@KatBeCool @FlapJackered @Broodyaf @bunhead34 @RosettaR @MotherOfShihTzus @starkid @Lina365

I thought I'd start a new thread as the other one is full. Sorry if I've missed anyone out.

@RosettaR - I'm ok thank you, on cycle 24 and just dtd lots and waiting for a positive opk at the moment. I've usually ovulated by cd15 and am on cd17 now, so a bit later with it. Hopefully I didn't miss it, I hate not knowing when I'm due!

Apart from that just plodding along, waiting to hear when I'll be able to have my ultrasound the consultant wanted me to have back in February before moving on to IVF.

KatBeCool · 22/05/2020 15:55

@RosettaR AF showed up yesterday. So another no. I was going to start IUI if last month failed, called the clinic like I did before on first day of cycle, they told me they changed their procedures after being closed for covid, now they require the entire payment up front and it's mountain high, literally half the price of ivf. I asked why haven't they told people about this, they could've sent an email to their patients, there are plenty of other clinics I could've used for this cycle had I known sooner. I got some lame non-excuse. They refused to do a medicated non-monitored natural cycle of course too. Needless to say, I'm going to a different clinic, got an appointment in two weeks. The first clinic had very high reviews but I'm certainly not feeling the greatness.

RosettaR · 22/05/2020 16:43

@KatBeCool That sounds really frustrating. I'm a bit frustrated with my clinic too. If I start ivf this cycle I'll need the drugs next week to start down regulating on the 30th, but they've not booked me on yet. I've been told it will happen in the "next few working days" and they have said they will get the drugs to me next week. Meanwhile I had a positive opk this morning but unable to try naturally. It's just stress I could do without wondering if the drugs will arrive on time - if not it's a totally wasted month.

Fluffkins14 · 22/05/2020 16:45

Ahhhh can you ladies help pleaseeee! So I order some proov pdg test that turned up today just to check I did ovulate 🤣 anyhow I did! I had one frer test left and did it stupidly didn't see a line straight away (I know I should of waited) threw it in the bin just work up from a moody nap had one last peep and this was the result IC are negative.

I'm NOT taking this as my bfp but wondered what you ladies thought im only7/8dpo going by the day after my peak x

@RosettaR I swear sometimes people just fall through some kind of existence crack and have a bad experience with a business while everyone else is happy with them. I've been on both ends. If you got peak today, I'd just try it naturally anyway. Starting on the 30th wouldn't even make sense time wise. Are they having you start birth control then? If so, that normally starts on CD3-5, so is any other medication in the matter of fact. And maybe look for a new clinic that can take you in fast, if you haven't paid them yet.

RosettaR · 22/05/2020 17:48

@orangeloo argh I have just been told to alternate 50 and 75 mcg of levothyroxine. I will need to get organised!

I had such a pre ivf lunch today, it included beetroot, quinoa and salmon. No one will be able to say I didn't try!

RosettaR · 22/05/2020 17:52

@Fluffkins14 that really looks like a line but I have never seen a bfp so I don't have any real advice. Maybe try waiting a few days then test again?

Bloody autocorrect changes bfp to bfn on my phone! My phone needs to think whose side it's on here! Angry

orangeloo · 22/05/2020 21:04

@RosettaR get a pill box. It's a must if your alternating doses.

@Fluffkins14 would test again in a couple of days. Fx for you. Also where did you order the pdg tests from?. I know someone who's desperate to get them.

orangeloo · 25/05/2020 09:13

I'm 7DPO first month on progesterone that's supposed to stop my spotting. And I've had a bleed in the night. I don't know why or what this means but I'm gutted. The progesterone was supposed to stop me bleeding, I've bled more than usual for my spotting. I'm so confused

RosettaR · 25/05/2020 09:59

@orangeloo I'm really sorry to hear that, that does sound strange. Although with this kind of thimg you never know whether it's actually a bad sign or not, I think implantation bleeding is fairly common in women who get pregnant easily so at least some bleeding can be normal. Are you able to get in touch with whoever prescribed the progesterone and let them know?

I'm now booked on for ivf, in equal parts glad it's finally happening, and terrified. I start down regulating on Saturday, aiming for EC sometime the week of 6 July. My hay fever is just getting bad and there's such contradictory stuff out there about antihistamines and IVF. The clinic say it's fine but I'm still scared to take them...

@KatBeCool it's because I'm down regulating and they start you on day 21. I've decided to stick with this clinic, I don't think I can take any more waiting! They do have a good reputation, good inspection results etc. And since they've done the schedule today I'm optimistic they will get the drugs to me by Saturday. Good luck with getting your next round of IUI sorted.

orangeloo · 25/05/2020 10:06

@RosettaR thank you. I'm hopeful it's implantation but have read so much that actually it's not a thing?... I also have backache that feels like period backache. Yeah I might speak to the clinic tomorrow but I also just want to keep taking it as planned incase it is implantation. Very annoying.
That's great you start your IVF cycle so soon. Is this your first cycle?

KatBeCool · 25/05/2020 10:52

@RosettaR I'm wasting this cycle regardless of which clinic I choose, and, honestly, I'd rather not be with a specialist who just wants to follow the protocol instead of doing any tests. He proclaimed that I don't ovulate when my progesterone was too low on CD21, well the chemical had proven him wrong. My body is definitely not making enough progesterone, as I suspected. By the way, when I got my chemical pregnancy, it was the first cycle when I started taking a daily antihistamine. I took an "on demand" type before but always ended up suffering after the ovulation when I tried not taking any because of same fears you have. So it seems that at least a daily preventative antihistamine is fine.

@orangeloo bleeding on 7 dpo is unlikely to be related to AF so progesterone might not be able to affect it. When did your spotting start before?

orangeloo · 25/05/2020 10:56

@KatBeCool I usually start spotting around 7DPO and tests last month confirmed that after 7DPO my progesterone plummets. So really thought progesterone supplements would be the thing to stop this.

orangeloo · 25/05/2020 10:57

@KatBeCool this is heavier 'spotting' than I usually have. So strange.

KatBeCool · 25/05/2020 16:18

@orangeloo do you take it orally? Maybe suppositories would be more effective.

orangeloo · 25/05/2020 17:17

@KatBeCool I have the suppositories, taking them rectally too (sorry tmi) as was told they absorb better that way. God knows what's going on. Hoping it's implantation but being that spotting has always been an issue for me it's really not what I want to see.

RosettaR · 25/05/2020 18:03

@KatBeCool thats interesting. What antihistamine were you taking? It seems (from reading pretty much everything on google this morning) the general view is that histamine plays a mysterious role in implantation so the cautious thing would be not to take them. But some people think they help by dampening down the immune system. Just wish someone could tell me what's most likely to get me pregnant, I hate having to decide for myself!

Best of luck @orangeloo. Have you had more bleeding today? I guess it would be a hopeful sign if it stops. The suppositories sound unpleasant! The things we do to try to get pregnant...

KatBeCool · 25/05/2020 19:33

@orangeloo wait, rectally? Pretty sure you take those vaginally.

@RosettaR I take cetirizine, 5mg. I cut the 10mg pill in half and that seems to be enough for me. Sometimes, if I still get allergies, I use Rhinocort spray and that takes care of it. Rhinocort is safe for pregnancy.

orangeloo · 25/05/2020 20:24

@RosettaR I know haha. it's definitely slowed and light brown so fingers crossed.

@KatBeCool you can take them either way. Fertility nurse said rectally is better as they actually absorb better and less messy.

Lina365 · 01/06/2020 06:48

Hi everyone, sorry that I disappeard! Thanks for asking @KatBeCool, I think I've recovered ok. I went for a scan and they said it didn't look big enough, then I had some tests done because they wanted to double check, and the tests confirmed miscarriage, and then I took the pills to get rid of it all. I was dreading it, but it was super easy for me. No pain, less bleeding than my regular period. Not sure if my cycle is back to normal, I had some bleeding which could have been AF but not sure. Also thought I spotted the ovulation, but it wasn't a clear plus on the stick. Emotionally, I'm doing ok. I feel it was a good sign that we had a bfp naturally, so fingers crossed now it'll happen again. Preferably before our first ivf after the summer. I do get a little bit frustrated at times and fear that the covid19 situation will close the clinics again this summer. How are you doing? And everyone else?

KatBeCool · 01/06/2020 07:48

@Lina365 I'm on CD12, all signs point to timely ovulation this time around. Trying new supplements this time as I have nothing to lose. The appointment with the new fertility clinic is on Thursday. I don't know what their process is but hopefully they'll do a scan on that day and I'll know if I ovulated as it'll be CD15. What CD are you now?

@starkid how are you doing? You've been quiet.

starkid · 01/06/2020 08:28

@KatBeCool hey :) nothing new is happening here that's why I'm quiet haha. Just waiting for AF due in the next couple of days, with all the usual PMT signs here. Waiting for the hospital to allow routine scans again so can have the additional pelvic ultrasound the consultant wanted me to have before we move onto any of the IVF consultations... Now would've been a good time for all these appointments seeing as I'm furloughed! Very low about it all as usual
What supplements are you trying this time round? I'm using Pregnacare liquid and the last two cycles also extra b6 after ovulation, think I read that was the right way round to do it?!

@Lina365 I'm glad the pills and process were not too horrible for you, so sad to hear of it Sad like you said, getting a bfp naturally is good though, fingers crossed will happen again Smile

starkid · 01/06/2020 08:29

@KatBeCool also good luck with your new clinic!

Lina365 · 01/06/2020 10:54

@RosettaR Your lunch sounds yummy!

@starkid Yeah I was lucky in that sense. All the grief turned into anger and frustration (so many pregnancy and birth announcements) pretty quickly, then we found out we got an appointment to go plan ivf, and now we're just waiting for July/August to start the nasal spray. I'm feeling less impatient and more relieved that things are moving on.

@KatBeCool I don't know what cycle day I have because when I last had bleeding, I thought it was from the miscarriage still and I never made a note of when it happened. I should have done because last week the doctor asked me questions all I could tell her was I'd been bleeding on and off. But I do know that now I've been spotting a few days, so hopefully it'll be cd1 soon .

Oh, I forgot. My other endometrioma has grown. Still not huge, but apparently it has grown. I'm hoping it just keeps changing its size and isn't getting in the way of my eggs' development.
