Anyone else starting their TTC journey in next few month?

I'm 35 and me and hubby will be starting to try in the next 2-3 months after our honeymoon.
Terrified as to if we are ready and also worried about my age 😬 anyone want to share their journey with me?xxx

It was definitely period for me! Very heavy still . I won't be trying in December but back in action January.

My period would have been due yesterday had I ovulated on time but with it being late I’m not expecting it for another few days. Hope everyone is enjoying the run up to Christmas! I only have 5 more days at work, can’t wait for a break!

I suspect I may be out. Took a reliable test today (13DPO) and it came up negative. I'll do another in two days, but if I ovulated much later than predicted I'm out from a BD timing perspective anyway...🤷‍♀️

I'm having cramps every day still and nausea most of the day. Keep wondering if its appendicitis and I'm putting it down to baby making. Had severe hyperemesis last time so I remember this feeling well.
Bfn cheapies every day but I'm only d6po and obsessed.

So AF arrived for me today, definitely expected with us not really trying this month and with my late ovulation. So a new cycle begins and we will definitely be actively trying! Should be due to ovulate on 2nd Jan so will be in my fertile week between Christmas and new year!

Am I going mad or is there something here? I'm 7dpo and so symptomatic. Heavy sore boobs, constant cramps and nausea, hating smells.

@SweetpeaOrMarigold there may be something there, really really faint... Test again in a few days? The symptoms do sound promising so hope this is it for you!

@zinrepus your trip sounds incredible, hope you've managed with the jet lag okay! We went to the US last year and I found it was worse coming back for some reason. But hope you escape it! Have you tested again yet? If it's negative then at least there'll be festive drinks aplenty :)

@Waiting1987 and @MrsB25 sorry AF arrived, at least when it's out the way you can enjoy Christmas! Between Christmas and New Year is a lovely time to try @MrsB25, you'll be all relaxed from the break so will have everything crossed for you!

We didn't end up trying this month, too much going on. I am SO ready for the Christmas break, this week I'm mainly trying to dodge people with colds in the office and have so many meetings. Why does everything suddenly become super urgent at this time of year?! AF is due for me at the weekend, so after that I'm hopeful we'll be looking to try properly! New year, new start and all that ☺️ what's everyone's plans for the holidays? It's been really nice to have you guys to chat to about this stuff over the past couple of months, I'm excited to start TTC together next year!

If AF comes when she's supposed to then my next fertile window should be just after New Year... So we'll see how that goes!

@MrsB25 that's the perfect Christmas, hope you have an amazing time! Same really, I'm heading to my family on Saturday as I finish on Friday, then DH will follow when he finishes work next week. Then some time with his family, before we spend New Year with friends. Will be busy but it's great to see everyone! I'm planning to eat a lot of mince pies and watch TV, really looking forward to the Gavin and Stacey special haha.

We can do it, just a few more days!😂

Hope everyone is okay, I finished work yesterday and it could not be more welcome! Currently on my way down to my parents, feeling like a teenager again with my massive bag struggling on the train. I always overpack lol.

Also waiting for AF to arrive, Flo says she's due today and I have had a bit of cramping but no show yet. Wish she'd just hurry up now!

Flashing smiley face here this morning. It's come around again so fast. We aren't able to try this month but always enjoy seeing the smiley face anyway.

Really enjoying being off work! Feel so relaxed already. CD 7 today for me so not quite into my fertile window just yet. Fingers crossed that AF doesn’t arrive tomorrow @SweetpeaOrMarigold

The testing going less well. Bunch of negatives and now on CD36! Had a teensy bit of spotting today. I'm just waiting for AF but since she didn't arrive before the second flight, I'm guessing it'll be a few more days. 😑

But been having some holiday fun. How's everyone else?

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! I had a very chilled time with my parents for a few days and now at the in laws, very much enjoying the break and the insane amount of food 😊

AF is finally here, which made my last cycle 34 days... A bit longer than last time, so I think my periods are still irregular since coming off the pill. Had a chat with hubby yesterday night (after a fair amount of wine 😬) and we are going to try properly this cycle! Excited and nervous now, once AF is out the way then will be looking forward to my fertile window for the first time!

@zinrepus hope you know one way or another, it's a pain being in limbo. And still have my fingers crossed @SweetpeaOrMarigold!

I got my happy stick on christmas eve @Bims2019 🙃 and then checked again this morning to find a good proper pink line of my dreams. Really symptomatic and feeling rough but overall a very happy girl.

Hope you all had a great Christmas! Mine sounds like yours @Bims2019 lots of food!! I’m due to ovulate on 2nd Jan so according to my app I will be in my fertile window from tomorrow. We’ve DTD every other day for the past week just in case it’s early (I find it so much easier to make time for it when not at work 🤣)

Am currently in GP for anti-emetics. Had HG with DS and feel dreadful so am here for help before it kicks off. Apparently you should start them before the vomiting so hoping not to need a drip this time

@MrsB25 we were saying the same thing, it's so much easier to find time to DTD when we're not at work... And more relaxed 😂 will be making the most of it when AF is out the way! I'm due to ovulate around 10th Jan so lots of new year BD for us. Can already feel myself getting my hopes up, but know it would be very lucky to fall straight away.

@SweetpeaOrMarigold it's good that they can do something about the HG early on, I don't know much about it only that it can be really nasty. Take care of yourself!

Hi all! Congrats @SweetpeaOrMarigold that is such a lovely Christmas gift... Well, bar the sick, sorry about that, hopefully your GP gets you sorted!

My Christmas morning AF FINALLY reared her head (lovely 36 day cycle with all the travel). We fly back home tomorrow evening, so hopefully that won't muck with my cycle too much.

As soon as we arrive I'll be ordering some OPKs. I've got a predicted OD of 10 Jan as well, so seem to be in sync with you now @Bims2019. 😜 The joys of long haul flights.

We've had a lovely Christmas spending time with all my siblings and my nephew (2 months old). It's been a reality check for what we're signing up for, but I am really excited nonetheless!

@zinrepus ah yay, ovulation buddies! 😂 It's a pain when lovely long cycles push back your OD, but at least we know where we are now! And can crack on with a new cycle 😆 do you mind me asking where you get your OPKs from? I've seen some in Boots but know a lot of people order them online, which I guess is cheaper?

It must have been really nice spending time with your nephew, definitely agree that seeing other people with their babies gives a bit of a reality check. I know it's going to be tough and will change our lives completely, but like you I'm really looking forward to how rewarding it will be as well 😊
