the end of the tww (due af on 8th/9th possibly even 10th). Cycle lengths vary so not always sure when I’m due etc. First month trying properly but I’m trying to enjoy it and not obsess over it. It’s proving difficult.

I’m pretty sure I’m out this month, just don’t feel like I’m pregnant but we’ll see soon.

Welcome @HopingforfirstBFP! We're at a very similar stage in our first cycles. Mine aren't very regular either so I feel your pain! X

Hey 👋 I'm 9/10 DPO - BFN today but testing again tomorrow morning!!! Sorest boobs and also sensitive smell, really hoping for BFP xx

@AliSxo hi, we’re at similar stages. I’ve tested too and had BFNs so fast but still hoping for BFP. Fx we get some good news x

AF is due Thurs or Fri for me. I'm 99.9% sure I'm not pregnant. First month ttc so it seems unlikely.

We're making plans for a new bathroom in January, so every cloud etc

@CurbsideProphet hi! We are due af around the same time. I also don’t think I’ll be getting my BFP this month. We too are planning new bathroom for January!! X

I think I ovulated yesterday but not 100% sure as I also have EWCM this morning . We DTD last night anyway so hopefully we caught it ! Obviously because I’m not tracking I’m not sure , but I tell you what - no tracking Has been the best !

@CurbsideProphet yay! Fingers crossed for both of us this month. I tested this morning and another BFN. Not feeling very pregnant so best order some new bathroom accessories to distract myself

@han2291 your story of the dog made me die! That is so something that would happen to me if I had a dog I’m sure!

@Lea84TTC your chart really confused me not gonna lie, I’ll attach mine and as you can see it’s equally confusing because of my tests- I am currently on day 3 of the Clearblue advance opk flashing smiley which sounds to me like I’m coming up to ovulation, it would make sense on my temp chart that I haven’t ovulated yet either HOWEVER I got a very negative cheapy lh test today. I haven’t been using them all cycle but I did one and there was barely a line, making me think I’m a lot further off ovulation than I thought. No idea?

My current plan has been to DTD everyday until the smiley face goes solid and then stops but now I’m worried that could be 6 days away- we’ll be shattered!

Good luck to everyone with testing days coming up- I can’t wait for people to start seeing those two little lines appearing!

@itsheapsswell I’m just hoping that the one where it feels slightly was a measuring blip. I read a review of the strips I’m using and the lady said hers only went as high as a 17 but she still conceived. I’ve checked today on the OPK and I’m low again now. My temp has gone up and down very slightly 36:28 36:16 36:26 so staying up but not any huge variations. I don’t think our bodies want to be text book examples. I’m trying to stay positive x

@Hannahb26 fingers crossed!! I think I have deffo ovulated as I had remaining EWCM today like I usually would, where it's still slight EW, but not so much of it. I have documented it on my OVIA App as 'Possibly Ovulation' so I at least have some documentation lol. I haven't told DH, but hinted about DTD tonight again (have done it two days in a row) and he responded 'I AM EMPTY , NOT THREE DAYS IN A ROW' I laughed so hard haha. I said 'I have never met a guy refuse sex in a relationship before' as a joke and he responded 'I have never met a woman so desperate' LOL
